Liga Portuguesa

Todos Somos Portugal 16 August @ 07:11 AM EST
Ainda pouco oleada começou a nossa Liga. Click to continue reading...

And So It Ends

The Offside: Valencia 30 May @ 12:16 AM EST

And just like that, the season ends.

Today's it's the 38th and final match of the season, a home game against Athletic Bilbao.

The Offside: Valencia 13 May @ 11:34 AM EST

Today's the Copa Del Rey final between Champions League finalists FC Barcelona and plucky little Athletic Bilbao.

Where's the match being held? Our favorite stadium in the heart of Valencia, Spain: the Mestalla ...

Thousands of fans are currently mulling about the stadium, ordering drinks at Manolo's from Hugo Viana and Curro Torres, getting their kicks at Bunnies or buying their replica kits at the corner 7-11.

A New Age Beckons

In the End the Germans Win 13 August @ 05:00 PM EST
In 1965 these players were plying their trade. Ferenc Puskas, Garrincha, Pele, Bobby Charlton, George Best, Franz Beckenbauer, Eusebio, Johan Cruyff, Alfredo Di Stefano and Gerd Muller. With more than some arguments, from Argentines especially, this could be considered an all time top 10 list. Surely this was the golden age of football, talent wise? Click to continue reading...

Arsenal chase Man United’s Portuguese target

Caught Offside 27 June @ 03:36 PM EST
Having lost Flamini to Milan and (most probably) Hleb to Barcelona, it leaves the midfield at The Emirates Stadium rather light. Therefore, Arsene Wenger has seen fit to move for a Portugese star, one who has been tracked by Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan. Sporting Lisbon midfielder maestro Miguel Veloso has been tracked by a [. Click to continue reading...
