Jordan Rhodes has certainly got the Premier League's attention. As many as eight top flight
clubs were represented at Huddersfield Town's game against Wycombe Wanderers last week. And they
are likely to have been impressed – the striker bagged five goals in a remarkable display.
As there are three teams promoted and four teams relegated from League One, seventeen sides
spent the entirety of 2011 in the third tier. Of these teams it was League One play-off finalists
Huddersfield Town that ended the year with the best record. It was only everyone's favourite
franchise MK Dons that won the same number of games during 2011.
Stoke City So when does a blip become a rut? And when does a slight worry become a deep-rooted
concern? Stoke have now lost their last five domestic games, and these have included games that
they would hope to have taken points from: QPR (h), Bolton (a), Newcastle (h, Liverpool (h) and
Arsenal (a). They [.
We were surprised at the news a few weeks ago that 21 year-old Tamas Kadar was finding it
difficult at Newcastle, and that his career on Tyneside was in some jeopardy. Tamas Kadar
Newcastle career in jeopardy Tamas has had an awful lot of injuries at Newcastle over the
last 18 months or so, and even his loan spell at Lee Clark's Huddersfield Town last January
was cut short after only two games, because of a [.

to bring you even more great football reads every single day. We'll be slowly introducing you to
them over the coming weeks so that, by the time the first ball of the 2011-12 season is kicked in
anger, you'll be firm friends.
English Football League One side Huddersfield Town have unveiled their Umbro 2011/12 away kit. It
was modeled by the team's supporters across the West Yorkshire city during its launch earlier this

Had a great time at the Division One Play-off final with our Peterborough United fan friends. Great
way to round off the season especially given that Posh emerged victorious despite being under the
cosh for the majority of the 2nd half.
The Huddersfield Town fans had travelled in large numbers and dominted Old Trafford with their
colour co-ordinated t-shirts.
Hit The North Last weekend EFW made a late decision to hit the north and take in a bit of football
and rugby league action. We saw Peterborough spank Huddersfield at Old Trafford in the League One
play-off final, followed that up with a brief stop over at The Reebok Stadium, Bolton before
rounding off the weekend at Wigan Warriers v Hull Kingston Rovers.
The extent to which the history of a football club can be woven into its modern day persona.
It's obvious that there is nothing genetic in passing down a legacy of greatness at a club. The
enduring power of those that stay at the top is nothing to do with inherent superiority, but is
usually a more prosaic matter of financial clout and strong organisation at every level of the club
concerned.
It's the last weekend of major European soccer for a while, but the season's most anticipated
matchup is still on tap.
Barcelona and Manchester United square off in the UEFA Champions League final at London's
Wembley Stadium in a rematch of the 2009 final, which Barcelona won, 2-0, in Rome.
Some fairly predictable entries this week but, to be fair, it is the biggest game of the season
for all concerned. Last one for a while, so enjoy: Manchester United Winning the Premier League
title in a year in which none of you competitors have displayed enough quality or quantity of
performances is one [.
That's Entertainment Huddersfield Town* 3-3 AFC Bournemouth (18:05:11) Ladies and gentlemen, Mr
David Hartrick..... Right, let me set this up for you. I'm a Brighton fan - this is common
knowledge but what you may not have realised is that I live in Huddersfield. This can be
problematic as most of my mates are naturally Huddersfield Town fans (Brighton being beaten 7-1 the
season before this

In League One, the sense that this was to be the year of the south coast started to grow as
winter turn to spring. Brighton & Hove Albion soared away at the top of the table, and as the home
straight of the season came into view, the pre-season favourites Southampton also began to pull
away into the distance, themselves securing an automatic promotion place with a couple of games of
the season still to spare.
Promotion play-off bound English Football League One club Huddersfield Town FC unveiled their
2011/12 Umbro home kit on Saturday ahead of their home game against Brentford. According to the

Football League Clubs and Twitter57 of the 72 Football League clubs now have an official Twitter feed and they're proving popular to
say the least.
The Game Having reached the fifth round of the F.A. Cup on Sunday after battling past Huddersfield
Town on Sunday, Arsenal are back in Premiere League action as we host Everton at the Emirates.
Samir Nasri is ...
There are many ways of looking at this game.
Some people will be frustrated. They're likely to call this a horror show. They'll say the
Gunners were extremely lucky to go through. It's not a completely wrong opinion but I won't call it
fair either.
Others will say it needed some ability to win despite playing with 10 men for so long.
I usually have a good moan about early kick-offs and that's when they're at 1.30 so todays
midday start is going to feel really strange. I like to look forward to going to football well for
at least a few hours anyway but today it's up, washed, dressed and out the door before my coffee
has a chance to hit the sides of my stomach.

After seeing off Championship side Ipswich Town in the League Cup Arsenal next face Huddersfield
Town from League One in the FA Cup.
To be honest, Arsene Wenger must have been really pleased with this draw. I know I am really
happy Arsenal are facing a team two divisions or 44 places below them, and that too at home.
It's clear that new Newcastle manager Alan Pardew wants the top youngsters at Newcastle to be
getting games at lower league clubs. Tamas Kadar on loan to Huddersfield for a month And last night
there was an announcement that Lee Clark's Huddersfield Town of Division One have completed the
signing of Newcastle United defender [.

A memorable third round, with plenty of shocks, although you can't help but feel that several
Prem managers will quietly be very happy to be out of the competition this morning. Sad but true
not being relegated is now way more important than a decent cup run that would (at best) probably
end in semi-final defeat against Man Utd or Chelsea.
