Next Seasons Starting XI?

Middlesbrough FC news, match reports and articles - Boro Mania 15 June @ 01:19 PM EST

As the relegation we have suffered slowly sinks in we have to learn to move on and move forward.

Many players are been linked with futures elsewhere as well as a few of the players stating they may see their futures been decided away from the Boro.

This is to be expected in the modern game, though whilst the season was still in progress it was a very disrespectful happening to both the fans and the club that currently employed them.

Viduka shows Boro what they are missing

Middlesbrough FC news, match reports and articles - Boro Mania 12 May @ 03:00 PM EST

He may not have got onto the scoresheet last night but former Boro favourite Mark Viduka was the best player on the St James' Park pitch as Boro slumped to yet another away day defeat.

The Aussie, a player Boro essentially couldn't afford to keep, was everything Afonso Alves and Marlon King weren't.

Where do we go from here?

Gooner Talk 11 May @ 07:25 AM EST

Watching our collapse against Manchester United set me to thinking about what changes we need to make at Arsenal. Right now we just aren't good enough to win a trophy. We need to offload some players and we need to start looking at other players who could come in and address our shortcomings. Click to continue reading...

Steve Zakuani has Arsenal blood

Soccerblog 26 April @ 07:25 PM EST

Seattle beat San Jose, 2-0 yesterday. Steve Zakuani scored a goal and assisted in the second, as the Sounders maintained the best start in MLS history for an expansion team. In that game, goalie Kasey Keller broke the MLS record for the most minutes played without conceding a goal.

The Congolese winger, a London transplant is turning out to be a key player for Sigi Schmid's aspirations and is justifying Seattle's faith in picking him first in the MLS draft as he decided to forgo the last two years at the Univ of Akron.

Middlesbrough Game Thread

The Offside - Arsenal 26 April @ 07:39 AM EST

Lineups are in:

Middlesbrough:

Jones

McMahon-Wheater-Huth-Taylor

O'Neil-Bates-Tuncay-Downing

Aliadiere-King

Bench: Turnbull, Hoyte, Digard, Emnes, Alves, Johnson, Grounds

As for us, it's close to what I predicted yesterday, with Almunia coming into the squad and Eboue spelling Sagna:

Almunia

Eboue-Toure-Silvestre-Gibbs

Walcott-Fabregas-Denilson-Nasri

Bendtner-Arshavin

Bench: Fabianski, Diaby, Sagna, Vela, Song, Djourou, Adebayor

Good news about Almunia, as this will give him a chance to get game sharp again before Wednesday's game.

No Bid For Arteta, Wilshere Signs Pro Deal, Wenger Going Nowhere

The ArseNole 02 January @ 10:58 AM EST
Morning all. A pretty good bit to get through today so let's get right down to it.
We've been linked with Mikel Arteta quite a bit going into this transfer season, but Wenger says no enquiry has been made. Now this could just be trying to throw off potential competition for his signature or he could really be serious about, and I have a hunch that maybe they really aren't interested in Arteta. Questions and answers about the Silvestre signing.

Goonerboy 21 August @ 05:03 AM EST
As usual with Arsene's signings, the arrival of Mikael Silvestre has brought more questions than answers.
Am I happy about the signing? Hmm. Ask me on Septemeber 2.
Will Silvestre be part of our first XI? No, I don't think so. Unless Kolo is put in midfield, and he starts at CB next to Gallas, I think Silvestre will be our first choice back-up to the defence. Click to continue reading...
