Any player the Timbers sign is always subject to the player passing a full physical exam
The Player is our priority #1 and I am optimistic Valencia will still be a part of our

One of the homework items Papiss Cisse could do while he has a little bit of spare time out there
in Africa, is to check out Alan Shearer's goal-scoring record at Newcastle. Alan Shearer one of
the 206 goals he scored for Newcastle Over a magical 10 year period when he was on Newcastle's
books [.
Philadelphia Union assistant coach John Hackworth spoke to reporters via conference call on
Wednesday night ahead of today's SuperDraft. He discussed the Union's approach to the Players
Combine, the possibility of trades, particularly for an international spot, and how the Union are
in a different position going into the 2012 SuperDraft compared to 2010 and 2011.
Tickets for the daftly named LionsXII, sorry but it is a daft name, opening game in the Malaysia
Super League against Kelantan go on sale this Friday. Again the Singapore FA have this nonsense
idea that tickets will only go on sale to Singaporeans and Permanent Residents which means if I
wanted to go I couldn't.

With the holidays upon us, it's important to remember what's really important and matters the
most.
That reflection can happen at home with family and within your own religious faith, but also within
your team, too.
We're almost a third of the year through the 2011-12 Premier League season, and already several
summer signings have stood out as comparatively bargain buys. Which clubs have done their best
homework to find the bargains who are producing the ...

It's Halloween weekend and FC Tokyo's mascot, Tokyo Dorompa (seen
above) dressed to the theme at a J-League match two days ago. Vale vale vale,
the outfit looks like it was put together in less than 10 minutes, but you know
Dorompa wanted all the attention to be on him.

The Rams ate my homework Derby County youngster Mason Bennett is set to make his debut aged 15 this
weekend. He will become the Rams' youngest ever player in the process, but his first appearance is
a few days later than planned. Manager Nigel Clough had to shelve plans to include him in the squad

The goal scorer and the muffler
Not quite the class of the goal that Dennis Bergkamp scored but it was a goal that was enough to
send us top of the group with a point ahead of the beaten side, Marseille. Another one of those
where the result was more important than the performance. 5 wins out of 6 games now and that is
momentum building.
Liverpool hot-shot Luis Suarez insists he is not worried about becoming a marked man from rival
defences after lighting up the Premier League.
Suarez has been a revelation at Anfield since arriving during the January transfer window from Ajax
and he has carried the form he showed last season into the new campaign.
Trouble arrives for Chelsea ahead of their second league game this weekend against West Brom
after reports from the Blues' camp confirmed that goalkeeper, Peter Cech, picked up an injury
during training and is likely to be absent for three-four weeks.
The bad news was revealed by the London club's manager, Andre Villas-Boas to the press stating
that the Czech international player suffered a ligament injury because he fell awkwardly in the end
of Wednesday's training.
As the US prepares for its critical quarterfinal Gold Cup match tomorrow at RFK, Bob Bradley
appeared calm and focused at the pre-game press conference when discussing his team's progress
during the Gold Cup.
"The Gold Cup all along has been circled as the championship of our confederation, an
opportunity to qualify for the Confederations Cup," said Bradley.
Fehr's parents are traveling the 7,000 miles from Tokyo to MexicoAt the end of fourth grade, Fehr was invited to try out for Tokyo Verdy 1969, a club that had
moved to Tokyo about the same time as Fehr and his family. There were more than 300 kids at that
tryout, and three, including Fehr, were selected to join the club's academy system.

Today I am prostituting myself and as the title would suggest, I am appealing to the Asian
Market for my "Hits". Now that I am a record breaking AA Poster, I would like to move swiftly on
to today's topic. Total Football and The Wenger Way. At this point, I am about to drop a bomb on
some heads, and would therefore urge the likes of TA to "Tin Hat Up".

Along with the my posts about the two key players for Chelsea against United this coming Sunday in
David Luiz and Didier Drogba, I am reposting this article I wrote before the United games before,
because they are still relevant and I believe key in how to beat United on Sunday.
I have had a look at Manchester United and have come up with some key weaknesses in their game that
we need to exploit.
I have had a look at Manchester United and have come up with some key weaknesses in their game that
we need to exploit tomorrow. We all know about the threat they pose going forward. Chelsea need to
remain solid and disciplined defensively first and foremost. If we can keep Nani quiet and
frustrate Wayne Rooney we are half way there.

out of the way, the dog kind of ate my homework this week.

One of constant complaints among football managers is that the media takes their words and
twists them. The latest example of this comes from The Daily Telegraph whose headline
today screams "Arsene Wenger: Arsenal can win quadruple." Except he never said that.
Lineups are in:
Arsenal: Wojo, Eboue, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Cesc, Nasri,
Theo, van PersieStarters: Bench: Almunia, Gibbs, Squillaci, Denilson, Rosicky,
Bendnter, Arshavin
Barcelona: Starters: Valdes; Daniel Alves, Pique, Abidal, Maxwell;
Busquets; Xavi, Iniesta; Pedro, Villa, Messi
Bench:
Nothing overly surprising for us.
Manchester United haven't made any signing in the January transfer window as Sir Alex Ferguson
believed that their current squad is already good enough, however in the summer the veteran manager
revealed that in the summer they will make at least one signing.
Speaking in an interview, Ferguson stated that there's a player that they are already interested
in getting in January, unfortunately the deal wasn't possible at the time so it's being postponed
until the new season start.
Kacey Ludwig, McKinney North/Missouri S&T (2015)
From the Star Local News in Plano, TX comes news of a signing for Missouri S&T Miners soccer
program
Ludwig, the Lady Bulldogs' other captain, wasn't sure at first whether she would play soccer in
college at all. What sold her on joining the Missouri S&T roster were her future teammates, she
said.

Rachna, Shana, and Megan give an outlook to how they think the MLS and WPS drafts will shape up
as they review the MLS combine. A resolution is made that one of the girls will register for the
WPS draft next year, but you can find more about that in the movie that comes out in 20 years
