As a fan of a Non-League side it's very rare that I have anyone to talk to about the team I
support. I completely understand why some people will have little or nothing to say about the
Non-League but what really gets on my nerves is when I hear people writing it off as being a poor
level of football.
We'll be giving over a lot of time to the non-league game over the next few days on
Twohundredpercent out of deference to Non-League Day, which is to be held this
Saturday. We'll have more on this later in the week, but first of all here's NLD's co-founder, Mike
Bayly, on the decline of terrace wit.
Brad Guzan and Eric Lichaj both started in Aston Villa's 2-0 win over Hereford United in the
Carling Cup on Tuesday. Lichaj scored the opening goal in the 80th minute, with Villa doubling the
lead eight minutes later. Lichaj was yellow carded in the 70th minute. "You're always wondering if
the players are thinking seriously about the start and approach to the game when they are playing
against a team from a lower division," Villa.
Frank Simek and Carlisle United dropped their opener to Notts County while Jemal Johnson and
Southend United picked up three points in a home win over Hereford United

Tickets, starting at $30, are still available.
It was revealed at the start of July that the Tigers were closing on a deal for Gulacsi, who has
yet to make a first-team appearance at Liverpool.
He has, however, enjoyed loan spells at Hereford United and Tranmere Rovers, and is tipped to be
the Tigers' first choice this season.
The Championship club also have former Bristol City goalkeeper Adriano Basso on trial and Hull's
head of football operations Adam Pearson expects to secure a deal for Gulacsi.
Gulacsi Set to Join Hull on Loan
Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is believed to be on the verge of a season-long loan move to
Hull City. The Hungarian youngster, who has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Reds has
been promised the accolade of first-team football – something which is likely to sway his
decision to move to the KC Stadium.
It's time, then, for our weekly round-up of charities related to football that you can get
involved in or donate to. If you have a charitable venture that you would like to see featured on
Twohundredpercent, feel free to drop us a line (Tuesday or Wednesday is the best day to do this,
lest your email get lost in a pile of other messages that we receive) and we will make sure to
include you.
I know, you've been listless the past few weeks. Something's missing in your life, maybe you're
not eating enough protein? Haven't called your mother recently? Or maybe it's the lack of Bolton
Wanderers. Well, fret not dear reader, as the Men in White have quite the busy summer planned.
We've known for a while about the jaunt over the pond, and your beloved bloggers will even be
attending the Houston match.

Liverpool goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi is set to leave Anfield on a season long loan according to
manager Kenny Dalglish according to reports on Sky Sports.
Gulacsi has been with Liverpool since 2007 but is yet to feature for the Reds and is currently the
second choice keeper at the Merseyside club.
As they have done on so many occasions already this season, they cut it fine. At home against a
Dagenham & Redbridge team that is fighting tooth and nail against relegation, Brighton & Hove
Albion still managed to fall a goal behind before winning a thrilling match by four goals to three.
It has been that sort of season for the club.
I'm not generally a fan of points deductions, as they are the one punishment guaranteed to
punish the club as an entity (as well as the players and fans), without really punishing the people
responsible for the transgression in the first place. However, most of the points deductions in
recent times have been off the field transgressions.

If ever you needed proof that the FA Cup has lost its lustre then this week should do the
trick.
While people's attentions have been firmly on the drama of the Champions League, the fifth round
of the historic competition has arrived with almost no fanfare.
The biggest team in the country – sorry Liverpool fans – faces non-league Crawley while
Leyton Orient (fresh from their screwing-over at the hands of Newham Council, West Ham United and
the Olympic Park Legacy Company) play Arsenal, but there's a distinct lack of romance in the
air.
Football league 2 Saturday 12th February 2011
This was more traumatic than botched dentistry. An afternoon like this could dent the confidence
and finances of this football club for the rest of the season. Cheltenham cannot win at home and
every game at Whaddon Road feels more and more like root cannel work.
One of the more interesting facets of the South Wales derby is that neither Cardiff City or
Swansea have ever managed to "do a league double" over the other side. Craig Bellamy's
wonder-strike on Sunday afternoon ensured that Cardiff City not only left the Liberty Stadium with
all three points, but also left without the inigmany of being the first side to lose two league
games against their bitter rivals in the same season (Swansea won the derby fixture at Cardiff last
November)
I thought it might be interesting to take a look at the other fixtures that haven't produced a
league double for either side and the results were (in my opinion) very surprising.
Buried in the annals of history at Newcastle United are the horror images of FA Cup nightmares
at the hands of Hereford United and Birmingham City, both shocking enough defeats to curdle the
blood of the most fanatical Geordie fan. Today, Stevenage United of League Two, a massive 73
positions below their illustrious Premier League opponents, added their own page to the history
books in Geordieland with a thoroughly deserved 3-1 win in the FA Cup 3rd Round.
