Ladies and Gentlewinkles, I give you the "Future of Sport", ULTIMATE TAZER BALL
which is, essentially, just 4-a-side football match but with the added jeopardy of suffering a
massive, tazer-induced heart attack...
The future is here people, and just in time for the Olympics too!

Group A: African Cup of Nations Preview (Equatorial Guinea, Libya, Senegal, Zambia) is a post
from: Just Football
No introductions, you know what this is. The African Cup of Nations 2012, in
all its resplendent glory. This will be the 28th edition of the Cup of Nations and the third
covered on Just Football after 2008 and 2010.
I lost a friend and a mentor on Monday when Bob Jordan passed away due to a heart attack. Bob,
and his efforts on behalf of first the Pershing Generals and later the Glendale Falcons, was the
impetus for my efforts here. Without his support and assistance, I would not have been able to pull
it off.
Took a little while for me to get this post out due to all the stuff that's been going on since
Sporting KC's season ended. But here's a look at my post season grades.
Korede Aiyegbusi - INC - Only played 94 minutes for KC in league play this year, not enough to
warrent a grade.
Davy Arnaud - C+ - Missed quite a bit of time after having hernia surgery, and once back found
himself as a back up to the midfield trio of Cesar, Espinoza, and Zusi.
I was watching the Swansea vs Aston Villa game on TV yesterday when it was announced out of the
blue that Gary Speed had died at 42. Shay Given in tears during the minute's tribute to Gary Speed
yesterday At first I thought it may have been a heart attack, since no details were given in the
telecast about the [.
Okay, so we didn't have proton packs. But But Bobby Brown's words otherwise ring true:
"So they packed up, regrouped, got a grip, camera quick.
Grabbed their proton packs on their backs and they split."
Maybe Thierry Henry is no Vigo, but there is something about our boys traveling to NY in 45
degree weather on a snow soaked field and bringing home a W that actually makes me want to sing
Bobby Brown songs.

Another summer has come and gone, and as the leaves begin to change into their familiar autumnal
hues, the brazen few citizens of Revs Nation once again will be forced to mutter the
all-too-familiar statement, "well, maybe NEXT year". It's a statement that is fortified in 16 years
of heartache and near-misses, as well as what can also be perceived as organizational apathy.
Although many would love a go at managing Tottenham, Harry Redknapp's current predicament is
unlikely to arouse much envy at the moment. Tax evasion allegations aside, the gaffer's biggest
headache regarding the club is a great deal more positive, yet still troublesome.
The problem in question is that of deciding who, out of all of the fantastic players the club
employs, gets the nod in the first team in the Premier League, the Europa League, and possibly even
the FA Cup, if Harry decides to give it a real go.

A few photos of Man City being put through their paces ahead of their first-ever Champions
League tie against Napoli at the Etihad tomorrow evening a session that saw Owen Hargreaves
pottering about with a full compliment of functioning legs and 75-year old Aldo Mancini (who
suffered a heart attack last summer) turn out to watch his boy Bobby in action.

The Met have confirmed that six men are being held in police custody today after a 44-year old
Wales fan died in hospital after being attacked outside Wembley following England's 1-0 win last
night.
The Police have also identified that the six men being held are all Wales supporters and that
the victim, a Cardiff fan domestically, was assaulted due to his club loyalties while, presumably,
all seven men were sporting the red of the land of their fathers.
When it was discovered today that Bobby Rhine passed unexpectedly of a heart attack, it hit the
greater MLS community fairly hard. Rhine had played 10 years with Dallas and just recently entered
the broadcasting field as a rapidly rising star. Fans in Dallas are holding a memorial this
evening. His family is asking for donations made in his name to the FC Dallas foundation.
It has been a dark day here in Dallas. The news came down to me early this morning that former
FC Dallas midfielder and current team broadcaster Bobby Rhine had passed away due to a heart
attack. Rhine was at the beach with this family when he passed away.
I shared my thoughts on Rhine over at SBNation.

Bobby Rhine, former FC Dallas player front-office figure and broadcaster, passed away Monday
evening of a heart attack at age 35.
Known as a hardworking, geniune and caring individual to those who worked with him or played
against him, Rhine's passing at such a young age has stunned the U.
Just heard on World Football Daily that Bobby Rhine, former FC Dallas player, face of that
franchise, TV commentator, Around the League contributor and all-around good guy has died of a
sudden heart attack while vacationing with his family. He was 35 and leaves his wife and two
daughters.
Former FC Dallas player and current broadcaster Bobby Rhine passed away last night after suffering
a heart attack at the age of 35. He played over 200 games for the MLS team over his 10-year career,
and moved into the front office and later match commentary post-playing career. I heard his

It has been confirmed that former MLS Dallas standout and current team broadcaster Bobby Rhine
has passed from an apparent heart attack.
A friend of TSG and huge figure in US Soccer.
Our condolences.
Tragic news out of Japan as Naoki Matsuda succumbs two days later after suffering a suspected
heart attack. Matsuda was just 34 years. He collapsed on the pitch during a routine warm up at
current club Matsumoto Yamaga and rushed to the hospital where he was put on artificial life
support systems but never gained consciousness.

Bit of terribly sad news to start the morning in that Naoki Matsuda, one of the stars of Japan's
2002 World Cup run and a veteran of 40 international caps, has died today after suffering a
heart-attack and collapsing just 15 minutes into a training session with his club, Matsumoto
Yamaga, two days ago.

Quite recently, over one or seven pints, a very salient point was made by my father who is also
a Tottenham fan and it's one that a large proportion of Spurs supporters have been doing a good job
of ignoring (I include myself in that group for the record).
I've had to paraphrase as the old man is a bit more definitive/sweary in his opinions, but it
goes a little something like this provided Spurs achieve a respectable league finish, say 7th or
above, Harry Redknapp looks very likely to be the next England manager after Euro 2012.
The wrestling world is in shock after confirmation that 58 year old Macho Man Randy

out drink driving but believe he may have suffered a heart attack.
Another day, another dead sports celebrity. Macho Man Randy Savage is the latest death. The

wife was in the car but she only suffered minor injuries. Macho Man Randy Savage was only 58 years
old.

Watching Tractor Traylor play basketball was always a joy. Yeah, Tractor Traylor was fat. But
that didn't stop him from starring at Michigan. His unique combination of size, nimbleness and
skill made him a fan favorite and made NBA decision makers dream. Although his NBA career never
panned out, he was loved everywhere he played.

This Week in Soccer History: 1976 - Ace comes for the Kicks
On April 26, 1976, the Minnesota Kicks signed South African great Patrick "Ace" Ntsoelengoe for
their inaugural season. During that season, Ace went on to score five goals in his first five games
and became an instant fan favorite for amazing footwork on the field and his shockingly shy
personality off of it.
I was going to write a piece having a pop at the little fat nazi fucking heart attack patient in
waiting, who was dressed up as a referee at St James' Park yesterday... but then I thought
otherwise. Nothing new happened, nothing surprised me... come on Gooners, comrades... brothers
and sisters in arms.

The momentum is back in this Chelsea side after success in the league against Bolton and
Sunderland. Results seem to be mostly in our favor this weekend so far, with Manchester United
dropping three points and Arsenal managing to boggle minds by dropping a 4-goal lead. The media and
football fans are abuzz particularly with our new signing Torres available to play against
Liverpool.
It will not really take a genius to figure out when the transformation from high-flying
one-of-the-most-famous-clubs to genuine mid-table candidates began. Different people (and experts)
will point fingers at different things, at different points in time. I would like to hold my
judgment because this is not what the post is about.
