Ok I cannot help but be biased about this game. My heart is still beating like a drum 10mins after
full-time. Let's face it, this is a one sided game. The scoreline will not reflect it as a game of
football. Coming into the match, I had no idea which Wigan side would appear. Would [...]

As if you didn't know that already. But Toronto FC fans, with all the recrimination, regret, sorrow
and the like, should take heart that Real Salt Lake are in the final. Toronto FC finished the
season on 39 points, RSL 40. On the ever important last two fixtures of the season, TFC went out
winning at home, then losing away.

Phil Neville may pull on a blue shirt when he steps out for Everton but the former United
utility man is still a red at heart. Neville is currently back in training following nine weeks out
with a knee injury but it looks unlikely he will recover in time for Everton's visit to Old
Trafford this weekend.

This week's Shit Shot Mungo sees the financial crisis at Heart of Clackmannanshire deepen still
further, as the £30 fine imposed by the authorities for playing a match when their entire squad
knowingly had swine flu proves to be the final nail in their coffin. The club is forced to put all
of its players on part-time wages, but one man (who has been earning £190,000 per week for as long
as anyone can remember) may be able to save the day.

There are only a handful of home games left. Currently sitting equal bottom means they are all must
win for Brisbane. Not just for this season but for the future of the club. I am sure it will
continue next year. But in what form is unclear. With much of the squad coming off contract and
Melbourne Heart targeting players like Luke Devere, anything is possible for next year.

Rafa Benitez today revealed that he originally bought Robbie Keane to be the linkman between Gareth
Barry and Fernando Torres. But when he failed to sign Barry, Robbie Keane was quickly sold "as
collateral damage".That clears that one up then. I thought Keane was sold because Benitez didn't
fancy him as a player.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus are among the European giants set to battle for
the signature of Palermo defender Simon Kjaer next summer.
The 20-year-old centre-back has established himself as one of the most promising young stoppers in
Serie A and is likely to be at the heart of Denmark's defence at the 2010 World Cup finals next
summer.

It's ironically that since that 3-1 defeat to Thailand on Saturday, this blog recorded its biggest
viewership since its establishment as it surpassed the previous record set on 20th May 2009.
So as a basic courtesy, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all those folks who had flocked in
over the past few days that made it possible to this new record.

There are no two ways about it: David N'gog deliberately deceived the referee to win a penalty.
There was no contact, no hint of a foul and no reason to go down. It was cheating, pure and simple.
I don't blame N'gog though; I blame (a)pathetic Liverpool fans who are happy to condone cheating if
it gains the team an advantage.

Misfiring striker Andriy Voronin has told of his determination to help Liverpool get this season
back on track. Does he have anything to offer or is he a lost cause?
The Ukraine striker has yet to find the back of the net in eight games this season, and to be fair,
hasn't even looked remotely like scoring.

So, a two hour press conference was held by Thanopoulos today. Reporters said it was very
sincere, "straight from the heart" kind of stuff. Clearly not saying what he is being told to say
but rather what is true.
So, progress should be made soon with regards to Kozonis. A paper should be signed this weekend
stating both sides are intending to go through with the deal (or something along those lines) and
if all goes well (no arguments or hidden debts suddenly showing up) the transition will occur
December 31st.

If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home.

Yes, I am aware Daniel Agger is not even a left-back but it just shows how
badly Insua has been playing. The Reds had their share of problems this season but one of the
biggest reasons behind the disappointing results is the fact defence is leaking too many goals.
Johnson, Carragher and Skrtel are doing really well when they are fully fit, thus
I am positive the back line would be much more stable with Agger replacing completely unconvincing
Insua.

So, one point from a game where it won't really do much to help us. In reality though, we could
have come away with all three points had we managed to score one more of our chances, or had Saja
not made a terrible mistake that the goalkeeper on my own amateur team would likely avoid.
Well, AEKBaltimore will watch the match on TV soon, since I believe he recorded it, and I'm not
sure if AEKMAN74 watched as well.

This week's Mungo is brought to you by Ted "The Neck" Carter (who, if you were

ago, in case you were wondering he's okay now, but he's not allowed to go on rollercoasters any
more), and is available in a higher resolution here.

Is it only me or is the whole world against us?
Firstly, we have a list of injured players longer than my telephone bill. Then, Rafa has to be
contented with playing so-so players because of some friggin owners would not cough up the funds
needed for us to be real contenders for the PL. Then we have a game in which we dominate play for
such a long period and the bar stops the ball and the only time Pepe touches the ball is to collect
it from his net.
