Though the worst fears over his health and career have passed, it is highly unlikely (to put it
mildly) that
Charlie Davies will be match fit in time for the 2010 World Cup. So
who to replace him?

When I look for a hoodie, I look for two main things, comfort and style. They may seem rather
straight-forward, but it is hard to find a hoodie that fits both categories for you. The Inter
Milan graphic hoodie fits both categories spot on with a fabulous design, while letting you support
Italy's current champions, Inter Milan.

As in the guys that aren't Mr Kasey Keller. Due to injuries Keller played essentially all
competitive matches. Next year with the potential for a dozen more matches in the season and Kasey
passing 40 in just a few days the back-up keeper will be much more important. While he does feel
healthier at the end of this season than in the past, he made many statements that it was due to
the nature of MLS playing basically once a week.

Frank Lampard, one of the standout thigh-masters of our generation, has been injured.
Where?
No, not the groin, which is the current 'baller injury trend de jour. He's done in a thigh. But,
really, wasn't this only a matter of time?

This may seem like an odd departure during the Playoffs, but if the team does it why shouldn't
we. Coach Schmid found a way to get his Reserves and Subs more playing time by getting together
with the Seattle Wolves. He did this even while his senior side is smarting from the nil-nil
draw.
Coach on why they played a Reserve match today
"It was important for the guys who haven't been playing as much to get a solid 60 [minutes]

Rio Ferdinand's agent Pini Zahavi has revealed to Soccernet that his client is not
struggling for form but instead struggling for health. The English international has been suffering
from a calf injury that has yet to heal 100%, and Rio's club and international form has gone with
it.
"All the speculation about Rio's ability is totally incorrect.

Just several random things going on today, none of which really deserve their own post, so I
figured I would just dump them in here together.
First, Lukasz Fabianski, who many were predicting would become Arsenal's # 1 goalkeeper when he
returned to health, hurt his thigh in last night's Carling Cup fixture and will be out until after
the international break in November.

By design soccer is an activity that promotes health and fitness. The amount of exercise performed
at practice and the emphasis on proper diet directly affects players' fitness and promotes a
lifestyle that influences health well into adulthood. A recent study now suggests that
participation in youth sports may have other, unanticipated effects that may lead to an overall
healthy lifestyle.

Well, it's Arsenal, so for every player that comes back from injury, another player has to get
hurt. Just when it looks like we might have a full squad again, with Rosicky, Walcott, and Arshavin
returning to health, a couple more players get hurt.
First, and most seriously, Denilson is apparently out two months with a "small" fracture in his
back.

Looks like it's happening for Spurs and Bassong. Here are a few quick thoughts.Â
1) Nice move for Spurs as they need a young, healthy, high quality centre back with upside.Â
2) You have to wonder why Arsenal wasn't interested at this price - throwing an additional £16M
for Bassong and Chamakh seems like a reasonable use of their K2 & Toure money.

I wanted to share my thoughts on some issues I feel are important to the growth and health of the
team. Sorry if this offends anyone because, as always, it is never my intent. I just call it the
way I see it.
The first is that no person or position is set in stone or
safe. If you play ODP or not, it
doesn't matter.

(obvious) and had post-impact amnesia for about 15 minutes after the collision (not as obvious).

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. As was covered in the comments, we came away with a
disappointing 2-2 draw with Barnet in Saturday's friendly. While we shouldn't ever really come away
with anything less than a win against a League 2 side, this was a friendly very early in the
preseason which didn't feature our first team.

Part two in my silly season series. Remember, these are players who are perhaps not
realistically available to Fulham, but who could conceivably end up here if a few strange things
happen. We may not want them, and these are absolutely not my recommended signings (I fully
expect Roy to turn up with players who are much better value for money) but they are players who I
think could be big assets and (as importantly) who I feel like writing about.

Is Roy Keane smirking right now? Is he rolling his eyes? Both?
For two years Sunderland was Roy Keane's baby. He took the struggling side, nurtured it back to
health and delivered it from the relegation zone of the Championship and back to the top flight. In
every transfer window he made moves to improve the squad.

I've been going over and over in my head about what I should write about this but there really
isn't much to say. We're still the best in England. I really don't see the point in going into
depth because it's all rudimentary at this stage. So I'm simply going to say that I'm delighted. I
watched yesterday's game with three of my brothers and it was all quite muted (much like Old
Trafford) until injury-time.
