On Twitter, we joked that Liverpool's Luis Suarez would have some interesting headlines to read as he tucks into his All-Bran(islav) tomorrow morning. The talented @FeintZebra has kindly turned the Uruguayan's favourite fictional cereal into reality. See Suarez biting Branislav Ivanovic here.
Radio Cuju is back with plenty to discuss. Sir Alex Ferguson sounds off on Luis Saurez,
Portsmouth is on the verge of collapse and there were flag issues on the opening day of the
Olympics. We also have an e-mail from a real listener, headlines and a question of the week.
"You just wouldn't let it lie would you? You just wouldn't let it lie..."
Yep, this crap again. Why the embers are being raked over again we're not entirely certain but
days after Luis Suarez appeared on Uruguayan television to whittle about his eight-game
ban and Manchester United's 'political influence' in England and such like, Sir Alex
Ferguson has piped up to tell all and sundry that he believes the way Kenny Dalglish handled the
whole dismal Suarez-Evra furor ultimately cost him his job at Liverpool.
Portsmouth fans scarcely needed a reminder of their fall from grace this week, what with their club hitting the headlines for charging their opponents to park the team bus. But just to really rub it in, two of their former players were on the scoresheet at AC Milan defeated Barcelona 2-0 at the San Siro [.
We continue our series of archived matches of the clubs of the Football League Championship this
morning with six matches from the history of a club that has been generating a large number of
headlines over the last few weeks, Cardiff City. Cardiffs position in the Football world as a Welsh
club playing in the English league system is not unique but for many years it did allow them a
route into European football through the Welsh Cup and our first two matches come from that
competition.
The song is a haunting elegy to child abuse, a very serious matter. But a different Luka is
hogging the football world's headlines at present and he's none too happy either. So here is the
re-worded song.
"Luka"
My name is Luka
I work at White Hart Lane
I am on the TV a lot
Yes I think you've seen me before
If you hear something
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
I think it's all because of Levy
I try not to talk too loud
Maybe it's because they need me
I try not to act too proud
They want to keep me till I die
After that, you don't ask why
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore
You just don't argue anymore
Yes I think it's going to be Real
I was ready to walk out last year
Well, if you insist this is what I'll say
40mil for me is chicken feed, hombre
But Levy, all you do is bitch and moan
With nothing gained, nothing thrown
Just don't ask me how I am [X3]
My name is Luka
I work at White Hart Lane
I am on TV a lot
Yes I think you've seen me before
If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
Just don't ask me what it was
And they want to keep me till I die
After that, you don't ask why
You just don't argue anymore
Fulham boss Martin Jol has mocked Arsenal's chances at winning, questioning if they can even be expected to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea. Jol pointed out Arsenal's seven trophyless years, and pointed to their budgetary deficiencies.
"Of course, it's probably not what an Arsenal fan wants," said Jol.
We all know that there is not a lot of news about during the extremely annoying international
break, but some of the headlines have certainly made me laugh. The best one in my eyes was the one
that said: "Chamakh Not Suffering From Malaria" and I couldn't help having a giggle. Why stop
there? What [.
many headlines this morning regarding PHW's interview in the Standard screaming 'WE CAN'T
COMPETE', which really doesn't tell the full story. We can't compete in some respects, we know
that, and that's what the Chairman said.
"At a certain level, we can't compete"
And he's talking about the clubs whose resources are endless.

Arsenal has finally confirmed the signing of Santi Cazorla, the talented Spanish midfielder who
will be a "huge asset" to Arsenal, according to Arsene Wenger. There are plenty of Premier
League-related stories today. Here are the latest headlines:...
Ducky's Note: Keeping with out string of really random posts form here and then here,
Bhavin throws in his hat into the fray with a prediction of the news items that
will make headlines next season. As a Roma (yes!) and Arsenal fan, Bhavin is that guy who became a
goalie for his college team cos he sucked as an outfield player.
Muang Thong United had Robbie Fowler. Thailand had Bryan Robson. Now BEC Tero have appointed Sven
Goran Eriksson as 'Technical Director'.
In footballing terms this is a nothing appointment. Yes, it will get a few headlines but it is not
going to bring any benefit to the football club. These appointments rarely do.

I am not very sure how many of you out there would go "ga-ga" whenever it was quoted in the papers
that a particular "who and who" is "keen to play" on our shores and "hope to lift the profile of
the league (not just the club he speculate to join)" because of his participation.
I wouldn't be such of those "ga-ga" or "blink-blink" keen to see those "who and who" come over to
play in the S.
The long, drawn-out saga surrounding Clint Dempsey's club future has finally come to an end, and
it has ended with his long-sought move to a bigger club than Fulham.
Dempsey has completed a transfer deadline day move to Tottenham, FOX Soccer is reporting. No
details yet on the transfer fee, but Dempsey arrived at Spurs Lodge on Friday afternoon to undergo
his medical and has now completed the move.
While Luka Modric will doubtless dominate the headlines for the next day or so, further reports
have linked Spurs with a successor. However, with just four days to go before the transfer window
closes, could it be a story of a succession of failed bids on September 1st?
Nicks' note:Forgive us, but this is dire. Sample
has scattered his pearls of journalistic wisdom, and all of the other hacks at our office have
chipped in with one or two counterfeit stones as well. Read along.

Exclusive! Terms of the Song deal revealed: There's an unprecedented 'hairstyle clause'
inserted in the contract, which gives Arsenal a £50,000 windfall every time Song decides to wear a

Tottenham's young strikers have shone during Spurs XI games in pre-season and after Souleymane
Coulibaly grabbed our headlines last weekend, Harry Kane proved last night that he still possesses
a great deal of potential.
Whether either of those players can build on that potential to forge a career at Spurs remains
to be seen but both featured heavily in our 6-0 win over Southend United yesterday.
Spurs drew their opening game of the current US tour against a strong LA Galaxy side after
Gareth Bale turned in a Gylfi Sigurddson cross to put his side ahead.
A first half equaliser levelled the scores but the headlines focussed on injury news after the
match. Bale himself was the main focus after withdrawing from the Team GB Olympic squad but he
played for most of the 90 minutes here.
The majority of Tottenham's first team squad took to the field for the first time last night as
a strong side finally defeated a battling Stevenage outfit. Both goals came in the second half from
Gylfi Sigurdsson and Yago Falque but it was the Icelander's striker which seemed to grab the
headlines.
The Croatian International & TOTTENHAM HOTSPURS midfielder LUKA MODRIC is "stealing" the headlines
of most of the Spanish Sports newspapers & other media channels. The news coming in is that REAL
MADRID & the player have total agreement in joining this season & playing in LA LIGA. The Spanish
Football Club is currently dealing & negotiating with SPURS to shut the deal which is rumoured
around 40M€
In amongst the relentless stories over the manager which naturally dominate the headlines, it's
refreshing to see a bit of transfer talk even if it seems an unlikely one. Burak Yilmaz is the name
of the latest link and while his record stems entirely from Turkish football, it is an impressive
record nevertheless.
Ever since the stories concerning Laurent Blanc have hit the headlines, the French press have
been having their say and all seem to suggest that their coach is signing a new contract with
France.
This is what Xavier Rivoire had to say on Talksport.
"Laurent Blanc will not go to Spurs, read my lips.
With Euro 2012 rolling along, we're back to discuss the flash point outside the Russia v
Poland match and the fallout from it. Ginge is tortured by the real possibility that David Moyes
might be taking over at Spurs, plus we discuss USMNT World Cup qualifiers and MLS All Star Game
(what? yeah, you'll see).
Radio Cuju is back with some quality headlines that hopefully you'll enjoy as much as we did. We
break down the first weekend of EPL action, try to determine if the La Liga season is already over
and offer our thoughts on the USMNT's big win in Mexico. We also discuss a Mexican White Witch.

I may be speaking out of turn here and I apologise to be people if I am, but to me the game
yesterday wasn't great was it. Don't get me wrong it was a good start to the campaign with three
points but apart from a couple of glimpses of magic, Chelsea could have been better overall.
Wigan are a hard working side and caused us plenty of problems.
While most of the local press has its headlines occupied with the SPANISH FOOTBALL TEAM after their
Euro 4-0 victory over Ireland, the following piece sneaks into the Sports news content & from
England According to English newspaper, "Daily Mail", Premier League Club LIVERPOOL has its eye on
one of FC BARCELONA "revelations" of last season, CRISTIAN TELLO.
With The London Olympics hogging the limelight and making all the headlines, Premier League
football is taking an usual and unfamiliar berth at the back of peoples minds right now, but
there's a mere two-and-a-bit weeks to go until United kick their glory hunting season of 2012/13
off with the aim of wrestling the title [.
On Saturday, the US Women clinched a quarterfinal spot after only two games with a 3-0 win over
Colombia. Megan Rapinoe scored first for the US in the 33rd minute, and then the headlines were
written six minutes later when Lady Andrade of Colombia, frustrated at the aggressive play by the
much stronger US women, punched Abby Wambach in the face.

Oh boy, was I wrong yesterday, predicting scoring wouldn't be a problem for Oranje... Ahead of this
tournament all the Dutch people focused on the problems with our back four. The defensive troubles
made headlines in all the papers and was a returning subject on all the sports programmes. With all
this in mind, you can image the Dutch are pretty confused after the 0-1 loss against Denmark.

A crowd of 329 people turned out at Treyew Road yesterday afternoon to see Truro City beat
Boreham Wood by two goals to nil in the Blue Square Bet South, but it seems unlikely that events on
the pitch made for too much of the discussion amongst the clubs supporters. As has seemed to
frequently been the case over the last year or so, goings-on in the boardroom have been hogging the
headlines at this particular club, with Fridays announcement that it is to enter into
administration throwing the future of Cornwalls most successful non-league club into doubt.
As the first team squad travelled to the US over the weekend, there was only one story
dominating the headlines. The key player left behind was Luka Modric who has now incurred fines of
£160,000 – one for failing to turn up for training and the other for refusing to travel with the
rest of the squad.
