*Provided you're not a Bayern fan. Or Angela Merkel. Let's sift through Chelsea's rude guest
European championship triumph that knocked Brad Friedel to the Europa League (rabidly unfairly, I
say) and shoved Sacha Kljestan's Anderlecht out of the 2012/13 Champions League group phase. szólj

It's easy to see why Radamel Falcao is a Chelsea target. He can score at will unlike all the
huffing and puffing that goes on in that English club at present.
Falcao rock me I'm a deuce gave Atletico a very early lead at the Vicente Calderon as he headed
in a set piece for his 22nd goal in 23 Europa Cup appearances, the top goalscorer.
Salomon Kalou turns Fernando Torres's measured cross into goal in the 75th minute. David Luiz
did not go nuts in front of his former club. He actually did well.
Roberto De Matteo kept Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, and Michael Essien on the bench.
Bayern crushed Hoffenheim, 7-1 this weekend with Mario Gomez scoring a hat trick. This time he
went one better against Basel in the Champions League second leg as Bayern knocked in seven
unanswered goals at the Allianz Arena.
The Arena is the venue for this years Champions League final.
A long, long time ago, in a distant planet called Anfield, goals were plentiful. Today, those
times returned in the Merseyside derby as Steven Gerrard perhaps fittingly as club talisman scored
a hat trick to stop Everton's recent momentum and create some for his side.

Sam Allardyce admits he would welcome the opportunity to bring Andy Carroll to West Ham United, but
concedes any move will depend on the player.
With Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers having hinted that he may be prepared to send Carroll out on
loan, speculation regarding where he will be playing in 2012/13 has kicked into overdrive.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers claims reports linking Andy Carroll with AC Milan are wide of the
mark, with the Italian outfit having made no contact.
It has been claimed that the Serie A giants are keen to strike a loan deal for the England
international after being impressed by his displays at Euro 2012.
This is just utterly fantastic and should happen more, but not so often that its effect is
diluted. Simply put, Germany's Sky Sport (HD, which matters) showed up at an amateur match and
produced it as though it were a major Bundesliga fixture. Complete with uber-dramatic soundtrack,
expensive suits, ball pedestal and attractive sideline reporter.
Image: Twitter. H/T @Gay4Soccer. Let us quickly state for the record, although we enjoy seeing the
events that unfolded after yesterday's Open Cup final, we are rather shocked by the fugliness of
the winners' undergarments. Usually we look forward to locker room celebrations (i.e. see April
2011) with glee and HD anticipation.
You might remember Wieden + Kennedy from those Nike World Cup 2010 adverts, or, you know,
television in general. They're back at it again for the Euros ahead of the Euros, but with a
distinctly global flavor.
The only thing to say would be this: it's brilliant and it's best enjoyed in HD, full screen and
before the final cut if you're a heterosexual gent, because no, not really hungry for more
Cristiano in a belly shirt, thanks much.
EXCLUSIVE: Al Jazeera Sports Network has won the US TV rights to La Liga,
beginning with the 2012-13 season, according to a source.
The shocking news means that GolTV's flagship league will no longer be shown on the Miami-based
network. Al Jazeera Sports Network's acquisition of La Liga rights comes hot on the heels of
similar acquisitions by Al Jazeera Sports Network worldwide including winning the bid to show Ligue
1 in France from 2012-13 through 2018-18, as well as the rights to show UEFA Champions League in
France from 2012-2015.
This is either the most deserved injury ever or perhaps a bit of ill-advised injury to insult on
the part of the referee.
The gentleman in question is injured on a play in the box, and given that it's the Belgian
amateurs, high quality HD video isn't of prime concern, thus we're left wondering what exactly
happened.
