Are Russell Brand and Katy Perry getting a divorce? That's the latest rumor in the entertainment
industry, at least. And there was just some gasoline thrown on those flames when Russell Brand was
pictured without a wedding ring while in London.
Where is Katy Perry? She's in Hawaii.
Hmmm, interesting.
If the blog of the Philippine Football Federation treasurer is to be believed the Galaxy's
post-season trip to Australia might be turning into LA's "Last Call for David Beckham" Tour*. PFF
executive bean-counter Bonnie Ladrido, erm, spilled the beans last night by mentioning on his blog
that LA Galaxy president Tom Payne will be in Manilla next week to tour facilities and all that
other executive-type stuff.
This trailer for The 90th Minute intrigues me. I hear it's only a short film --20 minutes or so--
but as WPS is an area that I know precious little about I'm curious to see what it's like from a
player's perspective. And the fact that it includes a player who was with a team that won a
championship and was then dissolved makes it all the more interesting.

Footballs in space? Looks like they've finally located Elano's penalty from the other day.
Anyway, something a little out of the ordinary here on Pies, this 'ere is the 'Soccerball'
nebula that was recently discovered by an amateur astronomer by the name Matthias Kronberger with
the help of the Gemini Observatory in Hawaii.
The Colorado Rapids are in the middle of the MLS season, but they are already making plans for a
postseason trip to the islands.
The Rapids announced today that the team will participate in the first annual Hawaiian Islands
Invitational, a four-team international tournament taking place in February.
As we do every few weeks, we take a look at the promotions and marketing efforts MLS teams are
using to sell seats for the upcoming matches. We'll start in Houston, where the Dynamo are offering
a creatively marketed Hawaii 2-5 Package. The $99 deal includes 2 tickets to the May 21 match
against the Red Bulls at Robertson Stadium and entrance to a pre-game tailgate.
By now you've undoubtedly heard about, read about or seen footage about the devastation that has
occurred in Japan and also hit Hawaii. The natural disaster has hit home with the Philadelphia
Union, as midfield Kyle Nakazawa has friends and family in both Japan and Hawaii and has asked
Union fans to pray for those he is close to.
While I've been fairly vocal on the idea of getting rid of the SuperLiga tournament, one other
tournament involving MLS clubs could be back on the menu for 2012. The Pan-Pacific tournament could
be kick started again for 2012 if ESPN, MLS and other Asian leagues all get back on board with
it.
