First 20 minutes the Thais showed why they are best side in ASEAN as their slick passing and
intelligent moving tore the Singapore rearguard to shreds.
Prompted by the impressive Datsakorn Thonglao at the heart of the midfield the Thais spread the
play and often had the Singaporeans chasing shadows.

Quarter final first legs tonight. Favourites Selangor take on Terengganu at the Shah Alam Stadium

minutes watching the team known as the Turtles beat Johor 4-2 earlier in the month. Their assistant
coach Mohamad Nik is warning them against losing concentration.

12 goals AND penalties decided this game between Haaglandia/Winston and Excelsior Rotterdam in the
KNVB Beker Tuesday.
This game was 2-2 at the half and then home side Haaglandia/Winston, went up 5-2, but anyone who
thought it would be over at that point was wrong.
Very, very, amazingly wrong.

"Freedom isn't free
It costs folks like you and me
And if we don't all chip in
We'll never pay that bill"So I'm sure most of you know by now that Steven Cohen has shut down World Soccer Daily. On Friday's
edition of WSD, the broadcaster revealed that his decision was made after some random nutter(s)
contacted his stepchildren (via Twitter) and friends.

(This is a long one, gang. Say I warned you not, do not.)
A few weeks ago, I said that Steven Cohen's claims of intimidation were completely frivolous and
fanciful. I said he was only making those claims in order to engender sympathy from the misinformed
and/or gullible. I said if there really were this kind of threats, anything resembling this kind of
horrible behavior, it would be a matter for law enforcement.

Maikel FAIL Maikel FAIL
Ah, so this is why Maikel plays for Szombathelyi Haladas in Hungary, rather than a club that more
than 37 people have heard of. Because not all Brazilians can be amazingly good at football.
Maikel's hilarious miss, which must rank as one the worst pens I've ever seen, happened during
Arsenal's pre-season friendly against Haladas earlier this week.

Poor married Malaysian man.
He came home late from a once-in-a-lifetime friendly match between Manchester United and a
Malaysian XI. His punishment: getting stabbed twice in the chest by his wife.
The man had promised to come back immediately after the match in Kuala Lumpur on
Saturday evening, but his wife was "very angry'' when he returned after midnight, district police
chief Abdul Jalil Hassan said Tuesday.

Lessons learned from the Confed Cup:
1) Spain are better than everyone else combined. I say that even though they struggled to put away
a disciplined Iraq side yesterday.
2) Giuseppe Rossi is what Twitter calls a "trending topic". I can't believe how many comments the
Judas T-shirt post received, not to mention my take on the US's galling defeat to Italy.

Brann 2 - 0 Molde
Highlights
There is something profoundly annoying about Brann. Probably because we're told by the media
that their fans are among the best in the country while actually they're a fickle bunch who only
sing when they're winning. Probably because saying the club is run like a circus would be an insult
to circuses.

The annual May 16th round of the Tippeliga attracts big crowds of people ready for a party, as
people look to kick off the May 17th constitutional day celebrations a few hours early.
No place typifies the May 16th phenomenon like Brann Stadion. Now Brann-fans
are a fickle bunch, but when they're all out and up for it there are few grounds in the Tippeliga
that generates a better atmosphere, and May 16th is usually one of those occasions.

Steven Cohen, co-host of the World Soccer Daily radio show, has been at it again.
While the rest of the world last week was paying tribute to the 20th anniversary of the

take responsibility for Hillsborough as well as claiming that if 6,000-8,000 ticketless fans had
not shown up, the Hillsborough Disaster would never have happened.
