If you are reading this, it means the world hasn't ended since this post was programmed to be
released at 12:00 PM CST today. I suppose it also means that your Internet connection is working
and many other things but at this very moment the most important thing is tickets for the U.S. Open
Cup Semi-Final match against the Richmond Kickers on August 30th, 2011 at 7:30 PM CST are now on
sale.

I've been mulling over ideas for a piece on this run of clásicos since just before the Copa del
Rey final. Well, in no small part because having this many matches between Barcelona and Real
Madrid this close together is affecting my mind in extreme ways.
The way Barcelona plays when it is one of their best days, is just like Harlem dream basketball
team in the late 1970s. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta did big show of magic while Arsenal joined the
crowd and preferred to enjoy the show, rather than to disrupt it.
The first goal explained it all: attack with quick passes to penetrate from the middle, a lot of
pressing by the midfield and extra-ordinary day for Messi.
Whatever Cesc Fabregas did or didn't say in the tunnel at half time during the Everton game,
David Moyes's comments on the issue are pathetic.
Clearly he wanted to distract attention away from his team's latest defeat and their lowly position
(15th) in the EPL.
Apart from insisting that Cesc should have been given a red card for what he allegedly said in
the tunnel, Moyes also claimed that any fair minded observer would have felt his team deserved to
come away with something from Tuesday's game.
