As we told you earlier this week, the München Men have been biding their time
at a training camp in Doha. Bastian Schweinsteiger recovered well enough from
his shoulder operation (which quite honestly, left a sexy scar!) to play in their win over
Al-Sailiya last night.
Good Afternoon! It's a Spring-like Tuesday, December 22nd and Birthday mania continues here at The
Viper's Nest. This time, we're celebrating the birthday of RBNY's #1 supporter, the one and only
You Suck Corrales. Sure, we had a YSC birthday get-together a few weeks back, but today is the
actual date - so I'm all for celebrating the great man again.
It came and it went by with little attention. AC Milan turned 112 years old on December 16. I for
one, am guilty of not showing attention. But, it is only four days late, and better late than never
eh? So Happy Birthday AC Milan and special thanks to our writer, Francesco Barbati, who sent [...]

Anfield Match Zone: Happy birthday for Roberto Mancini
Judging from the way he breezed into Anfield's press room, the 47th birthday celebrations of
Manchester City's manager had not been ruined.

Happy Birthday to one of our
'Neymarlitas' Bekie & Happy Neymar
November to you! This month, we'll be giving out some limited-edition

A funny story has emerged today concerning Real Madrid's failed bid for

Having been raised on Football Italia, I couldn't let today pass without a doff of the cap to
one of my all time favourites, Alessandro Del Piero, who turned 37 today.
Happy Birthday Pinturicchio, you old dog...
Football as art.
November 3, 1945 Gerd Muller was born.
Of all the football careers you could dream of having as a kid, they don't come much more
complete than Gerd Muller's.
He won the World Cup and European Championships with Germany scoring in the final of both
tournaments - as well as lifting the European Cup on three consecutive occasions with Bayern
Munich.
Of all the moments in the surreal, simultaneously compelling and slightly sickening Manchester
City vs. Manchester United game today, there is one that will probably stay rooted in our
imaginations for at least a little while: Balotelli's cheeky question: "Why Always Me?" after his
first goal. Like the most conversation-worthy and striking moments in football, this one is
fascinating because it seems at once funny and irritating, appropriate and trangressive.
Arsene Wenger may rest Robin van Persie for the Premier League clash at the Emirates against
Stoke tomorrow.
The Daily Mail this morning claims that even if AW decides to play the skipper it is only a
matter of time before he is benched. The papwewr reports that Van Persie is in the midst of an
amazing goal-scoring streak after hitting 27 goals in 35 games.
Greg's back to wish Mickey and Wayne Rooney 'Happy Birthday; to welcome the return of Sandro, the
return to scoring form of Defoe and Luka and the revival of the ancient Spurs tradition of passing

It's all here folks: read and enjoy.
For absolutely no reason a post marking John Clark's 47th birthday.
Actually not no reason: That today is his birthday was the first tweet I read this morning. Then
someone else mentioned him in a reply to a tweet of mine about Gordon Rae (children, ask your
fathers). And a week or so ago I was speaking to his cousin after a funeral in Port Seton.
Happy Birthday LFC TV
LFC TV today celebrated its fourth birthday as new viewing figures confirmed that more fans than

Amobi Okugo didn't make his way into the ridiculous night that was yesterday's 4-4 draw between
the Philadelphia Union and the New England Revolution, but he did have a job to do.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder sung "Happy Birthday" to a fan at last night's game, after
losing a Twitter bet.
Well, that was some day yesterday, eh? I think it'd be best to break it down into its various
parts before we take a look at the game against Udinese tonight.

He's gone. Signed for Barcelona with a buy-out clause of a bazillion-gillion euros and he did
some keepy-ups before saying nice things about us and the manager.

Got this through today :
The NHS celebrates its 63rd birthday this week, with public satisfaction at an all-time high.
But the coalition government's proposals will put everyone at risk. Including you.
Don't be fooled. Even after "listening", the government's legislation would let private
companies grab any part of the NHS, putting profits before patients.
A very Happy Birthday to Paolo Maldini. Much has been written about his greatness by far more
illustrious writers than me, so i will not repeat what everybody knows. Instead, enjoy these really
nice videos of the Azzurri and Milan legend- [read more]
Today was Joe Amon's 17th birthday, which means ... ice cream!
The team sang Happy Birthday while Joe blew out the candle that was placed in a big bowl of ice
cream. He gave a speech that cited many, many reasons why he was excited to turn 17.
Then the team enjoyed chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream in celebration.
U.S. striker and highest active goal scorer Abby Wambach turned, according to her, 21 today! (We
think we might have to add 10 years to that, but not sure). So Happy Birthday to Abby and we're
hoping she can commemorate the day with a goal this weekend against Mexico. Anyone who assists to
Abby, that counts as your birthday present.
We asked Newcastle fans yesterday if they would like to wish Newcastle target Gervinho a happy
birthday. Gervinho - looks like Newcatsle fans want him on Tyneside It was the good idea of one of
our readers, Oleg G, who sent me Gervinho's Facebook address. And he sent me anther note a little
later yesterday [.
The U.S. WNT is back together for its final domestic game and game before leaving for the 2011
FIFA Women's World Cup. Yes, the tournament is so close, you can feel it. The team is training in
New Jersey in preparation for meeting Mexico this Sunday at Red Bull Arena (2 p.m. ET on ESPN2) and
had its first session yesterday afternoon in the sticky heat of the impending NJ summer.

On Saturday, Carlos Ruiz learned that he has been called up for the Guatemalan national team

Happy Birthday Dennis Bergkamp! The man crush I developed on you has led to a number of
heartbreaks in the last six years, but it'll always be worth it. How I wish you were still around
teaching our current crop the value of the badge you once sported so proudly.
Also (and how envious I am that he was born on the same day as god) Happy Birthday
Nickspinkboots!
When Saturday Comes is 25 this year, so let's all sing Happy Birthday. After three, with me. One,
two... Actually forget that, it'll take too long.
To celebrate the milestone, the magazine has been running a series of retrospectives exploring the
changes that have taken place during the period.
BigFourZa is proud to present its latest addition to the team Wonder Gunner Gurleen. As the
smarter ones amongst you might have already figured, she is a HUGE Arsenal fan (how huge you ask?
Well, whisper it, but she will even defend Denilson against the Mancs!!). However, if there is one
thing she is better at, it is clearly graphic designing.
Jack Jewsbury in Springfield, MO 2006
Happy belated birthday to Jack Jewsbury who turned 30 yesterday (Wednesday April 13th). Captain of
the Portland Timbers, he'll lead them onto the national stage tonight when they play their first
home game at the newly christened JELD-WEN Field. Chicago (1-1-1) comes into the game after a loss
at Seattle on Saturday.
Jon Kempin was celebrating his 18th birthday Friday. Kei Kamara wanted me to interview Kempin so he
could wish him Happy Birthday... I ended up with nearly as much whipped cream on me as Jon. Happy
Birthday Jon, I hope you had a great time on your birthday.Jon Kempin pulling down a shot in a

Oh Fernando.
You broke many-a-Kickette hearts (Liverpool Corps) when you left their fragrant shores for the
Roman Republic of Chelsea. You've generously allowed lazy hacks to put their feet up and post
stories about your failure to score since you arrived.
Ahem.
Ducky's Note: Yes, it's me, with a note again. But hey, if it's to introduce another
contributor to the growing BigFourZa family, then I'm glad to keep noting away to glory.

Didier Drogba, regarded as one of the best soccer players of this generation, celebrated his
birthday over the weekend. Why is that notable? Check out the pictures of Didier Drogba's birthday
cake below. The birthday cake features three naked women with the phrase: "Happy Birthday Diddy".
To make it even better, the birthday cake was served by a topless waitress.

In the past 106 years, our club has been through many ups and downs in a history that may not be
as full of trophies as some, but it is still a history I am very proud of.
Off The Ball never rests in its mission to scratch around the underbelly of professional
football to find the most bizarre, humorous and inexplicable stories. This week, Lionel Messi is
fined €2,500 for wishing mum happy birthday, German club St Pauli ban strippers from their
executive boxes, Real Madrid show their support for Jose Mourinho with fake banners and Mohamed
Diame slaughters "crappy" Wigan.

Barcelona jinkster Lionel Messi has been fined €2,500 (about £2,150) for wishing dear old
Mami Messi a happy birthday after scoring against Racing Santander last weekend.
The referee did not see fit to caution Messi for the celebration at the time but did, however,
mention the incident in his match report therefore meaning that the Argentinian forward had to be
put up in front of the Spanish football federation's disciplinary committee, who duly punished him
under article 91.
The Spanish Football Federation fined Lionel Messi between 2000 and 3000 euros for revealing a
t-shirt during a goal celebration that wished his mother a happy birthday. The referee did not
issue the world player of the year a yellow card, but noted this "crime" in his match report.
In today's Disneyball, communicating anything other than a marketing message or sales pitch is not

Lionel Messi is being fined between €2,000 ($2,736) and €3,000 ($4,105) and will also receive a
yellow card for wishing his mother a Happy Birthday. The Barcelona player celebrated his penalty
against Racing Santander by lifting his shirt up to reveal an undershirt with Feliz Cumpleaños
Mami written on it.

Premier League team news - ESPN SoccernetIn an effort to make something positive out of a negative,
I'm going to list myself as the first person on this list today. In doing so, I at least get an

birthday yesterday.
