We will have a better indication tonight if Arsenal has made a bid or in talks with Fulham over
their centre back Brede Hangeland.
Hangeland has been an Arsenal target since December, well a target as far as the newspapers and
cyberspace is concerned, yet Arsenal does not appear to have made an approach.

As the Austrian training camp draws to a close, Arsene and his staff have a better understanding
of where the squad needs to be strengthened in particular now the Adebayor has left and Toure is
virtually a Man City player too, whilst Eboue and Senderos are also looking at Arsenal exits.
If Arsene sold the remaining four players he would have £55 million to spend, but before people
go mad, he will not spend that sort of money.

So i wake up early this Saturday morning, tune into sky sports news hoping to hear some good
news how Chelsea might of lost or all the Scums players broke their legs on the way back from
wembley when i hear that Sunderland of all teams have signed Lorik Cana.
Lets take a step back now, the same Lorik Cana that alot of Arsenal fans are crying out for and
someone who would suit us perfectly and would have been the perfect addition for us!

Every fan looks anxiously at the transfer window and starts to wonder who we will sign, when

summer. We know from the rumblings around the dressing room, the stands and even in the board-room,
that a failure to win something this season will see top players leave next summer and Arsene's

This season has been an utter disappointment for Arsenal fans and Arsene Wenger
is determined not to let something similar happen next season, thus he has already started
searching for new signings that could finally help Arsenal mount a serious title
challenge. It is in defence that Gunners had the most problems this season, and no wonder that an
experienced defender is the first thing on Wenger's mind.

The papers are full of stories that Wenger is prepared to make a bid of £15 million for
Fulham's centre-back Brede Hangeland. The Danish centre-back has received rave reviews all season
and Arsenal have been linked with the 6ft 4 inch defender for some months.

Reports suggest that the Gunners are ready to step up and make an offer for Fulham's Brede
Hangeland. Hangeland, who had his real breakthrough this season with Fulham, started his career at
local Norwegian club FK Vidar. In 2001 he moved to the top of the Tippeligaen, Viking FK, where he
later was promoted to captain.
