This should prove beyond a shadow Luis Suarez meant what he said to Patrice Evra. Every racist
word. This does not mean he is a paid member of the KKK. He's just a prick with a very low
threshold for frustration. Many fans in some blind reflexive way believed Suarez was the victim of
a smear job and their misguided support probably emboldened him today.
Luis Suarez decided to snub Patrice Evra's handshake ahead of today's 2-1 victory over
Liverpool. Given that Suarez was the guilty party, having been banned for eight games for racially
abusing Evra, it is incredible that he opted to disrespect our captain again today.
However, this could have been predicted when you consider Suarez revealed this week that Evra
was wrong to report the racial abuse he received.
Evra vs. Suarez Racism Scandal Handshake by Anatolly7 "VIDEO: Suarez Snubs Evra,
Rio Snubs Suarez" was originally published at The Republik of
Mancunia.
Rio Ferdinand refused to shake Luis Suarez's hand today after seeing that the Uruguayan snubbed
Patrice Evra's offer to shake his hand. Despite being found guilty of racially abusing Evra, our
captain was the bigger man in agreeing to shake his hand, but bizarrely, Suarez chose not to.
"Bad decision making from their guy," Rio told MUTV.

The Evra/Suarez handshake kerfuffle in GIF form, on endless repeat for the rest of time...

So, it was Luis Suarez who refused Patrice Evra's offer of a handshake at Old
Trafford earlier this afternoon...
The mascot is seen here at the exact moment he realises he's not the most immature man on
the pitch
Evra grabbed Suarez, then Rio Ferdinand also refused to shake his hand.
Police were forced to step in and separate both Manchester United and Liverpool players at
half-time after Patrice Evra confronted Luis Suarez in the tunnel. Suarez refused to shake Evra's
hand prior to kick-off as tension between the pair continue to simmer in the wake of Suarez's
eight-match ban after racially abusing the French defender.
Rio eats grass After the handshake controversy, Manchester United captain Patrice Evra made it his
ambition to plant one on Luis Suarez within the first minute of this afternoon's match. But he
missed and it was team-mate Rio Ferdinand who felt the brunt of his challenge instead, leading to
this spectacular faceplant.
The Greater Manchester Police reportedly confiscated all copies of a Manchester United fanzine
called Red Issue outside of Old Trafford ahead of the big handshake showdown (and football match)
between Man United and Liverpool. The unofficial magazine was deemed "incitement to racial hatred"
for including a cut-out of a KKK mask with the words "LFC" at the top and "Suarez is innocent" at
the bottom in reference to Liverpool's steadfast defense of Luis Suarez even after he was found
guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra and banned for eight matches.
Really poor behaviour by Luis Suarez in the Man United v Liverpool game. In the much anticipated
pre-match handshake, Evra went to shake Suarez's hand but Suarez blanked him and continued down the
line. Evra then reacted and tried grabbing hold of Suarez. Rio Ferdinand then ignored Suarez when
he tried to shake his hand.
Any hope of the Manchester United v Liverpool match passing without the racism row blowing up again
disappeared during the pre-match formalities when Luis Suarez refused to shake hands with Patrice
Evra. Evra held his hand out for Suarez and, having been snubbed, grabbed at the Uruguayan in an
attempt to enforce a handshake.
Just another week in paradise. With the resignation of Fabio Capello from his post as England
Manager / press voodoo doll, we're being reminded of some of the less savoury sides of the game.
The politicking, the whooping hyenas in the press, the reminder that the never ending cuntishness
of John Terry seems to hurt everybody expect John Terry.
John Terry has today been stripped of the England captaincy for a second time following
allegations of racism.
Terry allegedly called Anton Ferdinand a "black cunt" in Chelsea's defeat against QPR. In last
weekend's Cup game between the two clubs the FA scrapped the traditional handshake ahead of
kick-off after it became apparent that the QPR players would snub Terry in support of
Ferdinand.
All eyes will be on the prematch handshake at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to see whether Rio
Ferdinand will shake the hand of the person accused of racially abusing his brother.
Rio is said to be furious at the way the FA is standing besides John Terry despite his impending
court case, while in contrast, he was banned for nine months but the FA for missing a drugs
test.
After turning down a move to Celtic last summer, playing just 78 minutes of first team
football with Man City this season and having his manager suggest that he now spends his Saturdays
playing golf, Wayne Bridge has joined Sunderland on loan until the end of the season. Presumably,
he will actually play football there.

Both Chelsea and QPR decided there would be no customary handshake before the game as John Terry
and Anton Ferdinand met for the first time since their controversial racism scandal when last they
met. And there was more controversy as referee Mike Dean gave Chelsea a 62nd minute penalty after
England striker Daniel Sturridge dived in the area, fooling the official into
thinking QPR defender Clint Hill fouled the Chelsea cheat.

Considering all the pre-match hype concerning Anton Ferdinand and John Terry's long-awaited
reacquaintance, you would have thought that the game itself might have fizzled a bit more. However,
instead, it was a flat affair, with Juan Mata outstanding out for all the right reasons, and Daniel
Sturridge making a name for himself for all the wrong ones.
When pre-match handshakes become the subject of fervent debate and garner more analysis and
predictions than the actual football match that tends to follow them, something has gone wrong. So
in an attempt to help sidestep half the day's racial tensions, the FA decided that QPR and Chelsea
should just avoid hand shaking situations at all costs.
The magic of the FA Cup. The combined furor of two players and thus two clubs and two sets of
support groups embroiled in an alleged race row.
And, of course, handshake gate revisited.
Not again
Saturday's FA Cup fixture between visiting Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road is
brimmed with subplots.
There were to be no historonics before Barcelona's Copa del Rey tie with Real Madrid after the
first leg at the Bernabeu was marred by an intentional or not? stamp on Lionel Messi by Pepe as
both Men showed their manliness with a good old customary handshake!
Chelsea's up coming against Queens Par Rangers will be the first meeting for both John Terry and
Anton Ferdinand since claims that Terry racially abused Ferdinand surfaced last October.
And according to chief racism campaigner, Lord Herman Ouseley, he expects the duo to diffuse the
tension surrounding the incident by shaking hands during the customary pre match formalities.

While his club are urging him to, there is still a fair old wodge of uncertainty as to whether
Anton Ferdinand will shake John Terry's hand before QPR's FA Cup tie against Chelsea at Loftus Road
on Saturday.
As you will be all-too-well aware by now, Terry is due to attend a hearing at West London
magistrates court four days after the match on charges of racially abusing Ferdinand after
referring to the QPR centre-half as a 'farting black klutz' or something similar when the two sides
met in the Premier League back on October 23rd of last year.
The real issue with Mario Balotelli isn't his 'swag', abrasive nature or
arrogance for that matter. The real issue with Mario these days is that he's
turning into the Lady Gaga of football. Of course, the issue of kicking
Scott Parker in the head yesterday (in City's 3-2 defeat of Spurs) isn't something
that should surprise you at all.
The players spent many afternoons in training at camp in Phoenix at Athletes Perfomance, and during
the time between lunch and lectures they got into some serious games of table tennis (not
ping-pong, as we were admonished!). As you can imagine, the lads are competitive in whatever they
do.
Make sure you stick around to the end.
An image used by Gold Flake cigarettes warning of the dangers of smoking bears the likeness of
John Terry. The Chelsea captain is not amused and is planning legal action. There is no suggestion
that Terry has a pack a day smoking habit other than that he appears winded in some of the recent
games.
I realise this is slightly old news now but what the hell John Terry is set to face prosecution
over racism claims during a match with QPR a few weeks back. A complaint from a member of the
public was made to the police regarding the incident in which Terry squared up to Ferdinand before
apparently insulting him verbally.
Once again, sorry for the lack of activity on this blog. I'm still looking to hire some full
time writers so bare with me on this one. Secondly, apologies is this post has a rather sombre tone
it just feels as if, maybe especially towards the latter end of the year, that its not been a great
year for football in general.
Luis Suárez racism ban: PFA head Gordon Taylor supports FA's decision
• Taylor backs 'very strong message' over racist abuse • Lord Herman Ouseley urges
consistent tough stance Luis Suárez's eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra has been
supported by the head of the Professional Footballers' Association as "a very strong message to the
rest of the world".
Luis Suárez's racism conviction gets no comment from Uefa and Fifa
• International governing bodies keep out of domestic cases • Possible Liverpool appeal
means Suárez case is not over Fifa and Uefa will not comment on Luis Suárez being found guilty of
racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra by the Football Association, the governing bodies
told the Guardian on Wednesday morning.
Suarez...
Liverpool striker and Uruguayan national Luis Suarez was banned 8 games today by England's
Football Association for racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra, by calling him a
"Negro" on multiple occasions in a game in October. Suarez will also be fined £40,000.
Suárez was found guilty Tuesday evening; he has 14 days to appeal the ruling and sentence.

Considering the fact that Sepp Blatter has been working for FIFA for the best part of 40 years,
it is remarkable just how good he's gotten at annoying football fans, or should I say English
football fans.
Now if any other 75 year old man with a degree in business and economics (and has never played
professional football) walked into your local and started spouting their nonsense opinions about
how issues such as racism in football can be solved with a handshake, I'm sure he would be told to
pipe down and get out with some colourful language thrown in for good measure.

Morning all. Have you ever wandered across these humble pages and thought 'Y'know what, this is an
alright website and all that but what I'd really like to see is the chance to win some free stuff -
a competition, perhaps'? You have! Well, that's frighteningly convenient as The Boys From White
Hart Lane has joined forces with the wonderfully creative gang at Philosophy Football and guess
what?
Morning. I'll do my best to squeeze out some Europa themed brain dribbles later in the day
(sorry if that sounded facetious- I'm actually quite looking forward to it) but first news from our
old pals at Philosophy Football. You may remember these sartorial whizzes- amongst other
iconic football t-shirts- as the ones behind those rather delightful Danny Blanchflower numbers I
was seen to be pedalling on here a few months back.
NFL coaches have been under the microscope this season, and most of the attention has been drawn to
their attitude and demeanor - both with their players, their own coaching staffs, and their
peers.

Earlier this week, FIFA president, Sepp Blatter, caused a stir in the football world, by intimating
that racial abuse on the pitch could be fixed in the same way as a foul or a shove; with a simple
handshake. Blatter's comments suggested a naivety – or even an outright ignorance to the effects
of racism – that prompted calls for his resignation.
Why the FA must take the lead on the anti-Blatter revolution
In my opinion Sepp Blatter has been a racist, a homophobe and a sexist. And while we're at it,
he has been a dictator as well. Apart from that, I don't think there is much to criticise the FIFA
president for.
Why racism will always be a problem in football while FIFA are in charge
I now finally realise what a ‘Eureka moment' feels like. Because a light popped on in my head
hearing Sepp Blatter announce that racism does not exist in world football, and the little that
does should be resolved with a handshake.
