Charlie Davies has moved leagues, leaving France's Ligue 1 for Denmark's Superliga. Specifically,
he's now a member of Randers FC, a club that hasn't been around very long. Here's what you need to
know about Davies's new address. Why Are We Here? Every American soccer fan is familiar with the
Charlie Davies story.
It wasn't long ago when a young Charlie Davies became a hero in Sweden with Hammarby and now in
2012, Baggio Husidic is part of an American contingent aiming to bring the club back to glory.
Hello everyone, and welcome to today's edition of Musket Rounds. I apologize for the lateness,
and also for my recent absence. Real life has called, and I had to answer. Regardless, I'm back! On
to the Rounds.

Gregg Berhalter's coaching stint at Hammarby remains perfect after another win while Steffen Vroom
and Patrick Hopkins helped guide Ljungskile to a win over Umea
This actually happened before Christmas but I haven't gotten a chance to mention it. Baggio
Husidic, who's rights the Rapids acquired in the Re-Entry Draft, has decided to decline Colorado's
contract offer and instead sign with Hammarby IF in Sweden. Former U.S. Nats player Gregg Berhalter
was recently named manager of the AEG-owned club and this will probably be the first of multiple
signings from MLS for the team.
Hammarby IF head coach Gregg Berhalter won't be the only one at the club with MLS experience
next season.
Hammarby signed midfielder Baggio Husidic on Friday morning, the club announced on its website.
Husidic, who has spent the past three seasons with the Chicago Fire, agreed to a two-year deal with
the Swedish club.
The next stage of Gregg Berhalter's career will come as coach of Hammarby, and the former defender
is confident despite the pressures that come with leading one of Sweden's top teams.
Recently retired LA Galaxy defender Gregg Berhalter has moved directly into coaching. But to the
surprise of many, it won't be in America. He was confirmed as the new manager of Hammarby IF in the
Swedish second division today -- article from the AP is here, press release from Hammarby's website
is here (in Swedish).

Sporting Kansas City has agreed to release Omar Bravo so he can return to Mexico and play for Cruz
Azul in the upcoming Clausura.
-I have no idea what this really means.
Galaxy owner Anschutz Entertainment Group is a part-owner of Swedish club Hammarby, so the news
isn't as strange as it first appears. Still, Gregg Berhalter has been an assistant coach at the
Galaxy for less than a year, so it's still a big step up. And it's a sign of
The New England's Revolution's front line is making way for yet another new face.
The Revs signed Swedish striker Bjorn Runstrom on Wednesday, adding another player to a
completely revamped attack. Runstrom joins Saer Sene, Jose Moreno, Fernando Cardenas and Blake
Brettschneider as new forwards who have joined the club since the offseason.
The New England Revolution have announced today, via press release, that they have put pen to
paper and signed Swedish forward Bjorn Runstrom. Runstrom, who trialed with the Revolution in
Arizona during the preseason and scored one goal in three appearances, will be added to the roster
pending receipt of his P-1 Visa and his International Transfer Certificate.

Two weeks ago it appeared the New England Revolution's chances of signing Björn Runström had
come to an end after the Swedish striker rejected the team's final offer according to his agent,
Patrick Mörk.
Björn Runström appears unlikely to join the New England Revolution after turning down the
club's final contract offer, according to his agent Patrick Mörk.

One preseason trialist who may still be on his way to the New England Revolution is Swedish
striker Björn Runström. According to Runström's agent, Patrick Mörk, negotiations are ongoing
with the club.

One of the more intriguing trialists in preseason camp with the New England Revolution currently
is Swedish forward Björn Runström. The 27-year-old has been on the books at clubs in England,
Italy, Germany, Denmark, Norway and his native Sweden already in his career.
The New England Revolution has some new faces training in Tucson as they have taken on a new
crop of trialists. Jeremiah White returns for his second attempt to earn a contract, and he will be
joined by Björn Runström (forward, Sweden, 27), Luisito Campisi (midfielder, Italy, 25), Florian
Lechner (defender, Germany, 30), and, of course, Tom Cruise (defender, England, 20), according to
Sean Donahue at New England Soccer Today.

The Generation adidas class for 2012 is nearly complete. UNC midfielder Enzo Martinez has signed
his GA deal with the league but his former Tar Heel teammate Billy Schuler declined his offer from
the league to go to Europe.
Reports out of Sweden say that Hammarby IF (yes, Greg Berhalter's new club) is close to signing
the Tar Heel to a deal.

Against the expectation of many in the US, the United States Football Association's first
international tour in Scandinavia in the summer of 1916 had been a great success. The cash-strapped
USFA had come out of the trip in the black—the Swedish FA had paid for the tour thanks to the
backing of a leading Swedish newspaper—and the team had performed well to garner a 3–1–2
record despite having been put together only days before departure to Europe without the benefit of
tryouts.
It's getting close to do or die time for Baggio Husidic and Hammarby in their quest for promotion as they take on fellow Stockholm-based side Brommapojkarna Tuesday.
AIK Media interviews Gavin Wilkinson and gives the run down on how the teams came together. The
other interview about the partnership in Swedish was very revealing (such as a Portland to
Stockholm trip is not as likely, but a return of AIK is more likely). I'll have to write up about
it.
Since learning that AIK was coming to Portland I have had a great interest in what the other
side thinks of this preseason tournament. Stockholm was my home for a little over a year from
2002-2004 (I spent time in other far reaching corners of Sweden like Norrbottens Län).
The 2012 MLS Draft is a month away, and the Montreal Impact's options with the No. 1 overall
pick are ready to get a lot weaker.
Akron University striker Darren Mattocks, a consensus pick to be among the first two players
selected in January's MLS Draft, is ready to pass on the Generation adidas contract offered to him
by MLS to sign in Europe.
