I was just going to do a recap of my All-Time Team tonight but the Denver Post had an interesting article about tension in the Rapids Front Office this afternoon. It seems that Gary Smith is happy to sign a new contract for next year, but not if he has to continue to work with Technical Director Paul Bravo.

Scott the Red: Were you happy with your team's performance last season?

David Johnston: I think in the first two seasons in the top flight the target has to be survival.

A look at Jürgen Klinsmann's selection list for the USA friendly match vs Mexico reveals a high level of turnover from the squad that faced Mexico in the Gold Cup final. Some of the changes were forced by injury (Zach Loyd), others by the start of the European domestic season (Clint Dempsey) or by players' unsettled situations at their clubs (Michael Bradley).

People love rumors. Often times they aren't true, and in the modern era of the internet people without a source will make claims of offers. But let's just look at Marcus Hahnemann's words to ESPN over twitter.

"I have to talk to Sigi Schmid and the guys in Seattle to see if they actually want me first.

So much going on this morning... I'm trying to get my thoughts together for my Press-Enterprise column so this kind of a rough draft for that...
I was originally going to focus on the Gold Cup but there's a lot to get to so I think I'll have my expanded Gold Cup thoughts right here since I've gotta get them out somewhere and Twitter's 140-character limit isn't quite enough.

By now you have probably heard the Bob Bradley deadline of May 23 to announce his call-ups for the U.S. National Team. This is a critical call-up, as not only will these players play in the 2011 Gold Cup but also in the friendly versus Spain. As such, Bob Bradley will likely go the opposite of Camp Cupcake and take a veteran lineup to Foxborough.

The Wolves goalkeeper – and Premier League's only pilot – tells how he leaves the worries of the pitch on the ground.
Hahnemann, like most goalkeepers, has always been regarded as a little eccentric. The former Reading keeper has a sizeable gun collection, listens to heavy metal, likes to go deer stalking near his old home in Berkshire, spends hours doing up the many cars he owns and, to the bemusement of his team-mates completes a 10-mile round trip into training on his mountain bike every day.

Hahnemann gets pissed off when people say he looks like Fred Durst. Well Marcus, we hope this helps...

Hahnemann is a Yankee goalkeeper who looks a bit nothing like Fred Durst.
