Sporting Braga have suffered their first defeat of the Portuguese League at the 1/3rd mark of the
season. Braga had gained big victories over Portugal's more powerful teams in FC Porto, Benfica and
Sporting but fell this week in Guimaraes to their Local Derby rivals 1-0 on a 30th minute goal by

Leixoes have opened Week 5 of the Portuguese Superliga (Liga Sagres) with renounding victory over
Guimaraes. Leixoes picked up their first victory of the season on the 3-1 win. Laranjeiro on a PK,

after a night out in Guimaraes on Sunday.
The incident took place at the four-star Villa Hotel in Guimaraes following dinner after the 4-0

will start it off with Guimaraes who defeated Trofense 3-2 with goals from Custodio and a pair from
Douglas while Trofense's markers came from Helder Sousa and Reguila. Nacional defeated Setubal 1-0

Sporting pull off late heroics in their victory of Guimaraes. Sporting scored two goals, one from
Derlei and one from Leidson in the finals nine minutes to come from behind and defeat Guimaraes
2-1. The win increases the heat on league leaders Porto who now sit one point ahead of Sporting
with a game in hand.

Guimaraes go into the Estadio da Luz and hand the hosts their first home loss of the season 1-0.
Benfica had command of this game for the most part and great runs by Di Maria and Reyes were wasted
time and time again as Benfica could not capitalize. Guimaraes then scored on a counter attack in
the second half were Roberto beat Moreira to the far side to give the visitors the victory.

Nacional have continued there winning ways after a 3-0 defeat of Guimaraes in Superliga action.
Nacional had goals from Nene with a pair and Ruben. Nene the Superliga's Leading Scorer increased
his goal total to 14. Nacional now are unbeaten in their last 5 games and currently sit in third
spot in the Superliga at the moment pending the rest of the weeks action.

Benfica has made available tickets to their Carlsberg Cup semi-final matchup against Guimaraes
today for the matchup tomorrow at the Estadio da Luz. Benfica will be looking to move to their
first Carlsberg Cup final to take on the winner of FC Porto and Sporting on March 4, 2009.
