Morning all, welcome to another blog.
FP should start with a shout out to The West's Shayne Hope. For those who haven't caught the news
this morning, Ireland were robbed of a spot in the World Cup after Thierry Henry used a blatant
handball to help bail out France.
Checking out SH's twitter this morning gave FP a bit of a laugh: "Maradona's was the Hand of God -
so Thierry Henry's must be the Hand of Frog, right?

Take your pick: a meaningless friendly on European soil, or fighting for a World Cup spot today.
As far as that goes, American soccer fans can't complain about their situation. Thanks to some
gutsy results in the final two games of the tournament, they aren't in Montevideo, with a tough
Uruguay squad looking to deal a knockout blow.

by CARL ELDRIDGEÂ Will RVP be out for six weeks or a season? That's the question we are left
asking after reports in this morning's papers disagreed on the period our Dutch ace will be
sidelined.
The Daily Mail reports that he has insisted he will be out of action for no more than six weeks

By 1970's GoonerAfter Bendtner's groin injury was announced I was beginning to worry as to what
would have happened had van Persie suffered an injury himself! He is prone to do that I was
thinking....In his absence I would not have hesitated to blow young Bendtner's trumpet. He has
improved in leaps and bounds this season and would have been ideal to take over from van Persie and

like the international break has arrived at the right time to allow some of them to recover.
Riera & Benayoun both picked up hamstring injuries against Birmingham. Agger & Johnson both pulled
out of their international squads so they can get treatment on minor injuries.

OK, so we dropped two points against lowly Birmingham at home in the Premier League to leave us 11

match.
Liverpool played some really good positive football, mounting wave after wave of attack for the
full ninety minutes.
