The Milwaukee Wave are champions once again.
Defender Jonathan Greenfield scored in the opening minute, then assisted on two
goals in the second half as the Wave beat the host Baltimore Blast 16-7 in the Major Indoor Soccer
League Championship Game in front of a crowd of 10,274 Friday night at 1st Mariner Arena.
For three quarters tonight out at the Independence Event Center, the Missouri Comets held the
Milwaukee Wave scoreless. And while the fourth quarter the Comets defense finally gave way, the
Comets had just enough offense to hold off the Wave, winning 11-5 and taking the advantage to
Milwaukee for the second game of the series on Sunday.
