A little respite before the storm I suppose. But, not really.
The U10 lads have their final regular season game before play-offs - if they win tomorrow morning
they'll be seeded 6th going into the post season.
Sunday morning at 9 is the final training session with the Thanksgiving Tournament Team, and then
at 12:00 noon is the start of the Dinamo Recruitment Session at Griffith Park - and the launch of
the Women's Team.

Earlier today, me, narcissistically posting in Pitch Invasion's Sweeper, which was awesome enough
to link to me three times, and oh, yeah, had a bit about the depressing match fixing revelations
coming out of Europe:
Anyway, Declan Hill is working on his "told you so" blog entry right now.

Great news today coming out of the club with the news that John Terry was back to training normally
and Joe and Ashley Cole were both involved today after their injury problems. It was thought that
Ash would be out longer but has made a great recovery. There were reports that Joe and Ashley were
involved in training so far as that it was strictly under non-contact orders from the club.

FC Boro 11 November @ 01:43 PM EST
Port Vale's trip to Broadhall Way for their 1st round replay against Boro next Tuesday will be
streamed live on the FA website. It's great news for the club as they are now due to receiveÂ
£33,750 for the game being broadcasted live, even though it isn't on TV. It's an unexpected bonus
for Phil Wallace and the club, who after losing the Setanta TV money in the summer have now
received this income as well as part of the £1m the Premier League gave to the Conference earlier
in the season.

in the squad injured at the moment, we will struggle to put out 11 fit players on Wednesday in

Well, as the Who said, "The Kids Are Alright"
Arsenal beat Liverpool 2-1 to go through to the quarterfinals of the Carling Cup. And look:
sure, it wasn't Liverpool's first team, either; we were playing at home; and it wasn't like this
was a purely youth team Senderos, Silvestre, and Eduardo can all rightfully be called veterans, and
Bendtner, Fabianski, and Nasri are all young but have a lot of first-team experience.

Ledley King is rumoured to be extremely likely to play at Portsmouth tomorrow after his prolonged
absence from the starting XI. This is, obviously, great news - if I see Tom Huddlestone lining up
at centre back one more time, I'll have a coronary.
But the other bit of defensive comeback news that we should all be throwing our proverbial hats in
the air for is that Jonathan Woodgate has resumed full training again and is thought to be inching
closer to a first start of the season.

From the US Soccer website:
Davies suffered a lacerated bladder and fractures to the tibia and femur bones in his right leg.
He also suffered facial fractures and a left elbow fracture. Davies was air-lifted to the hospital
where a team of doctors first repaired a ruptured bladder and then inserted titanium rods in both
the tibia, the bone in the lower leg, and the femur, which is the thigh bone, with no
complications.

There was a time when one would hear Liverpool and Chelsea in the same sentence, immediately
projectile vomit and then proceed on with their merry day.
That doesn't seem to be the case nowadays, does it? Not after last season, anyway.
These two loveable clubs who so often have sucked the life out of the sport of football over the
past few years now appear best mates I'd reckon they quite enjoy the odd cuddle up and romantic
comedy on a Friday night.

First of all apologies for the lack of posts in the last two days. It is not because I've been

why I didn't write anything since the end of September.
I did try posting something yesterday, it was going to be mainly images.

Ah it's that time of the week again, and once again I'm rather late with my match report. Is
anyone surprised? I thought not. As always here's the BBC's statistical preview, complete with a
rather corny sword/pirate(?) analogy. For some reason this week they actually wrote quite a bit
about the game (probably because people in the media actually care about Tottenham), they mention
the "iron fist inside Tottenham's velvet glove".

Gary Cahill has turned into quite the little star recently. Speculation is coming from all sides
about performing for England. He definitely has quality competition, and were I in Capello's place
I wouldn't play Cahill before Ferdinand or Terry in a competitive match, however in a friendly I
would definitely give Cahill his chance (probably partnered with Terry, given the choice).

Arsenal announced their financial results for the year ending 31 May 2009 and the news is great

that will add considerable strain to the relationship between the league and the technology company
(the Premier League sued YouTube, now owned by Google, in May 2007).
