It's time for a little overdue wrap up post with the correct answers to the recent quizzes.
One of These Players is not Like the Others
Answer: Didi Hamann. All other players were transfers from Karlsruhe to Bayern, while
Hamann came through Bayern's youth system for a change.

Reports are emanating on the grapevine that Arsene Wenger is very keen on Wolfsburg's impressive
playmaker Zvjezdan Misimovic who could apparently be available for as little as £6m although some
suggest that the German champions would accept nothing less than a fee in the region of £10m.

VfL Wolfsburg vs Besiktas
Last year's Bundesliga champions have been disappointing this season. They have only shown
glimpses of the wonderful attacking football that we were all spoiled with this past year.
Grafite is back from a club-enforced break following his red card against Besiktas a fortnight
ago.

Dirty Tackle 22 October @ 12:45 AM EST
Wolfsburg stiker Grafite was shown a straight red in Wednesday's Champions League match against
Besiktas for this nonchalant no-look backhand to the face of defender Ibrahim Kas in the 74th
minute.
Had it not been for the cameras and the reaction and, you know, everyone seeing it right away I
think he would have gotten away with the sneaky slap, too.

It seemed the CL was full of petulant players slapping one another. This time it was Grafite
slapping Kas in the Wolfsburg vs Besiktas match. It got him the red card.

Manchester United vs CSKA Moscow
I believe there is some drama to be had from Group B and I expect this fixture to provide it.
The table at the moment has United with six points and then Wolfsburg and Moscow with three
points.
When United visit Russia they will have a difficult task on their hands.

Ninety minutes (excluding added time and ‘Fergie time') this morning reminded me why I stay up
at 2.45am to watch twenty-two millionaires play the beautiful game. What an encounter it was
between the German and English title holders, truly CHAMPIONS league football! I've learnt never to
doubt a German man (ladies, please take note) because Wolfsburg manager Armin Veh was true to his
word when he said he would be attacking Manchester United from the start at the Theatre of
Dreams.

CSKA Moscow vs Besiktas
Turkish side Besiktas are making the always difficult trip to Russia to face Moscow. They come
off a 1-0 loss to Manchester United and will be keen to get a point in Russia.
To do so they will have to find the back of the net, something they have had problems doing.

As relative tame as Tuesday's half of the UEFA Champions League Matchday Two was, Today's half
has the makings of an unforgettable round.
Four high-profile match-ups headline the eight-match menu, including Bayern Munich-Juventus,

Matchday Two of the Champions League is fast approaching and one thing for sure is that VfL
Wolfsburg should provide something of a tougher test than United's previous opponents in the
competition. Yes while Besiktas were plucky and persistent, the German champions are a far more
accomplished outfit and you've probably heard that they're not too bad up front either.

Wednesday night sees last years runners up Manchester United take centre stage, as they face
Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg at Old Trafford. Both teams got off to a winning start in week one
but with home advantage, it's United that will be under the most pressure to perform in week
two.

The Wolves are on the hunt at Old Trafford. And I don't mean the ones that got slaughtered by
Sunderland over the weekend. This is the real deal, the German Wolves known as Verein für
Leibesübungen Wolfsburg-Fußball GmbH but more conveniently referred to as VfL Wolfsburg. As the
reigning Bundesliga champions, this is their first foray into the UEFA Champions League, and what
better way to be introduced into the top tier of European football than with a trip to the reigning
English and World club champions (it really hurts me to not be able to put European champions).

The site Futebol Finance produced a list of the top 25 salaries of Brazilian footballers around
the world. The surprise? The list has a number of players who are veterans or have not produced
much in recent seasons. That shows us that even in football, the brand is what counts. What is also
scary about the list?

OK so we're only two games in but could we be seeing the early signs of how the new Bundesliga
season is going to shape up? At the end of last season, most pundits believed that Wolfsburg might
dip somewhat following their magnificent success last season and the inevitable departure of their
best forwards, not to mention that of Svengali coach Felix Magath.

Wolfsburg won the historical Bundesliga title last season, mostly thanks to fantastic striker
partnership between Edin Dzeko and Grafite. The club somehow managed to hold on to
the striking duo, whereas they even managed to reinforce the strongest attack in Germany. The
Wolves signed Obafemi Martins from Newcastle for a reported fee of £9
million, with the Nigerian signing a four-year contract.

I tend to get too excited about the young kids, when they move. I will often over-value the
transfers of the the Zuculini, Sven Bender and Lewis Holtby's of the footballing world. I will see
Ralf Fahrmann's move to Eintracht as the bargain of the century. But youth takes time to develop,
so this year I am going to concentrate on the seven best transfers made so far this summer, in
relation to how the players will aid their teams in the coming year.

Every year Premiership managers conspire to spend millions of pounds on exotic sounding foreign
players whose names have never graced the screens of an English TV. Last year it was Marouane
Fellaini, a £15 million signing for Everton. And what's more, his tough tackling, willingness to
play ludicrously out of position, and even more ludicrous haircut have made the Premiership a
better place over the last twelve months.

After Cruzeiro's 3-1 victory over Gremio, Maxi Lopes from Gremio was detained by two police

Bundesliga leading scorer Grafite is back home in Brazil for the offseason and to celebrate his
personal achievements and Wolfsburg's league title, he has apparently decided to share his musical
stylings with the few people willing to subject themselves to something so horrible.
In the video above, Grafite appears out of nowhere at about the 3:12 mark, without a shirt on
which seems oddly appropriate.
