As you know, Sounder at Heart does not have any official supporters' group affiliation. We do, however, consider ourselves friends of most of them. If you'd like to know any of them better, we highly recommend that you attend one of their two end-of-year parties. As it turns out, Kasey Keller is scheduled to be at both of them.

The thing is the goat is creepy. He's got that aggro-perv smile going while two comely cheerleaders in hotpants & knee socks stand beside him with their forced smiles that suggest that there is a gun pointed at them on the other side of the camera. And he's got a sixpack. Why does a goat have totally ripped-up, "gorilla juicehead" abs?

Landon Donovan: Do You Miss Him?

Kickettes? It has become evident in recent weeks that we are not paying enough attention to Landon Donovan. The LA Galaxy and USMNT midfielder tends to be overshadowed by his prettier and taller (see above) team mates and in lieu of having anything newsworthy to write about, we have decided that we must immediately conduct an investigation into Landon's recent activities to find out whether we've missed anything particularly manly or interesting.

Talking about math, rest deficits and today's big WWC semifinal

The big brains behind the Freakonomics franchise have taught us a couple of important lessons about life. One is this: sometimes the events in our world can be reduced to simple math.

That's why I'm a bit skittish about the U.S. chances today against France today at Borussia Park.

The Dynamo are in a rebuilding year having brought in new players to replace those lost to contracts overseas.

Trialists and Training Camp - Different Doesn't Always Mean Better

Some people questioned why trialists weren't included in the estimated depth chart. This was two fold, most of the trialists in camp right now I have not seen play, secondly they almost certainly not going to be on the roster. Akeem Adams, Tye Perdido, Kerry Baptiste and more; we've seen dozens flow through Sounders training over the past few years.

Watching the World Cup has been like a part-time job for me, literally up to the point where I actually appreciated the days off.

Hopefully that doesn't sound like I'm burnt out or anything but the reality is that I've spent more time watching soccer in the past few weeks than I have spent watching almost any other one thing in the past year.

Getting to the Rose City

Without a doubt, one of the greatest things about the Portland-Seattle rivalry -- and probably its key component -- is the teams' proximity.

Of course, that only makes a real difference if fans travel.

As close as Portland may be in a relative sense, three hours of one-way driving is hardly something most people want to do on a Wednesday.

People need to quit the concern, the fright, the fear mongering. Sure, it is designed around being a General Admission event against a team with the most passionate supporters AGAINST Seattle, but everyone involved is smart, and aware. I don't know if we are seeing concern trolling from the anti-SG people online but the fret and worry is quite unnecessary.
