Right. Straight off the bat, Pies would like to clarify that we're not saying this is 100%
definitely the design for Arsenal's new home kit for 2012/13.
What we are saying is that this mock-up has been drafted by
Arsenalinsider, who have a decent hit-rate on these sorts of things and who are
also claiming to have been privy to a photo of the actual design courtesy of a deepthroat informant
in the Nike camp and that they are willing to stand by their reproduction 'such is the strength of
belief in their source'.
There appears to be a split amongst Gooners at the moment that an Olympic gymnast would be very
proud of.
So when I pose the question; is Tomas Rosicky worth a new contract at Arsenal? I expect many
differences of opinion.
In the past Tomas has frustrated me. Not because I think he is a bad player but because during his
time at the club he has spent at least 78% of it in the physio room.
Arsenal will tour the Far East taking in Seoul, Beijing and Hong Kong in the summer, it can be
revealed.
Gunners chiefs are in talks with Far East parties to finalise the jaunt having already sealed a
deal to play a friendly match in Nigeria.
With exposing the brand to global markets key to Arsenal's business strategy, gone are the days
when Arsène Wenger could take the squad to Austria to take the Alpine air and prepare for the
season ahead.
Make no mistake about it, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has created a buzz amongst Gooners that is only
comparable with Charlie Sheen mangled on Tigerblood.
The boy has burst onto the scene in explosive fashion since making his first league start for
Arsenal against Manchester United last month.
In our best performance this year we humiliated a struggling Blackburn Rovers with our
superior attacking display.
The beginning of this article was written before our win over Blackburn Rovers yesterday.
Here we are, now our fourth game without another win in the Premier league, and the best we
could do was a nil-nil draw.
by STUART WATSON I really love the F.A Cup, a lot of my boyhood memories derive from the
competition whether they be good or bad. A few early ones include the two semifinals at Wembley in
the early 90's, Wrexham in 92, Linighans late goal to win us the cup in 93, Andy Walker smashing
the ball past David Seaman to give Bolton a historic win at Highbury, and getting knocked out by
Millwall and Sheffield United in consecutive seasons.
For today's introduction we are going back into the mists of time, when men were men and not
floppy overcooked strings of spaghetti like Busquets, Nani and Pepe.
England were World Champions and Man Utd had recently won the European Cup. For
the younger reader who has grown up in the Sky era, there can be no understanding of the excitement
and national pride that both events stirred.
We're a bit in the doldrums here at Arsenal Arsenal. At the moment we're still numb from
the defeat on Sunday and finding it hard to be upbeat and forward thinking. Our twin posts today
are in celebration of the return of Thierry Henry. Hopefully our bloggers will come out from behind
the sofa and remember the positives of this season so far, but don't let that stop you commenting
on where we go from here.
Almost a year ago, in the Evening Standard of 20 January 2011, Arsene Wenger was quoted at
saying:
We have a shared leadership in our team, but I believe Fabregas is an outstanding leader,
especially when you consider he is 23 years old, with personality and character and Van Persie as
well.
What an incredibly frustrating week not to be able to blog. Henry's return in the cup against
Leeds, a dour affair until he emerged from the bench, was settled by three sublime touches a
delicious through ball from Song, an immaculate piece of control, and a trademark cool finish to
take the man to 227 goals for Arsenal and send thousands of Gooners into a mad bouncing frenzy.
So, it's all over, Arsene. In a season in which we have celebrated 125 years of glorious
tradition and history it has come to this. With the news that the imperious gladiators of global
football have grasped an unassailable nine point lead ahead of our once proud team, surely it is
time for Arsenal to fold.

One to cut out and keep for all those misty-eyed Gooners out there, Thierry Henry's trademark
'Thierry Henry' goal on his second Arsenal debut against Leeds last night...
"When he got in position, I thought 'oh, that's your angle'.
Thierry Henry proved he can still cut it at Championship level, at least with a goalscoring Arsenal
comeback. The returning legend bagged the only goal in a 1-0 win over Leeds in last night's FA Cup
third round clash. Henry entered the action as a second half substitute for Marouane Chamakh (as if

The Return of Arsenal's King
"It was like a dream when he scored. It was the story you would tell a kid. It is not often like
that in our game." - Arsene Wenger
It's hard to add to Arsene's description of Thierry Henry's return to the Emirates.
If ever there was a match made in Heaven in the footballing world, it would have to be between
Arsenal and Thierry Henry, who have found each other again after a five-year absence, with the
magic the same as it ever was.
It was an otherwise drab encounter, with little to get excited about as a makeshift Arsenal team
struggled to break down a determined and dogged Leeds side coming with only one intention a
lucrative replay.
Being realistic the FA Cup is the last throw of the dice for Arsenal to win silverware this
season.
We have as much chance of winning the league as Frank Lampard trying Diet Coke, are out of the pint
of Carling Cup and the way Barcelona are playing UEFA may as well hand them the Champions League
trophy now.
We need more potency in the final third, that much was clearly on show on Monday against
Fulham.
We dominated and played some of the best football this season, but we could not finish....
second half we took off pace and just got straight out pummeled for 30 minutes.
Say what you want about the ref, red cards, penalties etc.

When Thierry Henry scored in Madrid in 2005, the ITV commentator, Peter Drury, I think, called
him "the gunner galactico" and since we have now given our record scorer a statue, it seems a fair
representation of his greatness.
In April 2004 I stood in the lower east stand, just over an hour before kickoff.

Premier League half-term fans' reports: Arsenal to Manchester United
Part one of the Observer fans' network's review of the 2011-12 season so far ARSENAL: 6/10
Bernard Azulay, GoonersDiary.blogspot.com It feels as if the mettle we've displayed in our recent
run of form was forged in the debacle of the opening weeks of our campaign, when we struggled to
cope with the departures of Fábregas and Nasri, together with the absence of Vermaelen and
Wilshere.
The recent strong run by the Gunners has created this impression that they are a hard lot to
beat. I am among the many Gooners who have noted and commented on the doggedness of this Arsenal
squad. With that in mind, I thought it would be interesting to see if some numbers back the new
found resolve that is being widely perceived and how other top teams stacked up when compared to
Arsenal.

I read with some interest the news from Ivan Gazidis that away fans could potentially be moved
from their current position in the lower tier at the Emirates to the upper tier of the Clock End
that houses away fans in cup ties.
Whilst I think this is a great idea in principal, this suggestion has raised a few questions
that I'm sure will need addressing.

Well, would you believe it? It seems as if progress is on the Arsenal horizon with chief bod
Ivan Gazidis seemingly open to ideas from Gooners on improving the atmosphere at the Emirates.
Revealtions this morning on Twitter suggest that the club are pondering the option of booting away
fans upstairs in the Clock End, thus allowing home supporters cheaper seats and improving the unity
at that end.

At the end of Saturday's game, SZCZ fell to his knees and kissed Robin's boot. Whilst it's a
manoeuvre many other gooners would probably replicate at the moment, a better one would have been
to cover Robin's entire body in cotton wool.
We are not a one-man side. We have one of the best goalkeepers in European football.
Here's Dynaman HRH Kofi Sarkodie taking over Day 3 of the Generation Adidas European trip blog.
I think it's nice that they surrounded Dynamo's four players with some nice supporting talent from
a few other MLS sides. Kofi shows once again he's not afraid to mix it up with some big boys.
Since we last spoke, I've completed a degree, got married and switched continents.
The Season ticket has been swapped for 10am kick-offs at Lucky Bar DC. Thankfully, some of the best
Gooners in the world reside over here in the States.
Forgive me for not posting.
But, really, the reason my posting slowed up over the last few years is that, for at least the last
two seasons, I found it difficult to say anything original about Arsenal.
The Twittersphere was alive last night with the scoreline London 2-0 Manchester, as both City
and, more spectacularly, United failed to join Arsenal and Chelsea for the knockout stages of this
season's Champions League.
The response from dejected mancs has been that this scoreline is of little relevance; the red
and blue halves of Manchester still make up the top two in the Premier League, and the Londoners
don't really have a chance of conquering Europe anyway.

This just in: Arsenal will make a January move to lure Samir Nasri away from Manchester City
with the promise of Champions League football. Got to giggle haven't you?
Fancy another laugh? Take a gander at my view of the game against Olympiakos the other night.
Poxy isn't it? Almost 2,000 miles and a good few hundred quid and I end up staring at the back of a
Bubble plod.

After a long time, Europe's premier competition has thrown up a few surprises and plenty of
excitement. At the time of the draw few, if any, would have expected United to bow out. Fewer still
would have expected the Gunners to qualify from a tough group before the other three English clubs
and with a game to spare.

This season has been special for many reasons, one of which is the chance to watch Manchester City
emulate the great Arsenal "Invincibles" and get through the season undefeated. The second reason
has been the insane results, the 8-2 Red Devils win over the Gooners being the highlight. The third
reason and focus of this article is how some Premiership players have embraced the "Big Hair".
