[Editor's note: For a write up of what happened at last year's Team
Dinner, click here. It's a great cause and an incredibly fun event.]
The Kyle Nakazawa organized Team Dinner will have its second annual charity event in late April,
with tickets being open to the general public starting at 4 pm today.
I have more goodies coming over the next week, but let's just settle a couple of things for now.
Folks seem to over-deciphered a comment by Rangers boss Ally McCoist when he said he was open to
sending Alejandro Bedoya out on loan. I can assure you he will not be doing so, that there are no
such discussions occurring and that the manager is happy with the player's progress at Ibrox.
As I sorted out my goodies satchel for today's offering, it occurred to me suddenly that I forgot
to drop one yesterday. Thus, I owe two in this post. And so it will be done.First, I am going to
corroborate/elaborate on a report from the always fine Columbus Dispatch's Adam Jardy. I often come
to knock things down, this time I'm here to tell you the Crew beat writer has everything
I was tracking this, but clearly doing do slightly late: Edson Buddle's agent just tweeted (sweet
Moses, I hate that website) that his client is set to trial at West Ham United. It seems the new
Ingolstadt coach is looking to shed payroll, hence the early winter vacation for the US
international.Don't worry, I still have enough to complete the eight days of goodies for you.
Filling some reader requests, once again back is the incredible...#1 - Quite wisely, Klinsi has let
Landon Donovan out of the USMNT travel party.#2 - Let me just get this out of the way, so it
doesn't wait until item five to annoy you with anticipation. I have some deluxe goodies of all
varieties coming soon at MLSS.

'Tis only just gone Halloween and already the corporate marketing types at Arsenal are already
getting all hot under the collar over Christmas.
Here, Andrei Arshavin, Tomas Rosicky et al appear in an "hilarious" video, the undoubted
highlight of which is the appearance of Gunners legend Charlie George, who proceeds to steal a few
goodies for himself.
Former Everton teammates and current BFFs Mikel Arteta and Tim Cahill grilled up some goodies last
Thursday night. We smell what they're cookin'. And we want more. Image via @Tim_Cahill
If the sign of a good team is winning when not playing the most coruscating stuff then I suppose
our lot are trundling towards half-decent, and the Top Four goodies contained therein. Although
things picked up in the second half, today we were certainly not at our
Give-Scousers-The-Run-Around-And-Score-Goals-For-Fun best.
This is Going Away. So are Your Loyalty Points. One of the advantages the Red Bulls touted
when they introduced the RFID membership cards in 2010 was the ability for season ticket holders to
accumulate loyalty points throughout the season, which they would be able to spend on various
experiences, merchandise, tickets and other extras.
**This week's guest post comes courtesy of Tony, who's been commenting
regularly as Tropics Red and contributed a post earlier in the summer. He
discusses his experience visiting Anfield and his opportunity to rub elbows with some of the club's
legends.
The big brains behind the Freakonomics franchise have taught us a couple of important lessons
about life. One is this: sometimes the events in our world can be reduced to simple math.
That's why I'm a bit skittish about the U.S. chances today against France today at Borussia
Park.
spanish football sports Seems like ATLETICO DE MADRID is finally accepting the inevitable, that
their star forward Sergio Aguero will be leaving the Club. Things are not all bad, if an
alternative Club comes along & pays 45M€ imagine what "goodies" you can buy in the transfer
market to cover the absense.
I've noticed there's been a bit of a confusion/controversy over EA not including all MLS teams in
the newest edition of the game. Here to answer to all that is Mr. Horse's Mouth (not his real
name).Side programming note: I will likely drop a combo catch-up/goodies post tonight, but it will
be late my time.
Otherwise known as the silly season to me. Yep, I do a lot of waiting, which naturally translates
to you all. While I'm busy staring at the phone, let's drop a few goodies to hold you over. If I
don't mention something you heard, assume I'm on it already. And waiting...Shall we begin again in
fair Roma?
I'll be back later with some of those teased goodies about Roma and Jozy later, but right now
there's too much good stuff on the tube...We spend so much time focused on goals of all sorts here,
let's begin by not forgetting to spread some love to the keepers. From this week's MLS Saves of the
Week nominees, my vote goes unreservedly to Sean Johnson.
I lost my interwebs for a long while, but have returned to 2011. Though I have some goodies
prepared for you, please bear with me for a spell. I will get those served up later for everyone to
nibble on - some interesting developments to reveal today.- Greg Seltzer
As you can see, this is your European breakfast edition.I'm sure you've wondered why NSC got so
quiet about goodies suddenly, but let me assure you the efforts continue through the "radio
silence".I've come to learn over the years that these things go in cycles. However, I still cannot
say whether the down cycle is related to a lack of activity out there or everyone zipping lips once
I find out a
A not-quite-totally-accurate report about this has hit a paper in Italy, so it's forced goodies
spill time again:I have learned that among the first things AS Roma plans to do when the new
American ownership group led by Thomas DiBenedetto is officially handed the keys this summer is
pluck themselves a US player.
Another quick double hit for ya, and there will be more goodies to come soon - lots of marinating
goin' down. Here is a quick report on interest in Hannover 96 winger DaMarcus Beasley. It will be no
surprise to learn that he indeed has MLS talks happening, but wait - it gets better. In addition to
the previously mentioned Bursaspor effort, I have now learned that at least one EPL club and two
Okay, Blogger is just back after having some sort of meltdown for a day. The most recent post has
gone missing somehow, so I will try to figure that out and then come back with some fresh goodies
for you all. Bear with me for a spell here.- Greg Seltzer
Major League Soccer released an update to their iPhone app today that pushed changes to make it
universal to the iPad as well. Lots of goodies were packed in this update too. Key features of the
MLS MatchDay 2011 App include:
- Live game streaming (via MatchDay Live available through In-App Purchase)
- Real time highlights
- Redesigned Matchcenter and improved statistical display
- Matchday and newspaper modes (iPad)
- Customized homescreen allowing users to follow their favorite Club
- AirPlay allows users to send all MLS video to their television through Apple TV
- Facebook chats
- Customizable alert system
I took a little time to go through the new iPad edition of this app for the review.
Now that we've hashed and rehashed our thoughts on the Dynamo Forwards, it's time to delve into
the vast quantity (and quality) that is the Orange Midfield. I know I said I was considering
splitting the Midfield into two groups, Wingers and Mids, but it is just far easier to do them
altogether. More after the jump.

What a fantastic game of football - I think I've just about managed to recover my breath. The
beautiful game doesn't get much better than this. I can't recall having watched a better match than
this in any league, cup competition or major final.
Last April, RoM were lucky enough to interview Nani at a Nike event in Manchester.
Our winger had just started to hit good form after looking like he was certain to leave a few
months previously.
Nani has continued with this great form, despite being frustrating at times, with his assisting
12 goals (highest in the league) and scoring 7 goals (16th in the league) in 20 games.
... is gonna be a real goodies day. But I can't start spilling just yet. I only tell you now to
make you go crazy with wonder all night, because I am a straight bastard.MWAHAHAHAHAHA!- Greg

Sorry I've been so scarce the last couple of days. I moved and had some interwebs headaches in the
new place. It's all sorted now and I have goodies. And several readers correctly complained that I
don't link my own stories as much anymore, so here I am to also do that, as well as adding a little
spicy flavor to one story in particular.
Guess what? Sagna joined twitter! All you technophobes are probably rolling your eyes... well
pick them up off the floor already and listen up. Having any of our players on twitter is great
because we get to hear directly from them about their lives, their matches, and all the other
behind the scene goodies.
A message from our friend Jared Montz at OnlineSoccerAcedemy.com :
I am very excited to announce publicly the OSA World Juggle-a-thon to benefit Nothing But Nets! The
team and I at OnlineSoccerAcademy.com and our event partners and volunteers have been working very
hard on this event for three months now.
Though puzzled by the frequent visual proof that footballers actually buy their groceries
themselves (rather than hiring imported servants and/or desperate peasants to do their manual
labour), we love seeing footballers doing the groceries.
For example, here's Manchester United's Dimitar Berbatov stocking up on H20 and other goodies at
Sainsburys in Wilmslow two days ago.

very hard on this event for three months now. It is off to a great start and we have a lot of
soccer clubs and professional players on board to participate.
