Project Valour-IT (birthday edition)

As mentioned in a previous post, the group Soldier's Angels has a fund raiser known as Project Valour-IT running through Veterans day. While all the donations go to the same cause the fund raiser is being ran as a team competition. I do not normally comment on non-soccer related items on this blog. While I have mentioned good causes to support in the past, they have all been soccer related somehow. This is a little different, no soccer involved but something I am supporting.There is a group known as Soldier's Angels. Recently, Robb Heineman asked Wizards fans to contact Kansas officials to lend their voice in support of the Wizards Stadium. A fan found these addresses and posted in the thread on Big Soccer. Marcia Williams has leukemia. She is the wife of Real Salt Lake player Andy Williams. The NY Times has a good article: In Search of Donor, a Soccer Player's Family Finds a Community .
