Just stumbled across this WAG gold and it would be remiss of me not to share.
Here's a suited-and-booted Sami Khedira looking very dapper in a DJ and posing alongside his
incredibly beautiful German model girlfriend, Lena Gercke the salient point being that the lovely

In his recent post on the loan system, my fellow blogger Lloyd drew attention to its clever
exploitation by Watford in recent seasons. Tom Cleverley was perhaps the best known of the Vicarage
Road lodgers but Ben Foster did strikingly before him, while Henri Lansbury and Andrew Taylor
also starred in gold.
Lionel Messi won his third Ballon D'Or this week. To celebrate he will be donning a very special
pair of boots for Barcelona's match against Real Betis this weekend. The customised adizero F50
boots have been produced in a celebratory gold colourway and feature the flag of Argentina, the
years of Leo's Ballon d'Or successes [.
There was good news coming out of the TFC universe today as Joao Plata left the loan category and
signed for Toronto. The deal was described as "multi-year" and no dollar amount was mentioned.
I like Plata, you have to admire the energy and dedication that he brings to the field. I am still
convinced that he should be used as a super sub more often.
As expected, the Columbus Crew signed two-time National Champion and Soccer America's College
Soccer Player of the Year for 2011 Ben Speas as a homegrown player. Speas won the 2010 College Cup
with the University of Akron before transferring to UNC and winning it again in 2011. Speas scored
the only goal in the 2011 final, winning the MVP award.
New York Knicks rookie bigman Josh Harrellson got the start on Saturday night and was really
impressive as the Knicks defeated the Sacramento Kings. He had 14 points and 12 rebounds, while
nailing 4-of-8 from downtown. In the fantasy basketball world, those stats look like gold for a
player available on the waiver wire.
Currently atop the German second tier of soccer, the 2. Bundesliga, with half of the 11/12 season
completed, Fortuna Düsseldorf has emerged as a leading contender for promotion to the German
Bundesliga at the end of the season. Here is a look at the PUMA home (red), away (black), third
(gold) and goalkeeper (yellow) kits [.

It didn't end the way we wanted, but, oh, what a season. As Adam Cann wrote in our match report
for Thurday night's loss in Houston, "After ten months, the Union ended their season where it
began. In their wake they leave every reasonable expectation, and in the city they represent they
will find nothing but love.

There's nothing like a bit of good old-fashioned visual comedy to brighten up these dark Autumn
evenings and Terek Grozny's medical staff are more than happy to oblige.
With goalkeeper Sosan Dzhanaev on the ground injured, the medical comedy duo began their
act.
Lauren Sesselmann (Green Bay Notre Dame) played the full 90 minutes at left back Saturday
night as Canada tied Brazil 0-0 in the final match of Group B play at the Pan American Games in
Guadalajara, Mexico.
The teams shared the group title, as both teams went 2-0-1 with four goals scored and one
allowed in three games.
David Beckham has admitted he is "amazed" by the number of offers he has had and believes he
can play on until he is 40.Becks is weighing up where to continue his remarkable career when the
MLS season ends on November 20.
In an interview with Telegraph Sport, he said he was seriously considering staying with Los Angeles
Galaxy but that if he did move, he would insist that any club he joins gives him a regular starting
place so he can realize his ambition of leading the British team to gold in next year's Olympics.

Why football's Rich List proves David Moyes is worth his weight in gold
There are some who question the credit that gets paid to David Moyes, who argue that he actually
achieves nothing. But when you look at the financial facts, at the reality of a man punching miles
above his weight despite having both arms tied behind his back, you see why every club looking for
a new manager should turn their gaze to Goodison Park.
The irony. Damn.
"Dat's what me t'ought!"
For those not in the know, my offering is a reference to this. Poor, I know. Anyway, let's see
what you got people.
I'm looking for some gold here. The photo deserves it.
Strikers fans made the trip to St Pete to support their team only to be disappointed by a 2-0 loss.
The Strikers played well, dominating certain moments of the game but the turning point was the red
card given to Cristian Arrieta. It was enough to change the tide and give Tampa an advantage that
proved too much for the Red & Gold.
Now this looks much more natural that that Solo v. Nash clip. Either LD and Lincecum have better
writers and a semester of Improv for Athletes under their belt or they were legitimately talking
sh*t with one another. Either way it's gold.
About a week or so ago, I started trying to plan what to write about for the next international
break. I got to thinking it would be cool to write about some of the young players coming up
through the Arsenal system. However, I wasn't sure where to start. I remembered that Martin wrote a
few blogs about certain players back in the day.
It seems a regular occurence over the last couple of years. Whether its just lazy journalists or
there is a real interest, at least a couple of times every year David Beckham gets linked with a
move to Spurs. Now with England's highest capped outfield player reaching the end of his LA Galaxy
contract in November, the rumours have started to gather pace again.
Jamaican superstar Usain Bolt gained compensation for last weeks
disqualification in the 100m World Championship Finals by taking gold in yesterday's 200m
equivalent, recording the fourth quickest time ever in the process with a time of
19.40, only the great Michael Johnson has run faster 19.
The University of Minnesota women's soccer team (2-3-0) lost a tough one to the Georgia Bulldogs
on Friday night in the Minnesota Gold Classic. The Gophers dominated the match in nearly every
aspect but the final result. Alexa Newfield scored the willing goal for the Bulldogs just 1:17 into
the first overtime to give Georgia at 2-1 [.
Joahim Low did not have to dig his nose to strike gold. Mario Gotze serves notice that he might
be the next best thing to Mesut Oezil who is already the best thing since Lukas Podolski, Miroslav
Klose, and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Then there is the small matter of Thomas Muller and Andre
Schurrle.
Gophersports.com (Aug. 31, 2011) The University of Minnesota women's soccer team returns to
Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium on Friday night for a clash with the Georgia Bulldogs in the
Minnesota Gold Classic. The two have squared off only once in history with the Bulldogs pulling out
2-0 home-field victory on August 28, 2009.
If you want to wait until the very end of your 2011 fantasy football draft to select your
kicker, that's probably a good idea. There is so much parity in kickers especially this year that
the quality isn't going to dip very far. In fact, you may strike gold with one of these sleeper
kickers in 2011:
David Buehler, Dallas Cowboys
David Buehler may have the strongest leg in the NFL.
Fulham FC wore their gold 2011/12 Kappa third kit for the first time during their English Premier
League meeting with Newcastle United on Sunday. Though not given a formal launched, the Cottagers'
11/12 third kit was used because the previously launched Fulham Kappa 11/12 home and away kits

Usain Bolt was about to win another 100 meter race. But, unfortunately, a stupid new rule got
him disqualified. Usain Bolt jumped the gun and was kicked out of the finals in a new rule that
took away the false start warning.
Hands down the best sprinter in the world if not the best track and field athlete of any kind
the Jamaican wasn't too upset after the disqualification.
Fulham wore their third shirt for the 2011-12 Premier League season for the first time today
against Newcastle United. Designed and manufactured by Kappa, the third shirt is gold colored with
a traditional collar. What do you think of the shirt...

The children of Triamsuksa School in Thailand have produced a piece of YouTube gold with this
brilliant tribute to, of all people, Celtic midfielder Joe Ledley.
I guess there is gold in them there hills - and flogging David Beckham one more time must make some
match-fixer a happy man.
But aren't we over this?
With the Matildas, Olyroos, The World Cup campaign and the A-League about to kick-off do we really
need a micky mouse show game again.

By Cesar Diaz – NEW YORK, NY (Jul 27, 2011) US Soccer Players – It's not often a soccer writer
gets the opportunity to speak with two World Cup goalkeepers with days of each other. A sponsor
provided the opportunity, with Allstate making current United States goalkeeper Tim Howard and
former US keeper Tony Meola available as part of their ‘Protection Is Our Game' advertising
campaign.
Remember a few weeks ago when I ran into Judah Friedlander, The World Champion, at a party? This is
what came out of it. Big man can move, right?
So let this be a lesson to all the young kids hustlin' out there on how this whole "networking"
thing works: you go to a party, have a drink with someone preferably more more juiced than you,
talk about work, and spin it in to Youtube gold.
Because sometimes you need something to listen to while you drink we present "FBM Drinkin' Songs".
This series will... ahem... explore the musical side of soccer and beer.
"Megan Rapinoe, I went to the casino, and put a bet on you..." opens this hilarious tribute song to
USWNT super-sub and midfield Megan Rapinoe (first seen on "The Shin Guardian")
We wish this World Cup would never end.
Following his release from Birmingham City, Lee Bowyer has been handed a one-year contract by
Championship club Ipswich Town. The 34-year-old had been linked with a return to former club Leeds
United earlier in the summer, but it is the Tractor Boys that have secured his signature on a free
transfer.
Vielen von Euch wird es genau so gegangen haben wie mir, als sie den Namen „Frida Gold" zum

nicht, dass [.
If you've been enjoying the summer soccer international action taking place over the last month you
may have seen the new PUMA v1.11 soccer boots (now available at World Soccer Shop) in action. The

the USA's run to the CONCACAF Gold [.

the win on Sunday, including the PK goal by Josh McCutcheon, and are provided by Duane Moses who's

Peter Harrison is refusing to give up the fight in his legal wrangle with Liverpool striker Andy
Carroll.
Peter Harrison, Andy Carroll's former agent, withdrew his case against him on legal advice at an FA
arbitration hearing last week.
But Harrison is now demanding a personal FA hearing over his claim that Carroll was in breach of
contract when he switched the handling of his affairs to rival agent Mark Curtis.
