remembered for the sour scenes in Genoa where the Ultras made their mark and disrupted the game
against Siena.

Lively weekend in Serie A, with amazingly only one game finishing in a draw (Parma-Lazio 1-1).
There were 26 goals scored this weekend in Serie A, with Napoli's 4-1 rout over Bologna the highest
scoring game. Only four teams (Bari, Genoa, Fiorentina, Udinese) failed to score a goal. Edinson
Cavani and Samuel Eto'o are still even steven at the top of the scoring chart with 9 goals each,
although Cavani has a chance to pull ahead because of Eto'o's 3-match ban.
There were 17 goals scored in Serie A this weekend, with only one 0-0 (Sampdoria-Chievo), and
the most popular score being 1-0 (half the games this weekend ended in a 1-0 scoreline). The
highest scoring game was Udinese's 4-0 thrashing of Lecce. Interesting to note this weekend that
two players, Antonio Di Natale and Javier Pastore, scored hat tricks.
There were 21 goals scored this weekend, which is funny because the preferred scoreline of this
weekend was 2-1: 6 out of the 10 games from the 8th giornata finished with a 2-1 scoreline. In
addition, teams were pretty strong at home this weekend, as only 1 team managed to grab an away
victory: Milan against Napoli (their first win at the Stadio San Paolo since 1998).

The first midweek round of Serie A has been played, which makes the programming schedule a
little bit different, meaning here's another post from the "Weekend that was" series, except this
one is "weekday that was". Serie A giants Brescia and Chievo are fulfilling their Scudetto
ambitions and have a near perfect start with 9 points each, while minnows like Milan, Fiorentina,
Roma, and Juventus are all struggling.

for Brest. 101greatgoals.com has a top ten list, with the goal of the week going to Pavlyuchenko
for being on the receiving end of Gareth Bale magic against Inter.
Wow, MLS is getting better and better. Some great goals scored this week! My vote goes to
Philly's Le Toux. His touch and finish was class. He made that look easy and it's not easy to
make it look easy.
