Roberto Mancini's nouveau riche Citizens just can't seem to put any decent daylight between them
and their Manchester rivals in the race for the title.
One of the neat experiences I've had coaching youth soccer is having a player who can do a flip
throw. We actually have two players on our 96 girls team that can do it, though one is a striker
and only throws in on occasion. The other is one of our starting defenders and was a competitive
gymnast before she started playing soccer.
The Sigi-bunker is in a worse state of disrepair than usual. TV screens looking down from the
rafters flicker on and off. The screen showing a loop of Kasey Keller smashing into a goal post is
the only screen 100% functional.
A computer terminal shows the disfigured face of Bruce Arena in mid-edit in Final Cut.
Hi everyone,
I has been widely talked that Sepp Blatter (FIFA's President) is planning to introduce goal line
technology as of next season.
At the moment, the system with ''additional assistants'' is being tested, where there are two more
referees added to the field of play. Each additional assistant stands next to the goal post, right
on the goal line, in order to see wheather the ball has crossed the line or not, instead of using
technology.
Tough to answer. Many people will be upset to see a Mexican goal against the U.S. in a championship
as goal of the year and possible best goal ever, but it is what it is. It's controversial to say,
but, there is an argument to be made.
So after a much awaited night of footballing action, i have to say i am very disappointed.
Disappointed because not only did Milan lose (which i was not expecting), but also because of other
shocking results across the continent.
Before i get into the Chelsea game, i just want to give my 2 cents worth on the Milan v
Barcelona tie.
Humiliation happened at Old Trafford as 10 men Manchester United were shockingly demolished by
their city rival, Manchester City 6-1, marking Sir Alex Ferguosn's worse home defeat in his United
career.
Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko both grabbed a brace in the match, while the other goals were
scored by Sergio Aguero and David Silva, giving a big boost for Man City's campaign in attempting
to win the Premier League this season.
Could this be the turning point in the La Liga title race? The league has barely made past the
10 game mark and it would be presumptuous to think that Real Madrid will win the title, however,
Barca's slip up at home on Saturday, gave Los Merengues the opportunity to leap the
Catalans into first place in the League thanks to their 4-0 win over Malaga.

I doubt I was alone in feeling that the first away victory for FC Dallas was never going to come
this season. Going in the Saturday's match in Frisco, there was a general feeling of optimism
amongst the traveling Dynamo fans that this would be the day the team finally broke through. Turns
out, that feeling was correct, but it wasn't easy.

The second goal is always the hardest.
The Union ran ragged over a lethargic Real Salt Lake side in the first half but only Keon Daniel
put his chance away. It came back to haunt them home team when Fabian Espindola drove home the
equalizer in the 53rd minute.
Time to beat the Blaugrana..
The football-ing world has been buzzing with excitement. A contest that will be relished by
everybody is in store. We here at 11G are just as excited about the Champions League encounter as
any of you fans out there. Yes! Barcelona is coming to the Emirates; again.
Reading through the growing number of regularly updated football blogs, I'm always amazed at the
work-rate and dedication of their authors. I can barely keep up most days with the updates in my
RSS reader, and the stuff I read tends to be consistently detailed, well-written and
insightful.
A More Splendid Life hasn't ever quite met that standard, for a number of reasons.

Man Shitty and Anti-football go hand-in-hand
In what was deemed to be a top-of-the-table clash between two of English football's current
front-runners, it turned out to be a faux pas of sorts. Pundits, punters & general public like you
and me, all had huge expectations from the game.
