You could watch the World Cup '98 classic between Oranje and Argentina instead. Part 1 of 13...-

ATTN: Those near Phoenix this week!!The USMNT is holding an open training for fans, Friday from 5-6
pm at the University of Phoenix. They generally don't even allow us scribes to watch that - maybe
15 minutes near the end. Plus, Klinsi will address those gathered to kick off the hour.If you are
not yet a US Soccer Supporter's Club member, go here to attend the practice session.
The 2011 Generation adidas tour team will be special guests at the key Ajax v Real Madrid Champions
League Matchday 6 tilt tomorrow night. I will be talking to a couple of those MLS rising stars
before they head down to the game, and then more throughout their stay in the Netherlands. And just
to tantalize you a little further, tomorrow's Postcard From Europe subject is none other than
white-hot
Come talk to me about Oliver Kahn or Gianluigi Buffon when they have their own trivia tribute corn
maze like Kasey Keller does.- Greg Seltzer
No commentary needed, really. MLS goes sky high.- Greg Seltzer
Some dude made Arrested Development-world in Legos all on his own. Check it out. - Greg Seltzer
I've been down in the labooor-a-tory working on a pet project monster Postcard for tomorrow, and it
just suddenly hit me that I forgot something yesterday in all the Bradley/Egypt excitement.
Fortunately, we have a banquet of tasty taters to make you forget my oops... Have you ever thought
to yourself "Gosh, I wonder if there is a Swiss Keisuke Honda out there somewhere"?
I'll do my best not to take credit for the idea. I will, however, reserve the "I told you all so"
right for when it works wonders. Aaaaaand there will likely be a little dance - something Chris
Turk-esque, I'm thinking. Don't believe me? Go ask Barcelona how it's worked out for them while I
start rehearsing this dance.
Every once in a grand while, I catch something non-soccer that is so cool, it has to go up at NSC
anyway. It just has to.This, my friends, is one of those times.- Greg Seltzer
Another of the great things about Ajax is the way the club and the team cycle everything back
through the kids of Amsterdam - the enthusiasm, the instruction, the style. It's much of how the
city keeps producing players like Sjaak Swart, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Kluivert, Urby Emanuelson
and Gregory van der Wiel.
I generally take pretty good photos. My selection from the Ajax celebration, though, are not good
enough for you all. To be frank... they suck on a relative basis. I only managed to get there just
as the team bus was pulling in and vantage point was not in my favor. And then, the beer stand ran
out just as I go to it.
I was going to get this up yesterday, but was waiting until the Goodson clip surfaced. It has, so
in case anyone missed it, let's drop a beat for Chuck D.- Greg Seltzer
I just came across this outstanding video compendium of Dennis Bergkamp's Ajax years. From now on,
if someone asks how, when or why I came to be Ajacied in the blood or to rate The Non-Flying
Dutchman as my football hero (or even questions how I view the game in general), I can simply share
this clip.
With not much of stateside interest going on with matches today, it seemed like a good time to ruin
your productivity with some tube...Let's kick off with a quick Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah howdy-do.
By the way, do say that previous sentence out loud a few times - it almost tickles.Wanna get inside
Vancouver's franchise-opening day derby win?
As so often happens with NSC pal Grant Wahl, I'm a little ticked I didn't think of it first. Sheer
brilliance, my man. Need any cabinet members?- Greg Seltzer
You may remember our EPL Celeb Supporter Cool Table, but I have found that I missed one. The good
news is that the inexcusable omission of Idriss Elba did not keep a deep Arsenal "team" from the
"crown".I must confess, I have yet to see The Wire (please notice I said 'yet'). But I am the
biggest RocknRolla fan you'll find, and also loved this guy in American Gangster and The Office,
even The
