Liverpool can't continue their hot streak and end up with their eighth home draw of the
campaign, failing to take advantage of a Spurs side that were lacking in both personnel and intent.
With the success of the past few weeks creating a healthy dose of optimism this one's got to be
chalked up as a disappointment, and worrying in that Liverpool yet again failed to capitalize in a
match that mostly looked like theirs for the taking.
Didier Drogba to the Chicago Fire. I'm not sure how it even started but now we are really
getting into absurdity.
Chicago Fire confirm talks with Chelsea's Drogba
Thanks for the big headline Tribal Football. On yesterday's conference call, Chicago Fire head
coach Frank Klopas did say all of the following: "Drogba?
Fernando Torres has been the focus of press and media attention ever since he signed for Chelsea.
He scored 81 goals in just 142 games for Liverpool and everyone expected more of the same here but
it hasn't happened. Everyone is asking questions, people are beginning to turn and doubt Torres but
I am posting this because I for one believe in Torres.
There is a glimmer of hope amidst the sea of negativity that Arsenal have been swimming in
recently. Some players are close to making their return after serious injuries. Of course, as we
have seen with Wilshere recently and with others in the past, getting hopes up when it comes to
injuries and Arsenal is not a smart choice.
Peruse the Sunderland fan forums and you'll find quite a few optimistic fans. Despite our brilliant
form of late, following our defeat against Stoke, Sunderland's win against Blackburn and the
appointment of Martin O'Neill, a few of the Sunderland fans genuinely think they will win this
match and that
"Spurs ain't all that" and
"we've just been built up by sky and the media
into thinking we're something we're not".
ProsSo, the first pro is fairly obvious - hilarity. It's always funny to watch United lose, especially
in Europe where Fergie's ability to influence referees is less pronounced. The fact that they were
served up one of the easiest CL groups I can remember makes it even funnier.
Manchester United third choice goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszchak has launched a blistering attack on
his employers accusing them of slavery.
And I bet anyone of you reading this would love to become a 'Slave' if you were to earn anywhere
near his £30,000 a week?
Kuszchak (29) who spent the last four years as Edwin Van Der Sar's understudy without actually
stepping up to the plate with performance's to match his obvious big head has fallen behind Anders
Lindegaard and David de Gea in the pecking order is desperate to leave Old Trafford before January
to enhance his chance's of making Poland's Euro 2012 Finals squad had this to say:
"I've become a slave to Manchester,".

Kuszczak begs for his freedom
Poor old Tommy Kuszczak the Polish goalkeeper has slipped down the pecking order at Manchester
United, and now finds himself behind David De Gea, Anders Lindegaard and even Ben Amos.
Eager to stake a claim for a place in the Polish squad for the Euro 2012 finals, Kuszczak was
hoping to move to Leeds United on loan until the end of year, but according to the 29-year-old, Sir
Alex Ferguson blocked the move.
Tomasz Kuszczak has again spoken about his frustration at not being allowed to leave Manchester
United following options to join other clubs on loan.
Towards the end of last season, as United battled to claim that 19th league title, Kuszczak
spoke to the papers about his desire to leave the club and become a #1 elsewhere.

With the news just released today that the WPS has officially terminated the former Washington
Freedom franchise now known as magicJack is their now a glimmer of hope for fans in the D.C. area
that a return of the Freedom may be in the making?
Dan Borislow did respond to the Washington Post about the termination of his team: Read
his response here
WPS Press Release:
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (October 26, 2011) – After careful consideration, the Board of Governors of
Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) voted on Tuesday to terminate the Boca Raton based magicJack
franchise.
Bottom of the league and calling for the managers head. Devastating depression is what springs to
mind flicking through the posts on the Rovers forums. With protests planned before and after the
game, some reckon it could get dicey around the stadium should Blackburn suffer a heavy defeat,
with some predicting carnage on and off the pitch.
Join the guys on another depresseing edition of the UnitedManis.com Podacst. Special guest Chris
Riordan of Majorleaguesoccertalk.com joins in to talk about United's collpase at the end of another
season and DC's glimmer of hope to make the post season...
As we wind down to the final weekend of the 2011 MLS Regular Season the race for the Eastern
Conference regular season title, and the No. 1 seed that comes with it, is wide open. Four
different teams have a chance to clinch the top spot in the East.
Right now the front-runners are Sporting Kansas City and Philadelphia.
The call for youth to reinvigorate a national squad every two and four years must be included in
the standard guidebooks for both managers and football association officials on what to say in
response to failed attempts at qualification for a big tournament. Just the previous summer after
Green's Gaffe and Germany's show of youth in revolt, England supporters received an earful from
Fabio Capello through his suddenly atrocious grasp of the language and delivered an annoyingly
vuvuleza-like din themselves about how the only way forward for the Three Lions was in bringing
more youth into the senior side.
Ok, the headline may sound strange. But given his act of petulance against Montenegro will have
ramifications on England's preparations for next summer, it may force England into a beneficial
reshuffle.
At time of writing Rooney is set to miss just the opening game of the finals in Poland and the
Ukraine, though that could be extended to two or more.
Bolton's misery continues

Not so long ago Daniel Sturridge was helping Bolton Wanderers climb the league, his
return to north left The Trotters firmly at the bottom.
After surviving the shock of falling a goal behind to their League Two opponents, struggling
Arsenalcame back to beat Shrewsbury Town 3-1 and comfortably progress into the fourth round of
the Carling Cup at the Emirates Stadium.
The visitors stunned the Emirates crowd after 16 minutes when James Collins's bullet header beat
Lukasz Fabianski, and a major upset looked to be possible.
Couldn't find a reliable stream in the bunker at an undisclosed location last night, so no reaction
piece to United's 1-0 loss away to KC. Watching the condensed match wasn't much help save that
Willis looks a reliable #2, we backpass too much, we carry no threat without De Rosario, and any
match where we're looking to Ngwenya to save us is an automatic loss.
So, how much stock are you taking from the statistic 'Ipswich Town have lost two out of
three games'?
At the risk of stating the obvious, it's not a great start! And if you include the fact that Town
have already been dumped out of the Mickey Mouse Cup, it looks even worse.
Klasnic rolls away after finishing the performance
And the Whites go marching on, on, on through their preseason with an impressive showing against
Bradford City AFC at Valley Parade in front of 295 Wanderers supporters among the 2,943 in
attendance. The 4-1 scoreline provided Bolton with their third consecutive win this preseason.
So often in major international tournaments, the knock-out stages are where the rot starts to
set in, even though they are supposed to be where the tournament ‘hots up.' Thankfully, the 2011
Women's World Cup quarter-finals were more hot than rot. In truth, although the group stages
produced a lot of watchable football, they lacked a bit of bite and intensity at times.
We're still here!
We continue our comprehensive coverage of American soccer culture with our series "Better Know a
Supporters Group," just like Steven Colbert's "Better Know a District" from "The Colbert
Report".
Our goal: to feature each of the MLS teams' supporters groups.
UEFA U21 Championship - Denmark 1:3 Iceland
"No jocund health that Denmark drinks today" - Hamlet I.ii
'The History of Danish Dreams' was the 1988 novel which launched
Copenhagen's Peter Høeg
onto the world's literary stage, but tonight in Aalborg dreams of
making history became nightmares as Denmark's U21 team was eliminated as host
nation after a demoralising 3-1 defeat to Iceland.
The Gunners ended the season with relegation form – 2W,3L,6D – in the final eleven games of
the season. The fact that this form came straight after a horror fortnight that saw heartbreak in
all the Cup fixtures, including the Carling Cup final, means that even the most positive of Gooners
are finding it hard to sustain the faith.
The weather hasn't been the only thing gloomy around Seattle these days. With Wednesday's loss
to FC Dallas, it appears that many of use who make up the Seattle Sounders fan base have turned on
one another. Finally, though, there appears to be some good news: Brad Evans and Alvaro Fernandez
should be available for Saturday's against Real Salt Lake.
Dortmund fans celebrate winning the 2011 German Championship ("Deutscher Meister 2011″) with a
massive choreo. Frankfurt fans celebrate winning the self-awarded and newly invented 2011 German
Riot Championship ("Deutscher Randalemeister 2011″) without a choreo but some flares and a
banner.
Sunday's 2-1 defeat by Manchester City summed up West Ham's season for me as the Hammers once
again failed to pick up points a scenario which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Barclays
Premier League title with just three league matches to go. Sitting here writing this article, I
still feel that West Ham will survive, but I have felt like this all season and yet with just 3
games left, they do still prop up the table.
By JOHN BOSCHINI
There were no surprises in Wednesday's UEFA Champions League quarterfinals as Real Madrid and
Schalke used virtually insurmountable leads to carry them into the semifinals.
Tottenham's European dreams came to an end with a 1-0 defeat (5-0 on aggregate) to Real Madrid
at White Heart Lane.
The last ten days have been encouraging for England there's certainly no lack of competition
for places throughout the squad, even though the general feeling about Sr. Capello is that the
sooner he's replaced the better. Richard Smith takes an overview of the recent
games.
So, after the debacle of the captaincy change and England's latest two matches against Wales in
the Euro 2012 qualifier last weekend and the friendly against Ghana at Wembley in midweek, how far
exactly has England come in the past nine months in terms of putting away their world cup nightmare
and moving on?
Break internazionale is finito. I cannot be the only one who is overjoyed by that sentence.
Shouldn't play.
It's been a long ass while since the mighty Blues of London have taken the field in an official,
competitive capacity. A week and five days to be exact.
That felt...awesome.
When we got the draw a few weeks ago, I thought our Cup run was over before it began. We hadn't
beaten Spurs in the Cup since Queen Elizabeth, or something around then. Harry Redknapp actually
takes this competition seriously, and the match date wasn't close enough to Spurs' Champions League
duties that we could catch them distracted.
Ahead of our big FA CUP clash at Goodison Park tomorrow here is the view from

As an Evertonian I am in no way looking forward to this game. Things off the pitch are taking over
for us at the minute. We are absolutely skint, will not (by the looks of it) be making any
additions to the squad.
The best part of post-draft analysis is that everyone's opinion may be right. Hometown fans are
usually very optimistic and begin that glimmer of hope that this coming season might bring them a
championship.
Since nobody can prove my opinions wrong (yet), here is my take on the "super" winners , losers and
highlights of the day.
10 points in 11 games, the best response to me seemed to go into hiding, pray and return when
the sunshine breaks through the looming clouds. However, Let the records show that my official
excuse for my absence has been insane travelling around the country. It's true, I have tickets to
prove it.
Australia has been granted the rights to host the 2015 Asian Cup.
Another great benefit of being in Asia and gives us a glimmer of hope should we fail to qualify for
2014 World Cup. The game never stops now does it?
But can we deliver quality pitches....we can't consistently for the A-League.
