Good news everyone!
The remainder of the Dynamo's local TV deal has finally be revealed and it's all about Fox
Sports Houston and FSHouston Plus....more importantly, all broadcast will be in glorious high
definition. Happy dance time!
"This agreement with Fox Sports Houston, coupled with our overall television package, creates
the strongest broadcast situation in club history," said Dynamo president Chris Canetti.
Having now had time to digest the news Kris Boyd rejected an offer from Houston Dynamo that Dom
Kinnear and the front office worked on diligently only to later accept a reportedly
hastily-assembled one from Portland Timbers, it's time to flesh out possible reasons why. Granted,
there's still a bit of acid reflux felt by some fans of the Naranja, but at least getting a first
round draft pick out of Portland soothes the situation like Pepto Bismol.
With the Houston Dynamo's preseason well under way, it's not surprising that last night's Dynamo
All Access with Glenn Davis on Sports Talk 790 in Houston featured interviews with Geoff Cameron,
Dominic Kinnear, and Eddie Robinson. If you missed last night's show, you can catch up via the
podcast:

STORY OF THE DAY
Reuters with an article on the record profits in the German Bundesliga for 2011.
-Also the highest average attendance in the world at 42,000+ per game.
Judging by the general content of the comments around here (and in other places), the main
concern going into the 2012 Houston Dynamo season is that team has dipped in quality with the loss
of Brian Ching and Danny Cruz. The fear seems to be that we are in for yet another long season of
middling to above average results with the possibility of a serious drop in form.
Glenn Davis on Dynamo Player Acquisitions and Trialists
Some interesting info from Glenn Davis. Most notable the name of one of the trialists (and
intriguing fellow), and a quick poke at the Boniek Garcia rumors. Keep hope alive 2012!
Remember when, in the wake of a guy who posted a video himself screaming "nigger" at a Revs
player who had scored on a penalty kick in the dying minutes of a game at Columbus Crew Stadium,
MLS Rumors claimed Columbus Crew supporters chanted things like "Sieg Heil," "White Power" and
branded their groups with fascist symbols?
Glenn Davis, the Houston Dynamo's local play-by-play voice, also does a weekly radio show in
Houston dedicated to both the Dynamo and the sport of soccer. Last night was his first show since
Brian Ching was selected by the Montreal Impact in the Expansion Draft. Dynamo defender Geoff
Cameron and head coach Dominic Kinnear were both guest on the show and had some interesting
comments concerning the Ching situation.
STARTERS
I really really really DISLIKE the idea of an unbalanced schedule for MLS next season.
-If you play more games against your biggest rivals then each game means a little less, not
more.

The game against Portland which will tell much of the tale of the rest of this season is Friday.
But if you'd like to get a quick view of hos vice-captain Brad Davis is psyching up the 2011 Dynamo
ahead of that game, check out the above video of the players touring Dynamo Park yesterday
afternoon.

I'm in a poll sort of mood. This should have gone out sooner, while the flames were hot, though now
the numbers may reflect a more grounded response. Here's the transcript, provided by Ginge's
earlier post:I know a lot of fans have been doubting, but they're not fans to me.
In the second hour of Glenn Davis' Dynamo All-Access from , head coach Dominic Kinnear had some
interesting comments to make unprompted by any question or comment from Davis.
I've transcribed his comments from the show:
"I know a lot of fans have been doubting, but they're not fans to me.

All I can say is thank whatever deity you like that the Houston Dynamo have just gotten deeper
than they were, say at this time a couple of weeks ago. Check out this injury list for Saturday's
clash with the Chicago Fire:
HOUSTON DYNAMO -- OUT: FW Calen Carr (concussion); FW Brian Ching (L rib separation); DF
Jermaine Taylor (R foot sprain); MF Francisco Navas Cobo (R hamstring strain); MF Danny Cruz (R
knee hyperextension); MF Lovel Palmer (L lower leg tendinitis)
Now Carr, Ching, Cobo and Taylor are unchanged, but adding Danny Cruz and Lovel Palmer to the
list creates an interesting hole on the right side of midfield.

Following the Houston Dynamo's 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps this past Sunday, I caught
a bit of Glenn Davis' post-match radio show in which he made some comments indicating he was pretty
certain there would be some Dynamo roster changes before the close of the MLS transfer window.
Apparently, Davis made a few other comments earlier this week that got the folks at Dynamo Theory
and SBNation to start snooping around.

HEAD-TO-HEADALL-TIME: First meeting.
Despite having a fundamental agreement in place with Atlas, the Dynamo were turned down by
21-year old midfielder Edgar Pacheco who decided not to come to MLS. It's another dissapointment
for the front office who have spent the past months chasing several big names players in an attempt
to find a player to help make both and on and off field splash for the team.
After posting my review of Carlos Ruiz's debut with the Philadelphia Union, there was a lot of
discussion amongst readers and staff alike as to what Ruiz's proper 'punishment' should have
been.
Houston Dynamo broadcast Glenn Davis believes that Ruiz should have received a red card based
upon prior infractions that the Guatemalan striker has picked up over his career.
