"There wasn't a game I wanted to win more this year than that one tonight and I'm really happy
our guys went out felt the same way and took care of business," says Boswell. He goes on to state
that it was revenge for the ugly 4-2 loss in Montreal earlier this season.
New Dynamo DP is having an easier than expected transition from the Honduran League to MLS. He
has already help set up a goal and has played "well on both sides of the ball" in three 90 minute
shifts. (MLS Soccer)
Jonathon and Eddie discuss the upcoming home stand, players returning from injury, and DC
United.
First heard this on Glenn Davis' program last night. This is a little paean to the Houston
Dynamo from the Roots of Exile, a local Houston band. Something to get you fired up ahead of the
game tonight. You can find more of this over at the Brickwall Firm site "Brickwall Stompers."

An Glenn Davis article with tidbits on Cameron and Oscar Boniek. OBG "is likely to debut this
Saturday against the Philadelphia Union." While the "rumored transfer fee" for Cameron is "between
2 and 2.5 million." (Glenn Davis Soccer)

Thanks to a reckless red card to Benitez, a lucky goal from Bruin, a Moffat laser shot, and
some luck Houston beats F.C. Frisco and retains El Capitan. (Houston Dynamo)
"While Dallas' runners were finding space behind the Dynamo defense, Houston eventually got a
hold on the pace of the game.
A match preview from the Houston Dynamo website for today's game against the Scorpions. If
Houston wins they will play the winner of Dallas/Charlotte. (Houston Dynamo)
Dynamo reserves will get a chance to shine this week with a USOC game against San Antonio and
an international friendly against Valencia.
Last week the Houston Dynamo franchise was feeling the love as numerous media outlets in both
the United States and outside of the United States gave positive reviews to the team's new stadium,
BBVA Compass Stadium, and although the positive reviews were important they would ring hollow if
the Dynamo failed to deliver when they hosted DC United for Saturday's inaugural match.
The Houston Dynamo's extended away tour to start the 2012 MLS Season came to an end with a 1-0
loss to RedBull New York last night in Harrison, New Jersey. Wednesday's loss gave the Dynamo a
2-3-2 record to start the season. While many Dynamo fans would have liked a couple more wins, or at
least a couple more draws, the team's goal was to pick up at least 7 points during their first 7
away matches, and they achieved that goal.
One of the main rules of the Intertoobz is that thou shall not repost, (or cross-post or go
postal or something like that. I've never been very good with rules.). However, this one is
something I noticed today, and put over on the comments thread of the previous post about the third
kit, as well as on the DT Facebook page.
Twitter user and Dynamo supporter extraordinaire @nobius posted this pic tonight of BBVA Compass
Stadium and it was just too durn beautiful not to share.
As a point of interest, the pic was taken across Texas Avenue from the stadium in one of the
parking lots that, according to an ordinance passed today by Houston City Council, will be Tailgate
Central for Houston Dynamo games.
The Houston Dynamo just released this video today of last Saturday's 4-0 win over SMU, the
team's first with Brian Ching back in the lineup. The Captain mentioned on Glenn Davis' program
last night that Brad Davis told him he thought this might be Dynamo's most technical-oriented squad
ever.
Houston Dynamo past and present has been on parade over the last week. On the same day the
reigning MLS MVP Dwayne De Rosario inked a new deal with DC United, the person those of us with an
Orange persuasion consider the real 2011 MVP is back at work.
The Houston Chronicle is reporting that Brad Davis has been cleared by doctors for "all soccer
activities.
The remainder of the Dynamo's local TV deal has finally be revealed and it's all about Fox
Sports Houston and FSHouston Plus....more importantly, all broadcast will be in glorious high
definition. Happy dance time!
"This agreement with Fox Sports Houston, coupled with our overall television package, creates
the strongest broadcast situation in club history," said Dynamo president Chris Canetti.
Having now had time to digest the news Kris Boyd rejected an offer from Houston Dynamo that Dom
Kinnear and the front office worked on diligently only to later accept a reportedly
hastily-assembled one from Portland Timbers, it's time to flesh out possible reasons why. Granted,
there's still a bit of acid reflux felt by some fans of the Naranja, but at least getting a first
round draft pick out of Portland soothes the situation like Pepto Bismol.
With the Houston Dynamo's preseason well under way, it's not surprising that last night's Dynamo
All Access with Glenn Davis on Sports Talk 790 in Houston featured interviews with Geoff Cameron,
Dominic Kinnear, and Eddie Robinson. If you missed last night's show, you can catch up via the
podcast:
Dynamo all access 1 30 2012 Hr 1: Geoff Cameron joins Glenn on the show to talk about the
National team and his performance.
Judging by the general content of the comments around here (and in other places), the main
concern going into the 2012 Houston Dynamo season is that team has dipped in quality with the loss
of Brian Ching and Danny Cruz. The fear seems to be that we are in for yet another long season of
middling to above average results with the possibility of a serious drop in form.
Prior to the start of the Philadelphia game, I was thinking about Giles Barnes' performance against C.D. FAS in the CONCACAF Champions League and his interview with Glenn Davis last week. He mentioned to Glenn his preferred station on the pitch is central attacking midfielder. Since Houston fielded a 4-4-2 that night, we got to see how Barnes can impact that role.
With the signing of Boniek GarciÌa announced this morning, Jonathan Kaplan of HoustonDynamo.com
talks with Dynamo Analyst Glenn Davis on the potential the Honduran star can bring to the team and
how he'll help improve and continue our run towards the playoffs once again.
Glenn Davis on Dynamo Player Acquisitions and Trialists
Some interesting info from Glenn Davis. Most notable the name of one of the trialists (and
intriguing fellow), and a quick poke at the Boniek Garcia rumors. Keep hope alive 2012!
