Interview with GOLTV’s Lindsey Dean

Bundesliga Talk 28 August @ 12:56 PM EST

Lindsey Dean of GolTV was kind enough to speak with me about the Bundesliga.  Those of us in America will know Lindsey as the voice of Hallo Bundesliga, the league's review show on GolTV.  Lindsey is originally from Maine and grew up in New England; however, he enrolled at the University of Copenhagen in 1977 at the age of 19.

Wolves got off to a perfect start, while their old boss Magath is right behind them

Soccer Pie 18 August @ 04:04 AM EST

Werder took a point from Alianz Arena (1:1) and if we are to judge from the play, the visitors deserved to take three points. 69 000 people at the sold-out stadium in Munich saw German international, Turkish-born Mehmet Ozil open the score minutes before the break. Mario Gomez was the one to level the score 73 minutes into the game with the assistance of Phillip Lahm.

Bundesliga kicks off

Soccer Pie 11 August @ 09:23 AM EST

After a two and a half month break, the new season in Germany started without many surprises. Current champions Wolfsburg managed to crush Stuttgart's resistance at crowded Volkswagen arena and celebrate 2:0, thanks to Misimovic and Grafite.

Bundesliga will this season be playing in two different terms each Saturday and Sunday.

Bundesliga 09/10 Season Preview

SoccerLens 05 August @ 02:32 AM EST

A couple of more days and the new Bundesliga season will be in full swing. I waited too long this summer, already got used to last year's shorter summer period after the Euro 2008. Worst, there was only very little exciting transfer activity in the Bundesliga.

Bayern decided for some reason to pay 30M Euro for Mario Gomez, Werder bought Marin from Gladbach and the Bundesliga lost in Diego one of its biggest stars.

Kleines Happy End

Bundesliga Blog 25 May @ 04:34 AM EST

Crunch Time for 'Gladbach

U.S. MNT Blog 22 May @ 06:49 PM EST
One more game for Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach and the club can count itself in for another season in the Bundesliga. Gladbach are three points ahead of Arminia Bielefeld and have super goal difference of four goals. A tie (or anything better) by 'Gladbach against visiting Borussia Dortmund will keep Bradley and his teammates safe. Click to continue reading...

Doktor Fussball 22 May @ 09:14 AM EST

Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Great Last Minute Escape

The Offside: Bundesliga 14 May @ 12:18 PM EST

When it all comes down to it, it doesn't matter how they did it.

There wasn't all that much football on display in Borussia Mönchengladbach's last two matches against Schalke and Cottbus, which of course wasn't Gladbach's fault alone. Schalke can control a game and dominate possession, but they can't really score goals or come up with a minimum of creativity and incentive.

Wednesday Results

U.S. MNT Blog 13 May @ 04:54 PM EST

Today Rangers fought back from a goal down, salvaging a point against Hibernian. Maurice Edu again played the full 90 minutes for Rangers, who are ahead of Celtic at the top of SPL on goal differential.

Gladbach: Renewed Interest in Onyewu

Letters From Vagabondia 15 April @ 09:55 AM EST
Its been awhile since we've had some gratuitous transfer rumors about Standard Liege defender Oguchi Onyewu so let's fix that right now.
Kicker is now reporting that Michael Bradley's Borussia Moenchengladbach, which tried to acquire Gooch last winter, has renewed its interest in the 26 year-old Onyewu with a view toward picking him up on a free transfer this summer. Click to continue reading...

Gooch to join M. Bradley's team?

The Beautiful Game (2) 15 April @ 05:44 AM EST
That one in Germany that Michael Bradley plays for.
Borussia Mongleddenbach (that was me trying without looking).
Borussia Monchengladbach (that's the actually team, not bad eh?).
Here's the meat of the story with some Belgian website as the source. Gooch's contract is up after this year and he's not renewing so as to test the market. Click to continue reading...

Bundesliga Winter Break Review: Borussia Mönchengladbach

Borussia Mönchengladbach Rank: 18th Preseason prediction: 12th What was I thinking? Gladbach entered the Bundesliga having won the 2. Zwei Routiniers und ein Talent

Bundesliga Blog 22 December @ 12:51 PM EST
Click to continue reading...

Ist Meyer wirklich der Richtige für Gladbach?

Bundesliga Blog 08 December @ 09:52 AM EST
Midweek Action: Bradley Starts for BMG

Yanked Around 28 October @ 03:33 PM EST
Michael Bradley started today for Moenchengladbach against Wolfsburg and he did not perform well.  He saw little of the ball, and when he did have a chance to score he provided a poor finish.  To make matters worse, in the 54th minute Bradley's lazy marking on a set piece led to Wolfsburg's second goal as [. Doch der Meyer

Bundesliga Blog 19 October @ 05:15 AM EST
Hans Meyer, also doch. Gut. Click to continue reading...

Mein VfL
