U-20 Meninos Try On New Clothes

Alan Kardec, Douglas Costa and Giuliano are the three musketeers ya'll should be looking out for in the selecao. Granted, they didn't bring home the U-20 World Cup trophy, but thankfully, they have a pretty awesome sense of humour to make up for it... although Giuliano needs to stop showing off his body.

The ball and the title gets away from Alan Kardec and Brazil

Scoreless after a turgid 90 minutes, Brazil and Ghana went to extra time and then penalties in the Under-20s World Cup final in Cairo on Friday. Brazil failed to capitalize after Addo was sent off in the first-half and their lack of invention and drive was to cost them when the game went to a sudden death shootout.

The FIFA U-20 World Cup wrapped up on Friday, October 16, 2009 with the championship and 3rd place matches. In the 3rd place match, Hungary faced Costa Rica while Ghana v Brazil was the final. Both matches would end up going into penaly kicks. Here's a recap of both alon gwith video highlights.

The match was dominated by Brazil for most of it but they failed to find the back of the net.

Brazil's Under-20 team take on Ghana in the World Cup final in Cairo on Friday.

Rogério Lourenço's side are unbeaten in the tournament and will be at full-strength. Giuliano, Paulo Henrique Ganso, Alex Teixeira and Alan Kardec have impressed for Brazil and the presence of these four makes the South Americans favourites to take the trophy.

Inter threw away a two goal lead as São Paulo came back to earn a 2-2 draw at the Beira-Rio last night.
Alecsandro who was recalled to an Inter side which saw both Taison and D'Alessandro dropped, scored twice in the first half to give Inter a healthy advantage.

Internacional crashed to their first Brasileirão defeat last night as Adriano led Flamengo to a 4-0 victory at the Maracanã. The former Inter Milan striker grabbed a hat-trick to leave Inter empty handed from what was another unconvincing Colorado performance.

Internacional have made it through to the 2009 Copa do Brasil final after Coritiba were unable to turn around a 3-1 deficit from the first leg.
A 1-0 victory to Coritiba at the Estádio Couto Pereira saw the tie finish 3-2 to Inter on aggregate. Under pressure for much of the game, Inter relied on the impressive Lauro to keep Coritiba and finished the match with ten men after Bolívar recieved his second yellow card late on. The match was an opportunity for Inter to field players who had not featured heavily so far in the first team this season.
