"I'm god, I'm always right about everything", this speech was hold by Louis van Gaal in the

Down two goals after just four minutes, Arsenal mounted a furious comeback at Standard Liege to
capture an improbable 3-2 victory on the second day of Champions League group stage openers
Wednesday. Eduardo cost Gunners the first goal with a miserable clearance off a corner, but made
good for his mistake by scoring the winner nine minutes from time.

Filippo Inzaghi scored goals on either side of halftime to secure a vital away win for AC Milan on
the first day of Champions League group play. With the 2-1 win at Olympique Marseille, the
rossoneri keep pace with Real Madrid, who easily won their game at FC Zurich by 5-2. Milan were
outplayed for large portions of the game, according to at least one report, but with the way things
have been going, they'll take it.

So, after months of speculation, it seems that Emmanuel Adebayor's departure from Arsenal is
inevitable. With Manchester City's spending spree the talk of the town at the moment, the asking
price of £25 million, which was once astronomical for clubs like AC Milan, seems to be pocket

As we approach the one year anniversary of the Top 25, the Soccer Source ranking committee was
faced with arguably our toughest task yet: deciding this week's #1. The identity of the top club
was of course cast into doubt after last week's #1 was outplayed and outcoached for large portions
of yesterday's game, which came against a team that did not even field its best player.

The rankings are back after a one week delay, due to an executive member of the ranking committee
being on holiday. With the national teams taking center stage this weekend it allowed us some time
to catch up. While the top quarter of the table didn't change much, there was ample movement in the
middle third.

French midfielder Johan Micoud, whose contract with Girondins Bordeaux has expired, wants to join a
Major League Soccer outfit, according to somebody with direct ties to the player and his agent. The
34-year old last year completed his second stint for Bordeaux. His 16-year professional career also
included stops at Parma and (probably most famously) Werder Bremen after starting at AS Cannes back
in 1992.
