When the starting lineup was unveiled for the Columbus Crew season opener against D.C. United
one name was conspicuously absent.
That name was Robbie Rogers.
Young midfielder Dilly Duka was given the start in place of Rogers and the development left

You hear that? It's the sounds of Major League Soccer returning for a night. No we're not
talking MLS preseason here, its all about the CONCACAF Champions League as Real Salt Lake travels
east to face the Columbus Crew in the first leg of their quarterfinal battle.

Real Salt Lake and the Columbus Crew will play their first meaningful game in almost four months
when Crew Stadium opens its doors for the first leg of their CONCACAF Champions League
quarterfinal.
The Crew isn't being given much of a chance, considering the offseason moves the team has made
and the amount of injuries that have piled up during the MLS preseason.

Real Salt Lake is set for a sudden start to its 2011 season with Tuesday's CONCACAF Champions
League quarterfinal first leg against the Columbus Crew (8 p.m., Fox Soccer Channel).
Its preseason training abbreviated by its CCL obligations, Real Salt Lake's need for its players
to start training camp in shape and with a sense of familiarity was that much more important.

PHOENIX, Ariz.
For those outside Seattle and Toronto who can consider the Columbus Crew in a context other than
what city you think the team needs to relocate to, there's been quite an upheaval at Ohio
Fairgrounds Soccer Park this winter. Technical Director Brian Bliss and Coach Robert Warzycha have
taken the torch to the Crew's roster, leaving only 10 players from the 2008 Championship team.
