Galaxy Fans Tell Beckham How They Feel

Soccer Tickets Online 20 July @ 10:10 AM EST

It was always going to be an interesting game. David Beckham's first game of the season against the team he played for this winter. Would the Galaxy fans embrace Beckham or would they be upset at how he treated them and MLS this winter?

From the banners around the sold-out Home Depot Center it was pretty apparent before kick-off how the Galaxy fans felt.

Hicks & Gillet could be here to stay

My Anfield 21 June @ 04:04 PM EST
These guys are both businessmen, and they didn't get to where they are in life by being completely stupid. Gillet is after selling his stake in the NHLs Montreal Canadiens for $440m. Hicks is also looking to sell some of his US assets. What this means is that both of them look set to be cash rich.
Hicks & Gillet should be smart enough to realise that LFC without the new stadium is a severly undervalued asset. Click to continue reading...

What does Parry’s departure mean for Liverpool?

SoccerLens 27 February @ 05:14 PM EST
Great article from Matt Ladson at thisisanfield. And he's right- there isn't really anything that makes the position of the club and the fans any clearer. One thing's for sure, and that's that things couldn't really stay as they were for much longer. Bill Hicks seems to have been pulling out all the stops in [. Click to continue reading...

Adebayor is going nowhere and Arsenal are in the market

Oh To Be A Gooner 20 July @ 04:33 AM EST
A greatly weakened Arsenal side were victorious over Barnet at Underhill yesterday. The Gunners celebrated a 2-1 victory thanks to second half goals from Jay Simpson and Nacer Barazite. Gael Clichy's mate Kenny Gillet scored Barnet's only goal. It was a very relaxed affair, with the tempo and tackling kept to a minimum. Click to continue reading...

Barnet 1-2 Arsenal + Wenger reaction+Rosicky to miss start+ Denilson+Clichy on Persie

Blog on Arsenal F.C. by an Indian Gooner 19 July @ 11:14 AM EST
Finally some relief from transfer speculation that had driven me crazy to the extent of checking each and every website or blog for the slightest hint regarding a possible transfer news. Alas, The Great One, answered my request and arranged for the first pre-season friendly against Barnet at Underhill Stadium . Click to continue reading...

More PR stunts for LFC fans

My Anfield 25 June @ 04:37 AM EST
Gillet and Hicks have announced that contractors will commence enabling work on the new stadium site very soon (LINK). There's absolutely no mention whatsoever of them securing funding for the new stadium.
So this 'enabling work' is certainly open to interpretation (digging a couple of holes). Given their track record with the promises they make us, I can't help but lean towards a pessimistic (pragmatic) view of this latest announcment. Click to continue reading...
