Other than the ghost of Banquo Frank Lampard appearing behind her after a late-night boozefest
at Whisky Mist, we've not had any formal proof that Frank Lampard is dating presenter Christine
Bleakley.
However, over the last few weeks, many "sightings" of the couple have taken place and "sources"
have come forward with details of such events.

A few years ago a film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar called The Grudge came out. I won't lie, that
film scared the shit outta me. There's a part when this little Japanese woman/ghost crawls out from
under the duvet and it petrified me. I couldn't sleep for days.
Why are you mentioning The Grudge I hear you ask?

SHORT SCRIBE OF THE GAME
The first thing you noticed at the ground was the heavy security at the stadium.
Given the stakes were high and big crowds were expected that the organizers had decided to
segregate both groups of fans from one and other.
And like most games played in Kallang in the recent years, it would always be the away fans that
drummed up the atmospher (Why are we the passive lot?

The 26th round of Brasileirao smiled to Palmeiras again. The side headed by Muricy Ramalho
increased the lead to 5 points over the second team, and sees the title getting closer. Besides the
great victory, Sao Paulo and Inter did not win again.
On Saturday, Palmeiras received Atletico-PR.

Andres Iniesta is off vacationing in where we're going to say is his hometown, Fuentebella, because
again, that's where he always goes.
Anyway. Doesn't he look like he's having a lovely time with his girlfriend, Anna? They're too cute.
And he's too pasty. Will nothing get this boy's skin to darken up just a little bit?

Uneven, unpredictable, and utterly bonkers: This round was typical Tippeliga, for better or
worse.
In Oslo the derby-ghost remains un-busted as VÃ¥lerenga failed to overcome a
Lyn team possibly powered by the paranormal. Mad Martin's merry men held a 1-0
lead going into half time after a decidedly dull first half, but then in the second it all exploded
into insanity, and after strange things had happened in both ends of the pitch the score at full
time was 4-4.

More midweek madness in the Tippeliga as Molde try to keep up with Rosenborg, Mad Martin tries
to hold on to his job for a few more days, Lyn try to keep the derby-ghost alive and Viking try to
be less terrible at football.

Molde (2nd) - Tromsø (12th)

Beauty v. The Beast. This match had a bit of everything. Physical football, fluid passing, gripping
suspense, missed chances, penalty calls missed one after another and the charming Didier Drobga
losing the plot.

It wasn't a league match, or even an official U.S. Open Cup match, but the Red Bulls will gladly
take their 2-1 U.S. Open Cup Play-in victory over San Jose. Especially after Sunday's
heart-breaking loss to D.C. United.
Head coach Juan Carlos Osorio rested several starters on Wednesday night, allowing his bench
players to make their cases for more playing time.

Fabio Aurelio today insisted no-one at Liverpool is yet ready to give up the ghost on this season's
Champions League dream despite last night's first leg setback at the hands of Chelsea.
Guus Hiddink's side ran up a 3-1 lead to take back to Stamford Bridge for next week's second leg on
a night to forget for the Anfield men as a brace of headers from Branislav Ivanovic and a Didier
Drogba strike from close range cancelled out Fernando Torres' opener.

After Argentina's historic loss to Bolivia, Maradona will have to re access his strategy & players
when playing in high altitude locations. In Bolivia, he completely underestimated the forces of
nature and the soccer abilities of the Bolivians. He, however, will soon get a chance to redeem
himself when they play Ecuador on June 10th in Quito (2,850 m/9,350 ft) the second highest capital
city after La Paz, Bolivia.

It was a good win for Celtic over the weekend against Kilmarnock, but it didn't come without some
controversy. They were comfortably leading 2-0 in the 80th minute when Shunsuke Nakamura was
tackled from behind by what looked to be the ghost of Christmas past, resulting in a penalty.

When is a goal not a goal?
When it didn't go between the posts maybe?
Unless you are Nigel Bannister of course.
Reading's 'ghost' goal has been blocked on YouTube by the FA, although I did mange to find this. A
copyright issue apparently.
A moral dilemma then for the Reading players and management team.

Well, the window's over, and I've little desire to write about how Manchester City is going to take
over the world and has signed Pele, Garrincha, Cruyff and Beckenbauer or how Hicks and Gillett are
furiously rubbing two pennies together in the hopes they'll multiply.
But I do want to make sure everyone's aware Carragher has an autobiography coming out
(ghost-written by the excellent Brian Reade), and parts are being serialed in the Daily Mirror.

Every time young Nick got the ball, he had to look down towards his new feet and told them what he
wanted them to do. Sometimes he succeeded but most times they just did what they damned well
pleased. Nick was very proud that by the end of the match, they started to listen to him and his
right foot actually scored a goal after Nick told it to do just that.

The US women have made their way to the Olympic final, with a chance to get revenge for last

With a hiccup against Japan in the opening match aside, the US has looked pretty solid throughout

If you are surfing to this blog, you probably saw the USA squeak by Japan 1-0 to open up the
Olympic tournament for the Stars and Stripes. A fair result could have been 2-1 for Japan, which
created more dangerous chances than our boys and demonstrated more fluid passing and coherent
defense.
I'll delve into this more later but here are a few quick bits:
