The news that PPL Park will be host the 2012 MLS All-Star Game means that Philadelphia will be
the host of a major pro sport All-Star event for the first time since the NBA came to town in
2002.
Today we have another London derby, with perhaps not quite not the intensity of those against
the team from the wrong end of Seven Sisters Road, but a derby game none the less.
Welcome Queens Park Rangers
QPR were founded in 1882 by an amalgamation of St. Judes with Christchurch Rangers, many of
whose players came from the Queens Park area of north west London, hence the name.

Well what a relief that that has been cleared up. Apparently the Defoe goal was disallowed
because of a foul committed by Pavluychenko in the fixture played back in Greece in September. Or
perhaps for a foul by Graham Roberts in our '84 UEFA campaign. Or maybe it was Mackay back in '61.
Well, whatever the incident, it was definitely a foul.

Having been a proud shelfside season ticket holder from the tender age of six, dating back to
the somewhat successful (for the Gerry Francis era) 1994-95 season, my first Spurs game must have
been a 2-0 home win against Everton off the back of 'that' game away at Sheffield Wednesday.
'That' game saw the introduction of perhaps Spurs' greatest ever player, and in turn the
introduction of a goal celebration that had mum's all over the country fuming and 'Vanish' and
'Daz' shareholders laughing all the way to the bank.

So the answer to my question 'Can we keep those three fit until the end of the season' (see
below) was a rather simple 'no'.
Poor old Cesc and his recurring hamstrung hamstring. The timing couldn't have been worse but
what can you do? If he hadn't played we mightn't today be just a point off the top and had the
'string not gone last night then it might have gone after 20 minutes on Sunday.

I didn't write a match preview for yesterday's FA Cup forth round tie at Fulham mainly because I
had a bad feeling about it. I'm not being Mr I Told You So after the event and I didn't for one
second think we'd get our asses handed to us in the manner we did but I thought it would be a
tricky tie, won by the odd goal in 3.
