It's always a thrill to write about the next generation of footballers, especially Gerard Deulofeu, a playerwith paramount potential and expectation, the boy which the city of Barcelona endlessly and eagerly talks about. He's another talent shooting through theillustrious‘La Masia' school and due to his game, the Messi comparisons only became natural.

track & an eye on 18 year old FC BARCELONA player GERARD DEULOFEU. Gerard Deulofeu The "kid" is
possibly the best placed future promise at Barça & perhaps in Spanish Football. Deulofeu has been
calling the attention throughout the lower levels & is progressing in an extraordinary manner.
Once a nobody, once irreplaceable and now an uncertainty. At the age of 24, the forward
from Tenerife has played over 160 matches, kissed all the trophies and set a record which Messi
didn't, becoming the first player in history to score in 6 different competitions in one
season.

David Villa scored on a header midway through the first half as Barcelona beat Mexico's Club
America 2-0 in Dallas.

This is 14 year old Spanish wunderkind Gerard Deulofeu. Not sure why he's a wunderkind as he's not
even remotely German. Maybe because he's got blond hair? He's actually Spanish, and is currently on
Barcelona's books. But not for long, if either Chelsea or Arsenal get their way. How pissed would
Barcelona be to lose yet [.
