After Saturday's capitulation to lowly Bolton at the Reebok 3-1, Kenny Dalglish openly criticised
his players for their attitude and performance in the defeat, even claiming that heads will roll
after that display.
Well Kenny, it was an abject display by the team, a team you largely assembled yourself.
It's a fortress, but there's just too many draws...Liverpool were
held to another draw at Anfield yesterday as they struggled to get anything past Tony Pulis's Stoke
side. The Potters played in their stereotypical way and whilst they would have been extremely happy
with the point Liverpool were left frustrated.

Liverpool 3-1 Newcastle United: Skipper Returns To Help Sink Magpies
Steven Gerrard's return from injury continued as he came off the bench to help inspire Liverpool
to victory over Newcastle United. The talismanic skipper produced a wonderful half-hour cameo as
his goal combined with a brace from ex-Magpie Craig Bellamy moved Liverpool into fifth place.
David Anderson's Big Match Verdict: How Newcastle have exchanged false prophets for real

The Toon Army were determined to have a laugh last night. In addition to the obligatory

Poor Steve Bruce is a victim of geography
Football management is a bit like ancient Rome. Once the mob turn against you, then it's only a
matter of time before some little Caesar in the boardroom gives you the down turned thumb. Steve
Bruce didn't stand a chance when he took over at Sunderland because he's a Geordie.

Venue: Old Trafford, Manchester. Date: Saturday 26 November, 2011 Kick-off: 3.00pm. Referee: Mike
Jones (replaced Phil Dowd). After such a great result was over-shadowed by the deeply sad news of
the death of a true Geordie Legend, Gary Speed, I've found it very hard to commit to a match
report. It's with a heavy heart [.
The league leaders visit Anfield tomorrow, unbeaten in their first twelve matches and having
dropped only two points. It's been a blistering start domestically for Roberto Mancini's squad,
which is packed with talent and has been nearly faultless in blowing by their opposition to this
point.

The Magpies travelled up to Yorkshire that morning knowing they had the opportunity to well and

English Football League record.
George "Geordie" Armstrong died of a brain haemorrhage after collapsing on the training field 11
years ago on the first of this month. He was a year younger than me and joined the club as a
17-year-old, two years after I had first claimed my permanent place on the terraces as a
15-year-old. He was my first footballing idol and was to be associated with the club on and off for
39 years.
Luis Suarez was the man expected to need time to settle when he and Andy Carroll arrived at
Liverpool in a £57.8million double swoop in January.
Yet he hit the ground running, while Carroll is still struggling to find his feet.
Suarez's dazzling form for Liverpool is in total contrast to Carroll's woes and the England striker
has found himself in and out of the team as he struggles with injuries and inconsistency.

THFC1882 present Gareth Johnson's reflections on Spurs draw at Newcastle:
They say time is a healer, hence me writing this review having had a small period of reflection.
We nearly had them. It was nearly the perfect victory. It nearly made me smug. It just about
devastated me.

For the discerning Geordie in your life, prized from the roof of the East Stand at St James Park
and slapped straight on Ebay via the club's official account at least, we hope it's there official

The return of Steven Gerrard to the Liverpool first team has been
understandably met with excitement from Reds fans. With the skipper back in the fold, Liverpool
have one of the best players in the Premiership back on their teamsheet.
However, the question is being asked in some quarters as to where exactly Gerrard fits into the
Liverpool team.
LFC back to winning ways
Liverpool 2 Wolves 1 Premier League. 24 September, 2011. Anfield FOOTBALL loves its clichés and
there were plenty that could be brought out for this one so little point holding back. The "one man
team" tag will probably be used – Luis Suarez again standing out.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has been backed to bring the best out of England striker Andy
Carroll by Newcastle United goal-scoring legend Alan Shearer.
Dalglish has already leapt to the defence of his £35 million striker after his lifestyle was
criticized by England head coach Fabio Capello and Shearer has insisted that his fellow Geordie is
in good hands with the Anfield boss.
For those of you who do not know Ray Hudson, he is the color man on GolTV's American broadcast
of La Liga matches. To put it bluntly he is out of control, bat-shit crazy. A Geordie by blood,
Hudson plied his trade with Newcastle in the 1970′s before moving to the NASL for the rest of his
career.

Gareth Johnson is a rare breed ... a born and bred Geordie .. and a Spurs supporter! "It has to

31st January 2011 was an eventful and stressful day for Newcastle United forward Andy Carroll.
He started the day as normal, still being Newcastle's main front man. He ended the day making a
£35 million pound move to North West heavyweights Liverpool. The 22 year old Geordie had left his
home city and his boyhood heroes and set up on a new adventure with 18 times league champions and 5
time European champions Liverpool.
After last night's Minnesota Stars victory over the Puerto Rico Islanders, assistant coach Carl
Craig brought his team over to the Stars supporters (Dark Clouds) to thank the fast-growing
supporters section by singing them a song. Craig, who grew up a Geordie supporting his beloved
Newcastle United, is well versed in supporters songs and evidently he's been teaching a few of them
to his team.
Let's start with some statistics. Last month's 3-0 win over Manchester City seems a good
comparison: both matches were at Anfield, against top-six opposition, and had Carroll in the
starting line-up.
Time of Possession
v Tottenham: 54-46%
v City: 53-47%
Good start.
