Returning from the winter break, Sacha Kljestan and Anderlecht will welcome KAA Gent to Brussels for the second leg of this Belgian Cup quarter final match-up.
Sacha Kljestan took his regular place in the starting eleven for Anderlecht on Tuesday, in a 3-1
win over Gent at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium. Their lead at the top of the SAS-Ligaen table
is now nine points. After falling behind seven minutes in, Milan Jovanovic scored twice for
Anderlecht, with Matias Suarez adding the third goal.

Jozy Altidore was the difference for AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday, scoring both goals in the 2-2 draw
with Twente. Altidore opened the scoring in the third minute, with Twente equalizing in the 31st.
It was Altidore again in the 70th minute, with Twente coming up with the equalizer in stoppage
time. In Belgium's Jupiler League, Sacha Kljestan and Anderlecht beat Mix Diskerud's Gent 4-1 in
the playoffs.
Mix Diskerud is the latest hero for Rosenborg, pushing the club into the Europa League group stage.
With games against fellow American Terrence Boyd's Rapid Vienna, Germany's Bayer Leverkusen, and
Ukraine's FC Metalist looming, let's learn a little more about Norway's biggest club. Why Are We
Here? After making 81 appearances for Stabaek, Mix Diskerud went on loan to Belgium's Gent in 2012.
Stuff should soon be going down, so let's go ahead and take a gander at some of my hand cards...
Mix Diskerud may soon have a new team. He'd probably stay with Stabæk if it would help them stay
up, but the smart young man also realizes that he's probably the strapped club's most sellable
item. As is, I'm told four clubs are duking it out battle royale style at the moment.
Anderlecht midfielder Sacha Kljestan fired home the second via free kick in their 4-2 victory over
Belgian holders Genk (not to be confused with Mix Diskerud's Gent, as can easily occur). The clip
may take a while, but it'll surface sooner or later.- Greg Seltzer
Mix Diskerud might be changing addresses, but he won't be leaving Norway after all.
The former U.S. Under-23 men's national team midfielder signed a deal with Norwegian club
Rosenborg BK that runs through the end of the year on Thursday.
At long last, it appears that Ricardo Clark has an opportunity for consistent playing time.
Clark's parent club Eintracht Frankurt and Norwegian club Stabaek agreed to terms on a deal that
will have the U.S. national team midfielder on loan until July 31.
New Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to strengthen the club's attacking options for the
upcoming season and is believed to have earmarked young Belgian winger Dries Mertens for this
purpose.
The Belgian international moved from Utrecht to PSV Eindhoven last summer and stunned fans by
adjusting quickly to life at the Philips Stadion.
Al Gore invented the internet for a number of reasons; none of them were more important than
broadcasting Jamie Carragher's accent to the world, especially when impersonated by others.
The gent on the left, Darren Farley, has obtained immense notoriety for his Liverpool
impersonations in the YouTube era, and rightly so.
You might remember Wieden + Kennedy from those Nike World Cup 2010 adverts, or, you know,
television in general. They're back at it again for the Euros ahead of the Euros, but with a
distinctly global flavor.
The only thing to say would be this: it's brilliant and it's best enjoyed in HD, full screen and
before the final cut if you're a heterosexual gent, because no, not really hungry for more
Cristiano in a belly shirt, thanks much.
At first this appears just the standard photo of an appropriately zealous fan of the Iranian
club Piroozi, full with what appears to be Medusa's vuvuzela. And upon viewing the next photo you
realize...
That cacophonic monstrosity is designed to fit right in between his missing front teeth.
Those are what shall forever be known as Busquet eyes.
The gent is Brahian Aleman of Defensor Sporting that there is irony and he is, to put it mildly,
a diver extrodinaire. Ascending not only to the Diving Hall of Fame, but to the Jacques Cousteau
Wing, housing busts for the likes of Drogba, Gilardino, Ronaldo, Pederson and the aforementioned
Busquets.
Who knew Wolves Wigan would have the best scene of the EPL weekend?
Some bolder than thou Wolves fan sauntered into a March of the Cantaloupes and charged
scores of Wigan fans. Presumably he had a decent reason. Or was reasonably sauced. One of those.
Even better, all the Wigan fans run away.

You may recall some months ago that Corinthians locked Adriano in a hotel and gorged him on
nothing but cardio and salads, like some footballer foie gras, but with the intent of treating the
fatness and the liver. This, much like most of Adriano's career, didn't work and he was released
from his contract with Corinthians recently.
Ricardo Quaresma is sort of the quintessential flashy footballer. The type of gent whose game
translates better to YouTube and the video game of your choice rather than a pitch of appropriate
measure. Turns out his lifestyle is equally as flashy. He was the victim of an armed robbery this
morning, of things which were on his person.
Mario has a little fun with Citeh's official photographer. Or makes her job infinitely harder.
One of the two tis a matter of perspective. She seems a good sport, however.
(The gent at the very end seems to have something in his hand and be walking back toward her.
Which means employment, which is good.
The likes of John Terry, Nile Ranger and well, many many more eejits haven't done much for the
image of the professional footballer in recent months. However, Arsenal's Polish goalkeeper,
Wojciech Szczeny, showed a rather better side of his profession recently in a north London
restaurant.
Apologies as we're a little late getting to this one, but Kortrijk striker Dalibor
Veselinovic's corking overhead kick goal against Gent in the Belgian top flight last Saturday is
definitely worthy of a repeat viewing.
Watching Veselinovic's goal in real time is the best way to appreciate its spectacular glory
(though slow motion works just fine too), I mean, would you just look at the angles and
trajectories involved?
For reasons unbeknownst or cared about by anyone other than himself, Piers Morgan has continued
in his po-faced attempts to rile Gary Lineker using his entirely flaccid 'thorn in the side of
celebrity culture' Twitter mumblings and found himself, once again, subtly yet
completely and utterly owned by MoTD's velvety host.
Oslo-born American international Mikkel Diskerud may be on the move before the close of the
transfer window with Gent of the Belgian Pro League the likely destination.
