Found this list online, here, and thought it was interesting. Good for Spurs and Villa fans at
least.
The list is correct as of 17/11/09.

I've been quietly impressed with Carlo Ancelotti since he began managing Chelsea. He has a
quiet, unassuming way about him which suggests he takes his football seriously, while avoiding the
pretentious nonsense of many other top managers ('mind-games' etc.).
This presentiment was confirmed a little today, after Chelsea's first loss of the season away at
Wigan, 3-1.

I think my favourite part was at the end, when he says, "I'll be truthful, I don't
understand it. If I go to watch football I watch football, I watch the game, why you've got be
shouting abuse and giving people abuse for I don't know, there's got to be something wrong with
you".

Richard Dunne went on record today having a bit of a go at Manchester City for
how they handled his transfer to Aston Villa. He says they lied to him. What was it they lied
about?
Well, apparently they told him that they needed to sell him to 'balance the books': "They
told me they have a certain amount of money they have to recoup each season to make things look
better on the books".

Just found a very interesting article on The Guardian website discussing this very
issue. The author opts for the strict definition of a 'volley', which is not simply when a
player "strikes the ball in the air", but when they "strike the ball in the air before it
has bounced" put strictly: "a volley occurs when the ball is struck having not bounced since being
touched by the previous player".

As an Arsenal fan, I was very pleased with the teams 3-1 victory over Celtic and the
Emirates on Wednesday night. I was not however pleased with Eduardo's blatant dive which resulted
in a penalty and the first goal of the game.
FIFA have now repsonded to this by declaring that they will punish Mr da Silva with either a
fine or a match ban.

What an enjoyable sight we all witnessed last night! Was it the sight of Torres opening his
account ?? Erm no! Was it the sight of Defoe banging in a hat-trick at Hull, most definitely
not!!! Was it seeing Liverpool shut up all those people who have been jumping on the "its all
over for Liverpool this season" bandwagon, maybe!

So the season is here again and after the first weekend of fixtures there is already so much to
talk about. Performance of the week has to go to the Arsenal. Although Everton did not turn up
on the day I don't think anyone would have predicted that the Gooners would travel up the M6 and
dole out a slapping of that variety.

1. Chelsea
2. Man. Utd
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal (just)
- Man. Utd have failed to properly replace Ronaldo, and have a much weaker forward line this
year. Liverpool don't seem to have the strength in depth or the strength of manager to win it
(though they may prove me wrong).

How the fudge are they going to fit all of these into a football side, or even on the
bench?

Two days ago, I logged on to the BBC news website to see an article that I have longed
for for quite some time. Cristiano Ronaldo has finally left Manchester United and the
Premier League for a sum of around 80 million to play his football in Real Madrid. He will now be
playing his superb football, mixed with a heavy dose of diving, whining and general prickishness,
amongst the La Liga crowd along with the new signing of Kaka.

Wilson Palacios flew back to Honduras yesterday to be with his family after the remains of his
brother, who had been kidnapped back in 2007, were found and identified 150 miles from the nation's
capital. This is why he missed Tottenham's game against Everton.
That is obviously awful news for him, but listen to this:
Palacios heard the news about his brother at 1am on Saturday morning in the club's hotel in
Liverpool, after getting a phone call from his family.

I've just returned from watching the Liverpool Arsenal league at Anfield and had one of
the weirdest experiences of Arsenal supporting life. I was actually a bit gutted when Arsenal
scored.
But first, to the game itself. It was superb. The whole game was back and forth and both
teams looked like scoring.

I was sat in the pub around 2:20pm on Saturday, watching the Spurs vs. Blackburn game. It was
1-0 to Spurs, and while our goal had come from a rather dodgy penalty, we had bossed the whole
game, and we could have easily been 3 or 4 up. I was imagining how my next blog entry on Seven
Sisters Road would be a wonderful narration of Spurs' revival since the Carling Cup final defeat to
Man.

Harry Redknapp proves he is one of few managers still in touch with the real world, telling the
press:
"It looks worse than it is. I get brilliantly paid for a good job, it's easy to get up each
morning. Pressure? People in this game don't know what the word means. Pressure is driving a lorry
up and down the motorway 12 hours a day.
