Sickening is how I would describe the Kung Fu kick meted out by Jonny "The Hitman" Evans of Man
Utd against Drogba of Chelsea last Sunday. But lets be fair, Man Utd have included Kung Fu inÂ
its training ever since Cantona was accused by a Shaolin Master based in Moss side Manchester ofÂ
having poor technique in his kung fu kick pictured above.

Back to League action tomorrow with the visit of Birmingham City. Let's hope the international
break hasn't disrupted the momentum that was building before the players scattered for the World
Cup qualifiers. We need three points in the bag. Manuel Almunia is said to be "50-50" for
availability for selection.

I am returning to the subject of Alex Ferguson's comments and analysing his apology placed upon
the official Manchester United Website
"I apologise to Mr Wiley for any personal embarrassment that my remarks may have caused and
to The FA for going public with my views.

OK no TGIF for two weeks due to International duties, and I thought that today I would discuss
non Arsenal matters on and off the field. The most obvious topic that gets me hot under the collar
is what I perceive to be FA bias towards SAF. Sir Alex Ferguson manager of Man U. Now I have in the
past called the FA the Ferguson Association for they seem totally unable to act with any kind of
authority against him.

The intent of this article is not to focus once more on Adebayor and his antics against our
players and supporters at Eastlands. Rather, I wanted to write this piece in response to the
ridiculous myths that have now become entrenched as "facts" with regard to the Gooner Nation in the
aftermath of not only the events of that game, but also the series of incidents that have generated
negative coverage of Arsenal supporters in the last few seasons.

In a similar vein to the 1990 book of the same name this is an account of my favourite year,
part one.
Brighton & Hove Albion Second Division 6th place (losing Play-Off finalists) FA Cup 4th round
League Cup 1st round.
Albion 1990-91 (wearing the worst kit of all time)
The motley bunch above, wearing the lurid pink strip, looking like some Gay World Cup side, is
the team from my favourite ever season, 1990-91.

Despite the pathetic attempts of mark Hughes to distract people from the main point of issue,
and in an effort to draw a line under the incident on the Manchester City Website, the authorities
have taken a stance which indicates they will be making an example of Adebayor.
Mark Hughes said:
"There has been much discussion over the weekend regarding the various incidents in
Saturday's game which is understandable, Emmanuel Adebayor sustained a tremendous amount of
personal abuse from the kick-off but strongly maintains that there was no malice intended in the
challenge on Robin Van Persie and apologised to him when he hugged him on leaving the field of play
at the end of the game.

With all the recent media attention on Eduardo he can expect to get an earful assuming he plays
or is on the bench tonight at Wembley for Croatia against England.
Elsewhere Arsenal players are dotted around the globe playing for their various national teams
in World Cup qualifiers. We can only hope that all return tomorrow and Friday unscathed and
fighting fit for our visit to the City of Manchester Stadium (artfully titled "the Council House"
by fans of the red half of Manchester) to play Citeh.

The improvement in technology for caused the music industry to suffer for not adapting to the
digital revolution. Now, after also taking newspapers, film and television in as victims, football
is next. In particular, English football. The English Premier League is refusing to adapt to
improvements in Broadband speeds and the increasing popularity in internet streaming and
peer-to-peer streaming.

It's almost pre-season and at last today there is something of substance to write about. The
Barclays Premier league 2009/10 campaign kicks off with Arsenal playing away at Everton on 15th
August on the first weekend. The first home game would have been against Bolton, but having
finished fourth, there is the none too simple matter of a Champions league Qualifier to deal
with.

Finally, Christiano Ronaldo, World and European Player of the Year, is looking set to become the
most expensive player in the world and get his dream move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid. The
Spanish club have offered ÂŁ80 million to Manchester Utd for the player, which Utd look to have
accepted as they have allowed talks with their player.

It was quite a season, 2008/09, with possibly the tightest challenge for the title in many a
year. Even the battle for relegation was tight for up to ten clubs until the last few weeks of the
season, and few would have predicted that outcome at the beginning of August 2008.
The previous season, Manchester Utd had won the premiership title and scraped the European
Champions League final.

A disappointing result against the ‘appy ‘ammers on Saturday. We really needed all
three points. I was mildly encouraged by the performance though. We lacked a cutting edge up front
and Emmanuel Adebayor still seems to be suffering from his Samson problem. Since he cut off his
locks he hasn't been the player he was.

Shakespeare's Hamlet Act 3 Scene 2 is when Queen Gertrude is challenged by her son as
having remarried after his father's death with a degree of ease which contradicted the apparent
intense devotion prior to this event. It suggests that the protests are so loud that the
sincerity of the emotion is called into question.

It was Jane Addams who said "The essence of immorality is the tendency to make an exception of

Recently several players have had to suffer the anger of football fans. Adebayor has had to suffer
this treatment and one could argue that the fans indulging in this kind of behaviour actually do
more than attack one player, they also encourage the opposition and therefore harm the interests of
the team as a whole.
