IFK Göteborg won 2-1 against FF kalmar, thanks to a suberb goal from Tobias Hysen which was
immediately hailed by some commentators as the goal of the season. It's some finish, but not quite
that good, as Kalmar goalkeeper Petter Wastå will want to look at his positioning, but well-taken
all the same from IFK's midfielder.
As July ends so does the ability for Swedish teams to acquire new players. The Swedish transfer
window closed this past Tuesday, which allows us the opportunity to review the most significant
Allsvenskan signings. It's been a fairly interesting shopping window for the Swedish clubs with a
few foreign additions as well as one major move between Allsvenskan clubs.
The draw for the first qualifying round of the Europa League took place this earlier on today.
Included in the draw where last years winner of the Fair Play League, Motherwell, and Scottish Cup
runners-up Falkirk.
Motherwell wont have to travel too far for their two games. They've been drawn
against Welsh side Llanelli, while Falkirk will play
Vaduz of Liechtenstein at the second qualifying stage.
In a brief moment of clarity I once wrote that I will avoid making predictions because doing so
will eventually offer proof that I have no idea of what I'm talking about. While I was smart enough

The following entry will present my predictions for the fall season in Allsvenskan.
With the nineteenth round upon us we're likely to see some shuffling both in the top and the bottom
of Allsvenskan. IFK Göteborg and Helsingborg will enter an extremely important head to head game
that is set to jumble the top five. All top five teams seem to have an equal shot at the gold at
this point and regardless of the results in this round no team should fall out of contention.
Alejandro Bedoya went the distance for rebro in a Monday night win over Gefle while Etchu Tabe
scored for Ljungskile, but it went to waste in a Friday night loss at Vasby.
