only fade in the summer. In 2009 it was Chivas USA who was just that club as they went 7-2-3 to

Esta noche Rayados ganó un partido clave y con ello prácticamente se instaló en la Fiesta
Grande del Fútbol Mexicano, lo único que lo podría impedir es que Monterrey perdiera los 2
partidos siguientes y que Pachuca los ganara por goleada para superar la diferencia de goles de La

Los días de Raúl Arias en el rebaño sagrado terminaron más rápido que lo
que tarda un niño en acabarse su paleta.
Los malos resultados, la pésima forma de jugar y las pocas variantes al frente además
de la malísima forma de defenderse fueron suficientes para que Jorge Vergara y la

Looks like we have the most entertaining game of the playoffs so far on display here this
afternoon in Carson.
The upper deck has filled in nicely, too, which means a good walk-up (must be the quality of
those previews this morning).
This game has threatened to spiral out of control a couple of times, with the fast pace
contributing to errors in the middle of the park.

The biggest rivalry in Major League Soccer will have its first playoff installment today when
the Los Angeles Galaxy faces Chivas USA in the first game of their Western Conference playoff
series (5:30pm, ESPN2).
The Galaxy enters as the No. 1 seed in the West, and this series will feature David Beckham's

Rayados tiene que volver a la senda del triunfo, las tres derrotas en forma consecutiva duelen,
aunque digan que dos ellas fueron partidos amistosos, son derrotas y calan.
Dice Vucetich, técnico de Rayados, que la gira fue muy productiva, y no lo
dudo, por que les dio oportunidad de alinear a jugadores que han tenido poca actividad en el
torneo, incluso pudo ver en acciones jugadores de la cantera, eso es muy bueno.

This was clearly a match between two teams going in different directions. Chivas was starting guys
like Maicon Santos, Jesus Padilla, and Yamith Cuesta - all who joined the team in August and have
already claimed starting jobs. They haven't been afraid to bench their veterans like Razov,
Galindo, and Marsch and have instead sought out better players.

A typically, tight derby although both teams exchanged chances, especially in the opening 15
minutes. Chivas USA ended up out-shooting the Galaxy 8-3 though, which had Bruce Arena up off the
bench and pacing early.
Both sides served up too many aimless long balls or inaccurate crosses, however, something that
was emphasized when Maykel Galindo was sent through twice in quick succession just before the break
with low, purposeful balls.

The move started from a Cary Talley corner in the 32nd minute.
The ball came to Jesse Marsch on the other side of the penalty area who lobbed in back in.
Maykel Galindo nodded it toward goal where a lurking Kljestan had the simple task of tapping it

Cruz Azul sumaba seis meses sin ganar como local, pero llegó el "levanta muertos" por
excelencia del Fútbol Mexicano, es decir, los Rayados de Monterrey y lo "resucitó" al son de un
2-0.
Rayados no jugó mal el trámite del partido, por muchos lapsos fue dominador, pero como casi
siempre pasa, cuando el dominio es estéril y no lo reflejas en el marcador, acabas
lamentandolo.

Ya empezaron los problemas que "todo técnico quisiera tener". Después de la
buena exhibición que dió el equipo el pasado Sábado, una de las figuras del equipo vuelve a la
carga al recuperarse por completo de su lesión.
Después de perderse los partidos de las fechas uno y dos, hoy "Lucho" entrenó al
parejo de sus compañeros y está a disposición del cuerpo técnico para ser tomado en
cuenta en el partido de la jornada tres frente al Cruz Azúl.

On a steaming hot night in Houston, the Dynamo took a huge stride in tethering in the Goats at
the top of the West with a 1-0 win in front of a very respectable 14,500 Wednesday night crowd at
Robertson Stadium.
Chivas came in sporting the best overall record in MLS and a 6 point lead at the top of the
Western standings, but left in a somewhat more precarious position after being out muscled by the
Orange, despite setting up in a defensive 4-5-1 to try to nullify the ever effective Houston engine
room.
