Lukas Podolski is on the brink of making a permanent switch to Galatasaray. Latest reports indicated that the Turkish club is confident of sealing the transfer. If they are successful to do so, it would be after three unsuccessful attempts from the Turkish giants. Galatasaray tried to sign him in 2012 from the German club [.
Lukas Podolski is, according to reports, close to joining the Turkish club Galatasaray. The German international striker had a frustrating last season with both Arsenal and Inter Milan. Podolski lost favour with Arsene Wenger and was unable to get any game time under him for the first half of the season.
It has not been a very well-kept secret that the Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski wants out of his contract with the Gunners as much as we all want to get rid of him! Both Galatasary and Podolski himself have publicised that there have been talks about him making the move to the Turkish Super Lig [...]
Earlier this week there was widespread coverage of a quote, purportedly from Lukas Podolski, in an obscure Turkish website. ‘I have agreed with Galatasaray,' he http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/23/lukas-podolski-confirms-hes-agreed-galatasaray-transfer-from-arsenal-5261764/. ‘I want to leave.' There are not many Arsenal fans that would be sad to see him go now, although many thought it was a mistake for Wenger to [.
Given the state of the group should I find something else to do than struggle to find a stream? Should you?
No need to go through the significance (or not) of this game you already know we are through and highly unlikely to achieve top spot. In a way this is a shame as an away tie in Turkey should be exciting, instead it is an exercise in escaping injuries.
Wenger Confirms that Arsenal Ace Needs a Breather! by AT Considering the red-hot form of the Alexis Sanchez, it is no surprise to learn that the Chilean international has been extensively used by Arsenal so far this season. Speaking ahead of the game against Stoke City at the Brittania Stadium, the Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger [.
After Arsenal's poor showing against Anderlecht in the double-header stage of the Champions League Group it looked like we were going to struggle to qualify, but our 2-0 win over an out-of-form Dortmund team has now guaranteed our progression to the knockout rounds. There IS a chance we could still top the group, but the [.
We all know that UEFA are a farce and this has been proved once again with the news that Arsenal are to be charged because Galatasary fans smuggled in numerous flares which they threw onto the pitch during the game. Flares are very common in Turkey and you will see hundreds of them lit up [...]
Arsenal vs Galatasaray Preview, Predicted Line up and score by KJ We went into this season excited at the possibilities with the acquisition of Welbeck and Sanchez. However, I do feel a lack of excitement going into this Champions League match because of our poor form, our poor football and all of our injured players.
We should look to keep Podolski by KJ There are rumours flying about today from Turkey that Galatasaray have sent a delegation to London to discuss the transfer of the Arsenal winger Lukas Podolski. He's struggled for game time at the club simply because he's outclassed by our other wide options but even then, I'm [.
Didier Drogba scored two late goals to win the Emirates Cup as Galatasary came from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1. The Ivorian striker cancelled out Theo Walcott's 37th minute opener with a cooly struck penalty kick thirteen minutes from time. Not content with that 'Didi' seized on Wesley Sneijder's excellent pass four minutes from time [.
Galatasary have won the Emirates Cup after a double from Didier Drogba gave the Turkish outfit a 2-1 win over Arsenal. The big Ivorian came back to haunt the Gunners YET AGAIN after a strike two minutes from time gave Galatasary a 2-1 win over their hosts. In a match Arsene Wenger's men needed to [..
The highly talented Turkish midfielder Arda Turan has been linked with Arsenal ever since he was a precocious teenager at Galatasary, but he preferred to serve his apprenticeship in his home country. When he finally decided to leave Turkey, he was snapped up by Atletico Madrid for just £12million and moved to La Liga.
Many Arsenal fans were extremely surprised when the Gunners supersub (and cult hero) Emmanuel Eboue
announced that he was moving to Turkey with Galatasary last summer. It was questioned whether this
was a wise move by Wenger considering that Eboue was a very versatile and talented backup for the
Arsenal defence (and how man times [.
When Sagna was out injured not too long ago, Arsenal have since been suffering in the right back
position. Bacary Sagna has been an extremely important part to the Arsenal backline, his backup
will also be essential as seen in recent matches where Arsenal look rather vulnerable on the right.
So the question comes, should [.
It is being reported today that Arsenal have agreed a £4m fee with the Turkish giants Galatasary
for the 28 year-old defender Emmanuel Eboue, and he is leaving with Arsene Wenger's blessing. We
all knew that Denilson and Bendtner were going to be out the door, but Eboue was thought to be
staying at Arsenal [.
The ever-erratic Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has reached the great age of 28, but has never
really made a name for himself as a regular in the Gunners first team. He was a near hate-figure
for the Arsenal fans a few seasons ago but has now become like a lovable uncle that cheers up his

The curious case of Wesley Sneijder - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Of all the stories doing the rounds in the twice-yearly silly-season that is the transfer window, the one involving Wesley Sneijder is the most baffling.
This is the player who, just two years ago, was hailed as the man that should have beaten Lionel Messi to the Ballon d'Or, after the Dutchman's majestic performances inspired his club to Champions League success and his country to the World Cup final.
Ancelotti is without his talisman C.Ronaldo. He had a thigh injury last week and is out of this mid week clash against Galatasary. Real Madrid need 1 point to top the group and get a relatively easy team in the round of 16 of Champions League (hopefully). There is no need to risk Ronaldo and [...]
Cristiano Ronaldo hit a hat-trick as Real Madrid thumped Galatasary 6-1 in their opening Group B Champions League clash in Istanbul. Ronaldo, who extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2018 earlier in the week, scored with his left foot, his right foot, before firing home with aplomb after producing a mazy run preluded by [.
Galatasaray play Real Madrid tonight. Ronaldo and Bale are both in the squad though rumours have it that Bale would not start the match because of fitness issues. Well, if that is indeed the case he gave no indications of it in the Villarreal match just 4 days ago. Drogba has come out and said [...]

Former Chelsea superstar and current Galatasaray forward Didier Drogba is putting his support behind Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho returning to Chelsea.
The tie between these two players go back a ways as Drogba was one of Mourinho's first signings at his time at Stamford Bridge.
I was reading this article in the Telegraph and it really got me thinking about Didier Drogba and
next season. To cut a long story short, opinion here is that Chelsea have been impressed with
Drogba's form since January and both sides are open to Didier staying at Chelsea for another
season.
The Indonesian Football Association haven't had much success trying to host teams recently.
Everton, Galatasary and Espanyol Reserves have all said no to Jakarta's charms despite much wooing
from here.
The SCTV Cup however does appear, for now, to be going ahead. Involved are Indonesia, Indonesia
U22, North Korea and Malaysia U22.

The fall out continues from Everton's last minute cancellation of their trip to Indonesia for the
Java Cup.
Considering the fact that Everton are an English team, albeit from Merseyside, there was always
going to be a lot of interest locally in this competition. Yet the publicity was minimal.
I know I've banged the drum about this before but in light of recent developments, I feel it needs
to be said again: Basel midfield maestro Xherdan Shaqiri is available for transfer right now for a
comparatively cheap price, and Liverpool would be mad to miss out on this golden opportunity to
sign the Swiss International.
The window closes on Wednesday at midnight in England, and with Liverpool getting the bulk of
their incomings sorted well before the season even started there may not be all that much room for
the excitement of a last minute acquisition or three. Still, there are a few chunks of remaining
deadwood the club would desperately love to be rid of at any cost.

Three games down, three left, and with the new Premier League season just over the horizon it
wouldn't be surprising to see many key players get more than a half of action when Liverpool heads
to Istanbul to take on Galatasaray later today.
While the believed transfers into Liverpool FC of Alexander Doni and Stewart Downing continue to
dominate Anfield related press, it has gone a little more quiet on the subject of a new left back
arriving at the club.
With the club believed to be looking to bolster the squad in that area, will it be the likes of
Cissokho, Baines, Enrique, Izaguirre etc arriving at the club or will Kenny Dalglish look to rely
on the likes of Aurelio, Agger, Flanagan and Johnson to fill the role in the 2011/12 season?
Stuart Holden took the next step in his recovery process on Monday, returning to the practice
field for Bolton Wanderers for the first time since March.
Having been unable to train for the past five months due to a knee injury, Holden returned to
training on the day of his 26th birthday.
Over the course of the week, New England Soccer Today will examine a trio of players that
may be targeted by the New England Revolution during the summer transfer window, which opened on
July 15th. While the Revolution have revealed little in terms of which players has been targeted,
three possibilities have emerged.
DOHA, Qatar — Australia stormed into their first Asian Cup final on Tuesday with a 6-0 thrashing
of 10-man Uzbekistan to set up a decider against three-time champions Japan. Galatasary forward
Harry Kewell got the opener on five minutes and Asian player of the year Sasa Ognenovski doubled
their lead 11 minutes before half-time.

violence erupting at the end of the match with home fans storming the pitch and attacking police!
Both sides were reduced to ten men in an explosive Istanbul derby, but ultimately it was visitors

There may finally be some movement with regards to Diego Forlan and whether it involves
Tottenham or not, it seems that the Uruguayan is hinting at a move to England.
He may equally have been hinting at a move to Turkey a few weeks ago, but Galatasary President
Enrqiue Cerezo has given the clue as to where his future may lie,
"Diego will decide what happens, but it looks like his first choice will be England," said
Cerezo.
It can only go from bad to worse for FIFA and its continued war against corruption.
Currently suspended FIFA vice president Jack Warner claims he has no intention of meeting with
investigators looking into the bribery allegations surrounding the troubled organization.
