Copa America 2011
Argentina 0:0 Colombia
The host nation has embarked on a round of navel-gazing following a second successive draw in the
Copa America.
On a foggy night in Santa Fe, Argentina, despite boasting the likes of Lionel Messi and Carlos
Tevez in their lineup, failed to catch fire and stumbled listlessly to a goalless finish with
Colombia.
Argentina's second performance in the 2011 Copa América they are hosting had to be better than the

Copa America 2011: Argentina continue to stutter and what is wrong with Messi? is a post from:

So it seems that, in Argentina, even the wind can tackle Messi. Sure, the Barcelona phenomenon
may have banged in over 50 goals in all competitions during the domestic season. But in the company
of his fellow compatriots the poor guy just cannot catch a break.

When Brazil won the last Copa America back in 2007, Lucas Moura was busy competing in the
Under-15 Paulista State Championship. Four years later, the Sao Paulo winger is one of three
supremely gifted youngsters being counted on to help Brazil capture another title, while restoring
some luster to a soccer nation perceived by many around the globe to be in decline.

cuatro fechas.

Milito header during Real Sociedad match (Photo: David Ramos/Getty Images)
Saturday tuned out to be a bad night for FC Barcelona as their seven month unbeaten streak in La
Liga came to an end at the hands of Real Sociedad.
The 1-2 loss for Barcelona was the least of their problems because during the match they lost
two more defenders due to injury.

When Barcelona meets Real Madrid Wednesday afternoon for the third time in a span of less than
two weeks it will have a major defensive reinforcement.
Captain Carles Puyol has been included in the squad for Barcelona's UEFA Champions League
semifinal first leg with Madrid.
"Sh*t Barcelona, you're just a sh*t Barcelona" was the, hands down, favourite chant of Spurs
fans last night. It bought a smile to my face but, in hindsight, it wasn't the worst insult in the
world. Watching them first hand last night really was something special. They way they moved the
ball, the control of the game which such ease and their calmness in possession are traits any team
would love to include in their open play.

There is no place for Carlos Tevez or Sergio Aguero in the Argentina squad that coach Sergio
Batista brings to New York for Saturday's friendly against the U.S.
Injury has kept Aguero out of some recent squads -- he has not played for his country since
coming on as a substitute and scoring against Spain last September.
The Argentine coach, Sergio Batista, has chosen the 25 players he will bring to his two friendlies
against the United States & Costa Rica. Again, no sign of Carlos Tevez

memorable 0-0 tie at Giants Stadium, Lionel Messi will be returning to New Jersey to try again to
beat Howard and the U.S. men's national team.
